Every God of War game I've played has always had extra chests, as you'll just find chests with orbs in them once you've maxed out your health/mana/whatever else. As long as you're not skipping a ton of them, you should be fine.
Now that you mention that I feel dumb for stressing it, I now remember maxing both bars in GOW 2 and getting the red orbs from white chests. I didn't bother trying to find all of them in 1, 3 or the PSP games so maybe that's why it wasn't fresh on my mind. I just looked back at my trophies and I did get them all in those games. I think it's time for some sleep...

Wait until you get to the Trial of Archimedes.
I'm dreading it. Is it really that bad post-patch?

That's a good price for Ni No Kuni and even though I finished it as a rental, I wouldn't mind owning it at that price.

However, it's a rather massive game so I'm not sure if I want to own it as a digital copy.

It took me longer to finally get past that part than it did to beat the Challenge of the Gods on any of the previous games.

I finally had to go to videos for strategies and even then it took me a while to get passed it. Yes, that was post patch.
Geez. What difficulty level were you playing on?

The extended warranty works for the spend $60 get $10 back, right? I was looking at the warranty and just a filler item for the promo. Thanks in advance!

First time I played God of War, I got to the room right after you get the huge semi-useless sword, where there are 4-5 gorgons and some other stuff, and it took me multiple runs, at about 10-15 attempts per run, to finally beat it. Whatever the Challenge of the Gods was in GoW, it was not NEARLY that hard for me.

My plan is complete! I told you I was going to suck you back into trophy whoring. MWAHAHAHAHA.

Also it hasn't helped that everything I've been playing lately doesn't have trophies.
Eldie, you seem to not know what trophy whoring is. When he starts playing Hannah Montana again, then he'll be trophy whoring. Also, do you just put games in the system, start them, and then never touch them again?

That reminds me I need to finish God of War 3 and Ascension.

Blast from the past, you remember that glitch trick in god of war 2 i think it was, where you smack that harpy and then climb the ladder and it keeps bouncing off your head and you get infinite red gems and level everything up. I think I spent 15-20 mins trying to get that to initiate and my grrl was like wtf are you doing. Then i finally got it and walked away for an hour. woot. good times

Nothing's changed from before, I just ran through Rayman Origins to blast past you. Ironically, I'll probably earn more trophies the way I'm playing now since I'm skipping long multiplayer grinds.

Am I reading this right, you get the full version of Tecmo Throwback with DOA5 pack? thats a steal the regular game is 9.99

All about getting the addict back on the sauce.

That happens with far too many games unfortunately. Then there's random stuff on my trophy list that I've never even played. I am intent of getting through Tools of Destruction before I have to return it, not that it will help my percentage at all. Maybe I should just stick all my games in the system and instead aim for having the most games and the lowest completion.

Was $14.99 the lowest price Amazon had Ni No Kuni for? After you guys mentioned the size of the digital download, I'm considering buying a physical copy. It's OOS, but you can still order for that price.

Also, bought the latest Army of Two from Best Buy for $14.99 and now PSN has it for $7.50 with Plus discount. [Napoleon Dynamite]GOSH![/Napoleon Dynamite]

I would take a $15 physical copy over the $7.5 one, eBay still has good price for the game (assuming you are going to play it soon), you could easily recoup $12 after fees and shipping.

Anybody know the answer want to pick this up if true, thanks.
for .99 I went ahead and DL it and it is the full version of Tecmo Throwback which is normally 9.99, so great deal and it comes with DOA5 game that is the full game except for only core characters but still a lot for only a buck.

I know these are two completely different games, but I have Kingdoms of Amalur - Reckoning (thanks PS+) that I've been meaning to play. Am I better off playing that, or giving FFIV a try (at the current price)? I'm not really into MMO's (b/c of sub fees), but for 30 days, that's about how long I play most games these days.

I know it's personal preference, but having played both, I suggest playing DD:DA from + first rather than KoA.

Yeah... that's like the Rivals to GT6 comparison that makes me want to stab people in the eye with a triceratops. From a game play standpoint Amalur is going to be better. FFXIV is a good MMO and one of the better to come out since WoW but unlike The Secret World or Guild Wars 2 that at least tried to change the formula up a little FFXIV is very much WoW in a FF skin. Now the story and campaign are pretty good by MMO standards but still it's an MMO. If you're not all that into MMOs I would probably just save the $10 rather than try it, not get into it and then have to pay more down the road if you want to try it again.

That's good to know. The thing is I'm currently out of the country and probably won't be able to play it 'til next year. Also, there's no way to return it, so I guess I'll just have to stick with it.

My Ni No Kuni question remains. Is $14.99 the cheapest it has gone for? Should I buy a physical copy instead of a digital one?

This is a true CAG: buying games when knowing for certain they won't be played until next year.

Ni No Kuni box art is elegant and really nice to have on the shelf, I previously thought $19.99 would be the lowest and bought it then at BBY. Needlessly to say I am kicking myself. I beat the game already and loved it.

Haha, dude, don't get me started. I did all of my holiday shopping (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) while abroad with an already immense backlog waiting for me. Needless to say, it will be even bigger when I finally get to the new stuff.

Regardless, I'm also a collector, so, if I end up with a physical copy, I'll keep it anyway. It's just that I'm still a CAG, and when it comes to mediocre games, I tend not to care about getting the digital version if it means paying less. :p

As for Ni No Kuni, the only edition available is the Greatest Hits one, with the ugly red box. I was more worried about the digital download file size, people were talking about it on this thread and it's 50GB for the download and 25GB installed.

$15 for Battle Fantasia? Come on, it's a long dead poverty game, and the best they can offer is 25% off? There are physical import copies you can buy for around that price. I'd jump on it at $10, but $15 is pushing it.

Has anybody ever played Girl Fight? I just saw it and it looks like it play a lot like DOA.
I've played the demo and it's atrocious. It's a 3D fighter that doesn't have mids. Doesn't have mids.

Ni no Kuni is all right at $10-$15. I paid about $17 for my copy, and I certainly wasn't impressed enough by it to think it was worth more. It has its charm, but it's bogged down by a lot of flaws (such as a horribad battle system).
