Criticism of BotW is fine and everything, and Immortals does look fun, and sure I can understand people liking it more. But when people say Genshin Impact -a Chinese knockoff that's essentialy just a ftp gacha slot machine with waifus- is the better game, it literally physically pains me. And that's actually such a common take these days... like, the hipster opinion is BotW is overrated and boring, while Genshin Impact is the true hidden masterpiece. Mind-blowing.

You should've stopped at "waifus." Those filthy weebs will spend $200 on a literal figure of a character just so they can touch its plastic ass.

Honestly though, opinions and review scores mean nothing. Reviews are neither entirely subjective, nor entirely objective, hence you should only reference a review from someone whose content you mostly agree with, IN PASSING, to determine whether you buy the game or not. The myriad ways that a review consensus can be skewed are too vast to be a qualified metric in determining a game's worth. No single reviewer has played every video game ever. Most reviewers don't get the time to fully process a game before writing a review. Hell, lots of reviewers these days are just random people who started a review website. For every reviewer that gets paid to promote Cyberpunk 2077, there's an 8-year-old claiming Roblox is the best game ever, and a whole frat of college guys who'd give Madden 25 a 10/10. Doesn't make it gospel if they paid extra for GoDaddy or a Wordpress custom site.

Formulate your own opinions and never parrot other people's words as if they carry more weight than yours. And don't think that you need justification to have the opinion. Everyone is just some person, lol.

I have yet to play a 3D Zelda game I have enjoyed and found Link Between Worlds a welcome lifeline in the series. As for Immortals, I really wanted to like it but by the time I cleared Aphrodite's zone I was so tired of rolling giant magnetic balls around and/or guiding arrows. Looked at the map and oh goody, three more gods and Ganon's Typhon's region to go. Total time was eight hours before uninstalling it.

I really hope A Link Between Worlds gets a Swtich port for the 35th anniversary, what a tremendous title.

The only one I've played so far is Cat Quest with my stepson, and it's been great fun. Not sure how it is if playing solo, though. But it's got charming visuals, easy to grasp controls, and a nice little story.

We've been playing it on XB1, but I'm sure on PS4 it's not drastically different beyond the shape of the controller.

It actually was able to be gotten for 30 around launch with the target and best buy promos iirc. I almost bit but was like eh I'll just wait till it drops like most ubisoft games do. I platinumed both Cat Quest games and enjoyed both of them. They're kind of short games (according to my PS5, I put 13 hours into Cat Quest 2, and 11 hours into the first game) but they're both totally worth it. Cat Quest 2 in single player isn't very different than the first, you just have a NPC companion (kinda like Secret of Mana) that you can swap back and forth from with a push of a button.

At least the price seems consistent, I think I bought Harmonix Music VR at full price last year since it never went back on sale(no price drops since Oct 2017 according to PS Deals), until suddenly this year in September/November it went on sale.

Forager is a great game! I know the Xbox version got 1000g achievements, but I’m not sure if the PS version ever got the platinum, which would be a drawback for some people.

Maneater is one of those games I've kinda wanted to try but would never spend money on, so the perfect PS+ kind of game for me. Always looked like silly fun.

Too bad Maneater is PS5 only. Hoping what they did with Worms being available on both PS5 and PS4 this month might happen a few more times.

Forager is a great game! I know the Xbox version got 1000g achievements, but I’m not sure if the PS version ever got the platinum, which would be a drawback for some people.

Forager is only BRONZE trophies. But on the bright side, all the glitches were fixed (at least they seem to be) so the game is fully playable all the way to the end.

I'm really pretty pumped to play Shadow/Tomb Raider. I hadn't really gotten into the new trilogy as it seemed like it was just a re-skin of Uncharted games, and I had run my course with those, but it seems this one is tomb exploration and puzzle-forward with less prominent combat - mostly just stealth kills. I think I'm down to give that a try.

Uh-oh, here she comes.

I platinum'd Maneater not long after it was released. It was a fun game, albeit a bit repetitive. According to PSN Profiles, it took me about two days and four hours. I've been considering playing through again on the PS5 to experience it in 4K/HDR and get that platinum. I think I may, actually.

I guess trophies won’t be added then. It’s still odd to me that the Xbox version got a full 1000g (essentially a PS platinum trophy). Great game nonetheless.

I platinumed Maneater and it was a fun time albeit a bit janky on PS4.  Definitely wort checking out especially since it is free and the better PS5 version.

Got a notification on my PS5 that they're automatically refunding Maneater since I bought it a few weeks ago since it'll be a PS+ game next week. I don't really want to do that since I'm fine with supporting the devs, but whatever. That'll make Hitman 3 pre-order a bit cheaper.

I knew that Maneater would eventually be a PS+ game, but I didn't think it would be this soon. Still working on Valhalla now, and got Spiderman MM for Xmas to work through too. Hitman 3 on PS5 should also tide me over until more games arrive. I got into Hitman late so it will be nice to play one where everyone doesn't already know every assassination method before I even pick the game up.

Definitely jealous PS5 is getting Maneater. I wonder if a Series X only gold will soon follow of if this is an exclusive get for PS5 for the time being. Very cool Sony refunded you and you did not even ask. They would not have done that for the disc version so chalk up a win for digital. I'll be rocking my Star Wars PS4 Pro probably until a PS5 redesign in a couple of years. Most of the games I want(certain BIG game sequels)are still coming out on PS4 Pro and already look and play fantastic so I am okay with waiting.
