i saw your backloggery and wanted in on it. so far just got my psn list updated.
ill try to toss all my ps3 games on next. i dont even know if its worth it to post my gamecube/ps2 games, lol.
I know that, that's why I specifically said "Will probably be mostly full games, but still interested to see what we get tomorrow." I don't listen to the blogcast, so I only go by what you and others post. I didn't notice anyone mention that the blogcast guys said there would be extra PS+ discounts on the Black Friday sales, so that's why I posted it.
Yes we usually get extra discounts on sales, but not 100% of the time, so that's why I thought it was still worth mentioning.
When do they have a major sale on the PS Store without PS+ bonus discounts? Especially when they did it for this same sale last year.
So instead of Un-Kart-ed, we get Un-Card-ed. Well, I've seen stranger spin-offs happen.
Sounds okay to me. I like strategy games.
Pandora is more about making a personalized radio station. Sony Unlimited Music is more comparable with Spotify, which is the service I currently pay for. Both options let you make playlists of whatever music they have in their library. They allow you to listen to as much as you want with no limits, no skips (paid service). Spotify even has it's own "Pandora" built into their app. Wouldn't Netflix be another good comparison?
My understanding is that this is for the basic service which appears to be just like pandora. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt they'd discount the premium version to $1 a month.

It’s Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 from the Genesis days, so they’re’ the same games that were free a ways back ( I think about 1.5 years ago
Nice, free Sonic 1 and 2 in HD. Guess I can delete the Genesis versions that were free for PS+ a few months ago.
Where did you get that idea?

Hey guys, my friend wants to gameshare with me but I need to deactivate 2 ps3's first. First, what does deactivating to to your PS3. 2nd, how can you tell which PS3 is which? Thanks for the help.

I'd really like to know the answer to this. Searched their blog post but didn't see anyone ask the question. It's a good deal either way, but I probably wouldn't bother with basic. Something comparable to spotify, however, would be excellent. This entire time I thought music unlimited was only Sony artists, but it's...not. :bouncy:

Btw, there's a 14-day trial that automatically starts simply by signing into the music unlimited site with your SEN info. It surprisingly didn't require credit card info and was hassle-free. Something to consider. I know I'll be giving it a spin for a week on my phone and ps3 before signing up.
Are the PS Vita AR games not free anymore? (Games like PulzAR, Tabletop Tanks, etc.) Were they ever free?

PulzAR and Tabletop Tanks were never free. The cliff diving, fireworks and soccer were free though, are they not anymore?

Those two were never free, but the three launch games should still be free for everybody. I'd guess that the page was made for those three and they eventually added the others because they're related.

I'll probably pick up Nights as I never owned a Saturn and have heard good things about that game. Sorcery is currently $9.99 @Newegg with free shipping. It's also been on sale @Gamefly for the same price for a used copy.

That 1 year of music streaming actually is tempting. I wonder how the quality is as compared to Youtube?

They are, sorry. I guess I should have checked all 6 before I posted. Thanks, I did download the 3 free ones. Can anyone recommend any of the 3 other ones? Are they any fun at all?

Frisky, a quick one please! When I "get" one of the free games from PS+ (for the Vita for example...), is the game downloaded onto the memory card in my Vita for playing? And do I have to be connected via wifi for the game to work? thanks

Yes. No.

If I renew (technically sign up again as my sub lapsed) on my Vita, will it count as being applicable to both accounts (my PS3 and Vita)? In other words, will I be among those who won't have to pay extra for Plus for Vita?

There's no separate subscription for just one or the other, so any sub is for both platforms.
Updated, but I don't see a section for PS+. Is that coming in the regular store update tomorrow?
Yeah, it'll appear with the normal weekly update.

Since it's not immediately apparent, you upload saves to the cloud with the Content Manager app.

thanks, much appreciated! And I guess I have to know how much room I have on my mem card as well as the file size before downloading... guess I have to get a bigger card than the one (4 gb) that came with my bundle. One other question, please, do the downloaded "free for PS+" games remain as long as you have PS+, or do they have a time-limited run on the system?
Yoink! Thanks. Can't find where to set save uploads, but I'm a-lookin'.
Settings -> Playstation Network -> Automatic Update Settings

That'll do the automatic uploading of saved games, and Frisky says manual uploads are done through the content manager.

I bought the PS3 version on release day and haven't gotten around to playing it yet and now its half off.... oh well, at least I get the Vita version for free

If this is how they are trying to boost hardware sales for vita (systems and memory cards) count me in :)

Has anyone found a cheaper deal on the 32GB card than Amazon? ($81+free ship) Or for that matter, any BF deals involving memory cards? I've been lurking all the deals sites and nada.

I think Newegg has the cheapest price right now $79.96. Still, these memory cards are absurdly expensive. Actually I just saw Tigerdirect has it for 76.99 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...ffiliateID=lw9MynSeamY-BsE05V86NlCQvf6ltRAMBQ
FW 2.00 is live now for Vita.
Holy hell! I wonder why so early.

I've been waiting forever for this, I need to format my system and had to backup my saves. Sony is a FOOL for not allowing us to back up our saves, and a DOUCHE to force people to pay for the 'privilege'.

An annual subscription is valued at over $119, so at practically 90% off Plus members will get an amazing deal of a 1 year subscription for $12.

So it's going to be 59.99 for regular members and 12.00 for PS+ members. That is a really great deal, I might have to cancel Spotify and stream with Sony Unlimited instead.

Traded in my hard copies of Uncharted GA and Gravity Rush, installed my 32GB memory card, and FW 2.00 and I am good to go tomorrow after work. Only problem is I'm also picking up Adventure Time and Persona 4 from Gamestop. Argh too many games!

Tempted by the Music Unlimited, but the Android App is currently unsuppored by my Nexus 7. Does anyone know how well Sony does in terms of updating their Android app for this? I'm assuming it's more of an incompatibility with Android 4.2 than my Nexus 7.
Since it's not immediately apparent, you upload saves to the cloud with the Content Manager app.
Merci!

Not only have you always been able to back up your saves, but it's been free. Now, if you're talking about being able to save like Plus does, that's different.

While this is technically true, you've also had to back up the entire game along with the save thus making what should be a quick task into a pain in the ass. Now with 2.00 you can backup only the save file to the cloud, if only they let you do the same thing to a PC or PS3...

Yeah, I know. My point was only that it was possible.

My internet has gone out 2 nights in a row. Was hoping to buy and spend some time with Who Wants to be a Millionaire tonight, and use it to help me decide on some of the other Ludia games. fucking Comcast put an end to that plan.

So if I sign up for the music unlimited thing, I'll have access to it on any other device I use like my android phone and computer, correct?

Also, how's the service itself and selection of channels/songs.

Anyone try out the service to know if it'd be worth it at that price as an alternative to Pandora/Slacker radio?
Yeah, I know. My point was only that it was possible.
Backing up an entire game does not equal backing up a save. Somehow some data was corrupted on my vita and it isn't the game saves. I want to wipe the entire system and memory card but save my saves. Backing up all data is pointless if I'm trying to wipe everything but saves as the defeats the entire purpose of a fresh start.

Whoa, my PS+ was set to expire and auto renew on the 21st. I never actually checked it before, good thing I randomly decided to look, or I would have been out 17.99.

Tomorrow I'll probably download Uncharted for Vita and maybe add Dungeon Defenders to my DL list (and buy VF5), and then let my sub expire until something else interesting pops up. I won't be playing any of these games I downloaded anytime soon anyway...

My hero. Tested it out this morning with my AC III : Liberation save and it works dandy.
1. Uploaded the save to the cloud
2. Deleted the local content for ACIII:L.
3. Re-inserted game cart (to reinstall) and opened the game (which was version 1.00), no Continue option.
4. Downloaded the save from the cloud (which was saved in version 1.01), still no Continue option (interesting).
5. Updated ACIII:L to version 1.01, opened it back up and I could Continue (although I'm still stuck in the game breaking loop where I can't continue, at least my save is stored online in the event that they patch it someday).

Very cool, definitely a desparately needed feature. Looking forward to the Vita download fest and BF sale info today!

Hmm, I think $80.00 is going to be the new ceiling on these cards. Even smaller stores around town have started lowering their prices.
I've set my price point at $65.00 for now, and not a dime more.

I dont think you can play the freebie games once your sub ends. Not even sure if u will have access to play it once you let it lapse and start a sub again. Best to ask this forum for definitive answers.
