I would give Sony 5 DOLLARS AMERICAN if they would add the ability to mute splash screen music as an option. I'll never understand why it's there.
I've noticed that almost all the splash screens have volumes set to max. I'd love a volume slider where I can set it to about 1/4 of the current volume. The worst is the Battlefield game I have. It's just a rumbling bass. I'm pretty sure every time it comes on my sub is going to blow.

I'd pay $10 to change my PSN name. I was a complete noob when I made it and have regretted it ever since. Granted, it's not as bad as some people's, but I'd still love to drop the numbers and add some capitalization.
Anyone pick up the Gravity Rush DLCs? Are they any good, do they add anything to the main story of the game?

Also, anyone platinum Gravity Rush? I'm too lazy to get gold on all 20 challenges, so I'm not gonna go for it, even though I loved the main game.
It's MUCH easier to get Gold on the challenges once you're pretty much beaten the game & powered up everything. As for the DLC, they don't really add to the main story, but each has their own side story that gives you a few bonus missions, an alt. costume you can use, trophies that fill out to be a picture of Kat in the costume, and the ability to level/rank up further. Overall, they're okay, but I kind of wish there was a bundle that gave you all of the DLC for a discount, plus they don't take very long to clear.

& it's not that difficult of a platinum, aside from maybe the Gold challenges & finding those two "ghosts" or whatever, but there's a guide for that.

Ohhhh, those splash screens, duh. Yeah some of them are obnoxiously loud

Same. My psn is shadowkastone because shadowkast is already registered with Sony from my ps2 days. 50% of people call me stone when it's actually the word one :(
I hate that splash screen so much. It's way too fucking loud. Love the game though.
That song is just really awful as well.

Digger HD has a TERRIBLE splash screen/music.

I saw the trophy images on ps3trophies.org for the DLC trophies. I thought it was really cool that each one was part of an image of Kat in her new costumes. Link for the interested.
why pay to change your name when you can just make another account?
What about trophies accumulated, money spent, time put into the account, etc?

Picked up Pinball Arcade. Wow, people weren't kidding about the flipper lag. Same set up as my 360, and it's night and day between the two versions. I haven't tried it on my Vita yet, though. Man, I really hope they fix this (I know they're working on it), because the PS3 version is gorgeous.

All games bought can be used on the other account afaik. The only thing is trophies, but you can still keep that account anyways. What does time have to do with anything? It's not a rpg game, it's an account ha

Great about Bioshock 2 for those that didnt play it. Not as good as the first one but still a fantastic playthrough.

Id rather replay Bioshock 1 but thats just me
Bioshock 2 free this week. YES
Nice! Since Bioshock Infinite for the PS3 comes with the first Bioshock, I'll be able to play all 3 in unison once it comes out. That puddle game looks interesting, too bad it isn't cross-buy. I might just pick up the Vita version anyway since it's so cheap. I also really want DJMax Technika Tune but that price :(
No! I want Batman. Why can't we at least get bioshock 1? Blarg.
Yeah, I'm not overly happy with Bioshock 2 either. Much rather would have had Bioshock 1 (or Arkham City for that matter so I could sell my retail copy on Amazon, which is selling for 3 times as much as Bioshock 2 is right now.)

Oh well, they can't all be winners, seems like there are a lot of people on the PS blog and here that are happy with Bioshock 2 so that's good.

Never cared for the Bioshock series, so a big "meh" for this week. To each their own & not every week is a winner, but oh well. Gives me time to work on my backlog.
Bioshock 2 free this week. YES
I'm ok with this, now I don't have to re-buy it, I hope it kick starts the multiplayer again, I just need the mp trophies to get the platinum

I have Puddle on XBLA and only played a few levels, but thought it was pretty lame. But I think it will be quite a bit better on the Vita, thanks to the touch and tilt controls, which will suit the game much better than button controls. I think I'll pick up the Vita version as well.
I hope Minervas Den goes on sale with it.
I think they should include it with the game. A Bioshock 2 bundle for free is the way to go.
Anyone know if the online is still alive?
No! I want Batman. Why can't we at least get bioshock 1? Blarg.
Already got Bioshock 1 free on PC a few weeks ago, so I'm fine with Bioshock 2.

I haven't noticed a lick of flipper lag on the vita version, but I may not know exactly what I'm looking for. I'm a long time pinball afficianado and it feels pretty decent to me.

I own Bioshock 2 on disc, but there's virtually no resale value to that game so I think I'll just stick with that when I eventually want to play it.

Kinda bummed but gonna d/l it anyways.... I already own Batman AC and Vanquish so I guess no totally loss...

Bioshock 2 is an awesome game and I will definitely play through it again now that I have the chance. That being said, EU PS+ wins again with Arkham City, Vanquish, and Limbo. I don't understand why they can't give us the same games as the EU Plus.

Because publishers have different branches in each region who work out deals with the different regions of Sony

I own or have played all the games in question and it does seem like EU is getting a much better deal. Now, if BS2 came with minerva's den I'd be much more in favor of our deal. The real issue is that both EU and US are getting bargain bin games as our free games. I'd rather get better discounts on new stuff than another almost 3 year old game.

I'll bet EU thinks the same thing about US Plus.
I'll bet EU thinks the same thing about US Plus.
Didn't we get more games than EU when PS+ came out for the Vita? I remember EU missing 1 or 2 games

I'm pretty bummed about Bioshock 2. After seeing what the EU got, I was hoping we would have gotten at least ONE of those. I've played all of those in question anyway, but would much rather give Vanquish or Batman another playthrough over Bioshock 2. Others seem happy with it, so I guess it's not a total misstep by Sony.

I suppose if I had a Vita, though, I still be so happy about what it got that I wouldn't have noticed what PS3 got anyway. I should get a Vita.

Damn, that sucks. I've already played through Bioshock 2 and its fucking terrible. I'll never understand how they decided that backtracking should be replaced with completely linear levels that you can't ever return to after moving on.

I'd love to get rid of it but of course it tanked after the first month, you'd be lucky to get $4 for it at this point lol.

I got a PS3 copy of Bioshock 2 from Hastings for about $3 a couple of months ago. Still haven't played it. I might just get rid of it for a profit now. :)
I really liked Bioshock 1. The 2nd not so much.
Maybe because Bioshock 2 was not made by irrational games/2k boston.

There's going to be a demo for Ni No Kuni this week! :bouncy:

From their facebook page:

"NI no KUNI: WRATH OF THE WHITE WITCH demo is will be available on the PlayStation®Network on December 4th in North America and December 5th in Europe.

You were expecting this didn't you? Like if you do!

You will be able to play through two different levels of the game where you can test your mettle against a couple of the game’s most infamous bosses: Guardian of the Woods and Moltaan.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be available for purchase at the PlayStation®Store and at videogame retailers in North America on January 22nd 2013 and in Europe on January 25th 2013.

Check http://www.ninokunigame.com/ for further information and preorder."
Tired of the whining. Yes I shouldn't read it then. Why I do? I don't know. Sony has to convince a publisher/dev to forgo some sales or take a smaller cut of a games sale when providing it on plus. If a game is selling well in a certain territory that makes no sense to do. If they want to push awareness or sell DLC then it is. Lets make this thread like prison. What's for lunch is what you get, you're in and that's how it is regardless if you like it or not.
im out then, ps plus expires today, not renewing.

Still got my $45 pre-order from Newegg locked in. I hope this demo is as good as the advanced buzz from Japan seems to be indicating.

I have the Wizards edition preordered and its one of my most anticipated games, but what good buzz are you talking about? This game tanked in japan (though the DS version did well). The only great review was from Famitsu, and they are about as trustworthy as your creepy uncle.

WOAH. Thanks for posting this! I don't use Facebook so I had no idea but it's amazing it's getting a digital release. Since I was late for the Wizard's Edition and there's no GameStop here so I can't get the steelbook, I was hoping really bad for a digital release. Best news.
Maybe because Bioshock 2 was not made by irrational games/2k boston.
Um, okay, but I dont care about that. I was just throwing my opinion out there. 2 wasnt horrible, I just didnt like it as much. Maybe it wasnt as well put together or maybe I just grew tired of the formula, who knows for sure?

What I do know is that I like plus as a service, so I am definitely not whining here. I have such a backlog of free games in addition to the other games I have that I am kind of glad we arent getting another free game I havent played yet.

Really confused why everyone here is so high on Vanquish. It's an average shooter with a sliding mechanic. Not to mention it's really cheap and has been for awhile.

Sorry, but if you think its a shooter you were playing it incorrectly. I'm guessing your score was pretty terrible if you stood around and shot everybody.

Average would imply that there are other games like it...
