Thanks Frisky.  I'll end up passing unless its an incredible discount.  Just don't like it that much to play a lot of money.

Plus it says it will be PSM and not Vita native.  PSM games just don't seem as good (although my experience has only been the free ones)

Can I only save my save files to usb stick and ps+ and then upgrade the hard drive without making a backup of the whole system? I don't have a spare portable hard drive to back up the other files too. I'm ok with re-downloading the actual games. Also, I have the passwords to my psn accounts so I can just re-login after I replace the drive, right?

So can I just save my save files, take out the hard drive, and then put the new one in?

Eufloria HD is a Vita game. They're also working on Eufloria Adventures for PSM, which is a separate game altogether.

99% sure the answer is yes as I believe that's what I did.

Must be that time of year, because I'm doing the same thing today. I decided to officially retire my fat launch PS3 as my main gamer - I can't believe that beast's still ticking, and I just know that the second I put a new hard drive in it and download a ton of stuff it's going to stop working.

That was an easy fix, thanks guys. and even better they just gave me $10 promo credit, rather than AIV credit, so woot.

"I am sorry that you didn't receive the $ 10 promotional credit for the order . Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.

I've checked your account and can confirm that due to some technical issues the Promotional Certificate was not shown in your account which was supposed to.

To get this corrected, I have issued a new Promotional Certificate worth $ 10 to your account which will apply for any future orders on Amazon.com.

This promotional code expires on Thursday, December 31, 2020. This $ 10 new promotional code is a general promotional code and this promotional balance doesn't appear in Your Account but will always display when you place any order from Amazon store.

Ok, so I popped UMvC3... holy sheot what has happened to the fighter genre over the years?  The game doesn't have much of a "intro" mode per say.  I jumped into an Arcade with Spidey/Iron Man/Ghost Rider (some of my fave teamups) and got absolutely wrecked fighting Galactus.  So I'm currently on the web googling stuff because, frankly, I miss SFII and MK (the original).  :)

Capcom is terrible at teaching people how to play their fighting games. I don't know how they've gotten to 10+ games without figuring out an easy way to show them what to do.

you picked a rough one to jump in on, if you havent played fighting games since SF2 days. its basically nonstop hyper nonsense.

What's a fighting game of that level of complexity that does a really good job teaching people how to play it though?

Didn't the thread on here say you had to have received the email about it to get the $5 credit?

I redeemed my trial today and made sure it isn't going to auto renew. I listened to one Powerman 5000 song and turned it off. The speakers on my Tv aren't that good and I really don't want another subscription based service. Hopefully I get the $5, but for some reason I am skeptical about this promo. It has nothing to do with you specifically, I just feel like it is going to be a hassle to get the $5 credit. Thanks for the info Josh1billion.

Just mash, you aren't going to be entering any tourneys anytime soon. Find a couple players that you are probably familiar with like Ryu and just get used to the basics. Most of the fighting games now are pretty intimidating but they still do a decent enough job being accessible to those who aren't going to be top level players.

Mortal Kombat for the Vita did a pretty good job of showing me how to play.

I recall trying to play the demo for Street Fighter III Third Strike, or whatever it was called, and the game didn't even have the means of telling what buttons corresponded to what icons on the move list. That could've just been a demo thing, but that's a really bad thing to not do.

I think I remember Blazblue having a reasonable training intro too (considering the system complexity). umvc3 is a brutal way to reintroduce yourself to the genre, but if you're willing to put in some time you can do some stuff that's pretty satisfying to look at. I'll never ever be able to hang with mid to high level folks, but I really enjoy taking Hulk and going nuts.

I'm not completely ignorant of the genre.. just.. don't play it.. often.

Like... on cruise we'd play Dead or Alive or Soulcalibur and I'd mash my way through.  I'd find some characters that I could juggle with and I'd play them.  I also found there is a bit of a training mode so I think I'll jump in there to play.  It helps just to know it's H,M,L.  I was hitting buttons thinking HK, MK, LK, HP, MP, LP :)

BlazBlue is good about teaching you stuff. Well, the first game (Calamity Trigger) didn't really, but the second (Continuum Shift) did.

You can get the Limited Edition of Continuum Shift EXTEND (the "complete" version) for pretty cheap still, like at Amazon.

Not unless you want to start something.

My neighbors hate Music Unlimited.  Sorry, neighbors.

Edit: I love the catalog, but man, streaming music sounds like shit.

The service is not ready for prime time.

It's not the fastest thing on the console and the selection and navigation leaves much to be desired.

Some tweaks, a better UI, and I think I'll try it again. Way too bare bones for what they're asking.

Agreed, it is not a bad service, I got an unbelievable value out of it during my $12 for 12 months promo, but I won't pay full price for it.

Thanks. Everything went smoothly.

Yeah, I bought a new drive during Black Friday for the ps4 but I decided not to buy the ps4 until they officially announce Logitech g27 support. Hopefully, that'll happen with Driveclub. Anyway, the drive I bought was was the Seagate 1TB sshd hybrid drive ST1000LM014 for $90. It's the best drive for the ps4 according to hardocp and tested.com. My ps3 seems to be a lot faster but I have no idea if it actually has the same speedy effect on the ps3 as it does on the ps4.

I did panic when I was asked for my credit card info when I attempted to log in to psn since the only card I used was a prepaid card from Walmart/BestBuy/wherever years ago. Luckily the "No longer have the credit card" option still allowed me to log in. But the credit card info is being deleted from my account, apparantly.

The Vita version of Music Unlimited is way better. You can fast forward/rewind songs. It seemed like on the PS3 you had to hear the whole song to get to a certain part.

Just an FYI. Everyone that was planning on installing TN-V4 for homebrew had better get to downloading 101 in 1 megamix before it's taken down from psn. I noticed that the ninja release has been made public so there is probably very little time left before it is removed.

Wow I downloaded One Piece:pW2 and I thought I only played for 1hr but when I looked at the time I saw that I had been playing for 4hrs. The game is seriously addicting and I had an itch to play a One Piece game since I started to watch the Anime again on Toonami. I have no clue who the hell 75% of the playable characters are but im sure Toonami will catch me up eventually.

man you are really tempting me to buy One Piece:pW2

is it Digital-Only in the US?

I'm feel really bummed for missing

FF XIV and Terraria last week :/

the ps+ save system is so weird. i uploaded all the saves that weren't transferrable to a usb stick before upgrading my hard drive. now when i go to download any of the ps+ saves, it says i have to wait 24 hrs to re-download. ummm...i didn't download any saves in the few days. guess it is counting the uploads, which is stupid.

to those who got DUngeons and Dragons: what visual mode do you play on? Crisp or smooth? normally when theres an option like that i pick crisp but i kinda think i may prefer smooth this time. Just curious what some of you picked. Too bad the widescreen seems to just stretch the image out and not actually expand it like MVC2 does

Question for Walking Dead vets.

I picked it up the last time it was on sale and am now going to start knocking it out.  Do I remember correctly that someone said to avoid the ending cutscenes between episodes because it spoils a lot of stuff?

Definitely skip them if you're playing them back to back. They were made as a way to get people to buy the next episode so they did have a lot of big scenes in them to entice.

Depends on how sensitive you are to that kind of thing. It's the typical "NEXT TIME ON [...]". I don't mind it, but it's understandable that some do. Probably best to avoid/skip them since you can watch play each episode at your own pace now anyway.

EDIT: Beaten...
