It's an impressive piece of tech and I'm glad they gave just enough flexibility in configuration so more than a handful of people could get it working.

sooner or later I'll try it over the internet - I've got a meager (?) 20m up at home which is hopefully enough to sustain something.

Edit: I guess I did have the one issue that I really, really suck at Killzone. I mean I am completely awful.

I haven't bothered to try online MP with remote play for fear that I would be at a disadvantage against people using the super sexy DS4 (I really, really like this controller). But I might go ahead and give the Killzone multiplayer a try tonight.

I'm also using a Fios router and had no trouble connecting to my PS4 downstairs.

On an unrelated note (well related in that it is more PS4 gushing), Flower looks amazing on there. Made me decide to start playing through it again. I'm really impressed/happy that they made it free for previous buyers. Anyone know if Pinball Arcade will be the same way when it releases next month?

They're going to offer discounts for owners of the game and/or DLC on the PS3/Vita versions.

But a big plus is that you can charge the DS4 from any micro-USB cable, and everyone has those chargers all over the place because they're standard on Android phones. I can live with the shorter battery life, given the ease of charging. Haven't tried my car cellphone charger, but I imagine that would work too.

I just plug mine into my PC where I've always got micro USB cables plugged in and is always on.

My cable box has a usb port on the front of it and I would generally charge my DS3's using it. I tried to charge the DS4 the same way and my cable box immediately lost power/reset. I'm guessing it sucks up a bit more power than the old controllers.

 
Is there a way to prioritize the vita connecting to the PS4 via router rather than direct connection?

My PS4 is in the basement, and my router is on the 2nd floor right next to my room. I have Fios btw. When playing a game in my room, I get stuttering pretty frequently, making a game like FIFA 14 unplayable. I think the Vita is connecting to the PS4 directly. I say this because even when I tell the vita to forget my router wifi SSID, I can still connect to the PS4 from my room and I get the same performance that way compared to when I'm actually connected to my router wirelessly. The stronger signal is definitely my wifi, but I feel the Vita prefers to connect to the PS4.

Also, I tested remote play via internet at my girlfriend's place about 5 miles away and it worked flawlessly, and she also has Fios and the same router type. So do I just have a messed up router or is there a setting in my router I should be looking at. Or can I altogether disable the PS4's wifi so it doesn't try to communicate to the vita?

 
Apparently Resogun and Contrast are free to PS+?  How come when I am on the store and click PS+ and "free games," they're not on the list?  Or are they newly free today and they're just not on the list yet?  Cause I just "purchased" them now (for free--don't own a PS4, but someday I will probably).

Been free since Friday. I think they just never added them to that page. If I go to the PS+ page they show up in the banner for me.

Apparently the key to remote play is to have Fios. Lol. I don't have FIOS but I do get free cable, phone, and internet (legitimately) so I won't be switching.

Add wallet funds>Click Paypal>Select Amount>Log into Paypal account.

Anyone have experience with the Afterglow gaming headset that's usually around $99? Reviews seem solid but I want more real people that I "know" to give opinions before I drop the cash.

If you look at platform section under PS Plus Free Games you'll see that PS4 isn't even an option. Hopefully they'll put that in there soonish, but right now all you have to do is pull the games up directly and then add them that way.

So I think I have maybe found the common thread which causes it to charge full price for free games. When I add it to the cart from the game's store page, it is not free, but when I click the cart button from either the PS+ free game page or the search page, then it is free in the cart.

 
I added both. I had to go to the PS+ page. Using the above links, when I added them to the cart they showed up full price. From the PS+ free games page I was able to add them properly. Queued up Binary. I need to make space for Stranger's Wrath. :(

 
Why doesn't Atlus just get it over with and make everything in their portfolio available for an Amy. I mean it's all on sale every damn week anyway.

I did. I thought it looked and sounded cool until it got what might be the worst reviews of all time. I'm still planning on starting it up soon because I don't think it's fair for me to pick on it until I try it - I end up liking a lot of games people think suck.

Just finished "purchasing" it too. Combine that with Resogun, Contrast, Blacklight Retribution, Warframe, and Flower, and I will have six free games waiting for me on a not-yet-purchased PS4. And I know Escape Plan is coming soon, which will also be free for me to grab for PS4. Not too shabby at all!

I am pretty sure he was referring to the new DLC, which based on his card, he already completed.

Can we redeem those PS4 games yet? Apparently since Sony is mega expediting the fixing process now I should have mine back Friday or Monday.
