I still like the free stuff we get. I think the cloud saves and auto updates are some of the best ps+ perks. I think that if the monthly psp game was replaced with a retail title people would probably be happier over here. weird that EU never (?) gets psp titles.
 
At least I already own the 2 EU PS+ games I would want out of the group, so there's that.

I'm hoping SCEA blows us away with the new Vita "anchor" games in November.

I'm guessing whatever we get will be the same as what EU gets, since that is what happened with the PS3 "anchor" games.

I didn't join for them, but after experiencing the joys of auto updating, the games could become complete garbage and I'd probably still stay subscribed (not that I want them to of course).

I actually prefer slightly less mainstream games being added to plus. I probably wouldn't have checked out Sleeping Dogs, Vanquish, XCOM, or Darksiders had they not been added, but I had a blast with them all :D/

I definitely wouldn't turn down getting Dragon's Dogma. I tried the demo a while back and had a lot of fun. Fingers crossed ^_^

The Resident Evil and Ico games are just HD remakes.

Wow! Really? I have never complained about the US Plus, and I'm not going to start now. Hopefully, these will all eventually make it over here. The EU Plus people got Assassin's Creed III last month, and now they are getting Far Cry 3, Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen AND Street Fighter X Tekken! That's a great, great offering.

I just purchased Dragon Dogma for $10 new on Neweggs just now, and of course, Dark Arisen could be coming over soon.

Heck no! Not for $149. It will come out here eventually (probably right after the PS4 launches in Japan - since I have a feeling Sony didn't want to hurt their feelings with the PS4 not being available for up to 3 months after the US launch). When it does come over, it will be priced agressively to compete with all the other competitions at anywhere from $79 to $99. But none of those boxes from the competitions play Vita games. :bow:

Are you importing if it doesn't come over or doing so as soon it launches in Japan? If it never comes, I might get it for the novelty, but I don't know if it's worth getting early. There isn't a lot of compatible software (that can change with patches, obviously), and I'm not that keen on playing vita games on my TV anyway, lol. The other touted features that I'm more interested in (ps4 extender, cloud streaming) haven't been given a timeline.

You know, honestly, I don't see how you can say a 3/5 is simply a 6/10 or 60%. Seems ridiculous. I'd interpret a 3/5 as anything between 6.0-8.0 on a 10-point scale. That's why metacritic's rigid normalization can be problematic.

I'm thinking as soon as it launches but I'm not 100% sure yet. It might be better to wait it out as you said. I guess the $99 price point makes more sense too as $150 feels a bit too much especially since I have a dual shock 3 already.

That and they get all their games at the same time but that has it's ups and downs. It's nice to have a little goody each week but at the same time it's awful to have to wait all month if the one game you want is the last week (Rayman Origins).

No, they've already talked about the other regions getting it and for $100 if you don't need a DS3.

Yes, NA and Japan share the same power and TV formats.

I just skimmed the last few pages but if no one mentioned it yet the store's updating, the games are free and there's a Squenix sale that's all Sleeping Dogs DLC and Kane and Lynch games. I knew when I saw that banner it was too much to hope for that it would be a couple Final Fantasy games.

That's cool, that LSL game might be the second coming, I have no idea. Moral of the story is that reviews are dumb and polygon doesn't have the market cornered on that fact - read the review if you want and draw your own conclusions to aid you in your purchases.

Speaking of that DC review, am I the only one that hadn't had slowdown problems on the via version? Only one time that I can recall did the action drag for a second or two.

Wow what is taking Dragon's Crown patch 1.02 so long to get to NA.

 i took a break 2 weeks ago cuz I already beat normal/hard with my wizard, and I wanted to wait til he was even more op, but geez...

Glad i sold that ico/sotc combo when they had sotc for $5. woot

and im a douche so i kept the box/art anyway, flipped it inside out, looks sweet on my shelf of ps+ games. ;)

I've got to say, this nearly weekly addition of soul sacrifice content for free has really been helping keep it as the only cartridge game I ever even keep in my vita anymore.

I got the Drunken Master and Monkey King pack (on top of everything else). Id grab those when they go onsale. I like the combat styles for both. Get to be a Monkey King with a Nimbus motorcycle, smack people with a pole like Wukong, and the Drunken Master is really fun when you build up the meter and get drunk. Reminds me of Drunken Master 2 and Chan doing Down the Hatch and Wheelbarrow.

Looking at the Sleeping Dogs DLC. I kind of wish there was a game of the year / complete edition for the game with all the DLC.  All the clothing packs, I want and the story DLC would cost me about $25 if I were to get them all in one shot.

The problem with extra outfit DLC in these types of games is that by using them you'll end up missing out on using the clothing that's actually in game. I think I changed my outfit at least once every story mission, and still never came close to wearing everything I liked.

On another note, for how expensive the story DLC is I was really disappointed with it. NiNP and YotS were fun, but were not nearly as fleshed out as they should have been. I preferred the Zodiac Tournament to both of them, as it adds an entirely new area to the main game, as opposed to just being 5 or so missions on an empty alternate version of the normal map. Too bad it didn't have trophies.
