Is $29.99 the new retail price for Dragon's Crown Vita? That is what it is going for on GameStop.com and Amazon.com, and last Saturday, I saw it had been reduced in GameStop stores as well.

Is PSN going to hike it back up to $39.99?

Anyways, I'm over it.  Time to decide if I want the Revert pack for Tony Hawk.  In researching it, I found out they actually gave away the Revert ability to everyone via a patch.  So really this Revert pack is just 3 new levels and 0 new trophies.

My rule of thumb, only pay full price for something if I intend to play it immediately.

Exactly. When I was first active here I was buying things left and right because they were $20 or less. Eventually I found myself buried under a mountain of stuff I had no real desire to play.

I cut that out and now I just shop smart instead of impulsively. I do miss the glory days of the Amazon Warehouse, though.

I picked up a Sharp Shooter controller and it's quite nice. Played a bit of House of the Dead Overkill and it was an interesting way to play that game.

For my rule I add "if it has possibly of becoming rare" to it, if the current backlog is two digits. Worked wonders.

And since we are on the topic of Move, I recommend time crisis, overkill, and the fight. Also grand slam tennis if you play tennis. I didn't like sorcery.

Ya know what would be cool?  If I could download games to my Vita without constantly having to reboot the system.  Alas, it is only 2013 and I guess the technology just doesn't exist where you can download several things at once without 3-4 reboots.

WRONG! Liar is wrong! The first VCR was the Victor HR-3300 and it came out in 1976. And unless you lived in Japan, you would have had to wait to get an inferior RCA model in 1977.

Stoked for Okami.  Would have been cool if the older RE games were included in this sale (they're not on steam, so it would be sweet to have them on PS3...especially that RE 4/Code Veronica X bundle).  I grabbed some of these Capcom games on steam over the weekend otherwise.

Wow, finally got a psn deal for my tastes!!  Will pick up D&D and capcom cabinet... might have to double dip on final fight double impact (have it physically on 360).   As much as I hate digital rights to a game, it's the only way to play these games on my ps3!  Now to find someone with a 1-month PSN code so that I can get some discounts!

Edit:  Does Okami have move support?  If so, I may have to put in for that one also!

Being new to Vita, and buying it used off of Craigslist, I was a bit freaked out when the store seemed to continue to fail. It definitely works a lot more than it fails, but it is so annoying when it dies that it seems like it happens all the time.

Use the web store and queue things up, works best for both systems. The Vita you just have to wake up once the stuff's queued so it reconnects to wifi.

I was downloading stuff that way, it still failed. Id either get a frozen screen after starting the download where I would get a red circle in the corner if I tried to hit the PS button to go to anything else. I would have to power cycle to recover.

In fact, the one time I actually purchased directly from the store it worked with no issue.

I've gotten way better at just getting my Vita stuff from the webstore so I don't have to deal with the stupid freezing bug. But I just got a couple new memory cards and the easiest way to redownload stuff is directly from the Vita.

Oh and I managed to erase most of my progress on Kung Fu Rabbit in the process of upgrading memory cards, so that's cool! :wall: Not sure how I did it, could have sworn I had my most recent save file in the cloud. Apparently I didn't...

 
Good tip on the webstore guys, I am going to give it a shot. I too am pretty pissed with the random freezing. I average a freeze 50% of the time (not an exaggeration either sadly).

On a side note, I really wish Dragon's Crown was on sale for $20. I feel like I have waited long enough now that I really don't want to bite @ $10 off. $20 would be the sweet spot for me. I guess I will have to wait a few more months.

There's a B2G1 at Gamestop from 10/18-10/20 for people with PUR. It's possible GS won't bump the price back up on DC before that starts. Combine the 10% off with the $28 preowned and it becomes $25 before the B2G1. Could be a decent deal.

If you're really impatient, $25 is still a decent deal if you can find a preowned copy around.

True, that is not bad at all. I actually prefer digital, but for the right deal, I would be fine with a physical copy.

 
Bought Spelunky. Well worth the $15 for PS3/Vita version. Love the indie games coming to Vita and how amazing things look on the Vita. Probably not getting to $50 though

On the freezing download issue, I did too have problems with the Vita downloading directly, so I just queue the downloads on my PS3 and either let my PS+ download them over night. Didnt have a problem downloading Spelunky though.

I'll say this for what it's worth - if you really like the idea of dragon's crown, get in before the online dries up too much. if you're planning on seeing it through to the higher levels you'll easily put 50 hours or so in to it.

I played the demo on my PS3 for a bit last night. Pretty immediately addictive. Furthest I got was 1-4 and it was so instant to just hit that square button over and over again to try again.

Having said that...$15 is a bit high for me. This feels very similar to FTL (though faster-paced) which I got for $2.50. I know I'll quit playing it as soon as I beat the game, which will probably take a while, but still...too much.

Don't forget that it's cross-play now which will give a huge boost to online play.

I suppose I'm in the minority, but I don't like to play online games when they're too active. Everyone who plays then will be hunting for the best treasure, grinding bosses, skipping text and story bits. It's only when a game only has a few dozen stragglers online do you find people who care to read NPC text and whatnot. And of course by then the game's cheap as chips.

yeah it is very addicting. I dont even want to pee cause I want to restart immediately. Holy shit though the game is hard for me cause I was so impatient and just running. The amount of stupid deaths I would pull off in the game is redunkulous.

I would expect it to be on sale during a Steam sale, maybe Halloween. I traded 5 keys for a PC version as well and bought the PS3/Vita version. Me personally like supporting games like this, and I was on the fence to preorder on PS3 for 20% off with PS+, regret that now but whatever.

Guess im waiting on a PS4. I had a Watch Dogs/PS4 bundle at Amazon preordered. How will that work now? I guess Watch Dogs is getting taken out of that?
