I'll be filling this thread out a bit more as we go and I'll answer questions whenever I can. Feel free to provide feedback for ways to improve this thread. Thanks.

That's mighty weird. My subscription wasn't automatically carried over. I wound up at the end of the previous thread and the last post in the thread was a link to this new one. I assumed that you had something to do with it :) Your work is much appreciated Frisky! I can't imagine the Mods deleting stuff.
Why would I not be serious? I just got home and clicked on what I thought was the normal thread, but it had next to no posts. I thought something had happened that caused the mods to delete almost everything, which would've pissed me off to no end, but looking at my subscription list, it looks like Cheapy managed to create a new thread with the OP that I was somehow already subscribed to. That's confusing to come home to when I go to see what posts have been made since I last saw it and see the OP where it shouldn't be.
Hahaha! Well, it seems he used your posts from "03-13-2012" so that auto-subscribed ya, since you "posted" in a thread. Just looked and old thread with all it's 10,464 posts is still there/separate.
That's a first-world problem, if I've ever heard one.
Thanks for pointing that out.

And just to reiterate, it won't matter whether you have a Vita or not to grab the Vita titles with the PS3's PS Store.

It'll be a good sale to test out my new 1TB HDD that I'm installing tomorrow, which I plan on doing a quick restore after deleting all of my games and installs first.

Chronovolt, a launch title for PS+ Vita in EU, is coming to the states next month.

The developer is apparently also working with Sony to make it free in North America too. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see it the very near future as one of the new games in the Vita's IGC.

fuck me. Gotta echo gettinmoney's sentiments, rarely are their full game sales comparable to what I can actually buy the retail version for.

Also, got a chance to watch all those videos Frisky posted in the last thread about the game show video games. Definitely lost interest in Press Your Luck and Hollywood Squares. But Press Your Luck comes in the 3-pack so I'll probably end up getting it anyway. The questions on Hollywood Squares are extremely easy and lame.

"In Greek Mythology, what is the name of the place where the Gods are thought to live?"

Answer: Delaware
Apparently the Playstation blogcast says that the bullet-hell game Sine Mora is coming to Vita and PS3 next week - November 20th. Looks excellent.
Glad to finally hear a release date on the PSN version. Wanted to get it on XBLA when it was discounted, but hearing the PSN version would have an additional character with new weapons & such made me wait.

Also, the Vita version has touch screen controls. There's a new trailer out showcasing these controls.

It doesn't matter what I can pay for retail versions if the digital version reaches a certain threshold for me.

I have the same problem (?). If something I'm even a little interested in dips under $8-$10 I suddenly lose my steely grip on my digital pursestrings.

The Halloween Sale was very good all things considered (grabbed both Dead Space 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record) both "full" games, so I'm hoping this Stock Up For Winter Sale will be good as well.

My PS3's in the shop. Anyone know if and how much the Ratchet and Clank Collection (the HD PS2 games) is on PSN?

Amazon is having them as a Lightning deal for $15 later this week. I'm torn on getting a good price on the disc version vs. future proofing it and getting it digitally since I'm guessing the eventual PS4 won't let me play my disc PS3 games.

Does anybody know how much Persona and Persona 2 for PSP cost normally. I'm gonna try to get a Vita/AC III bundle for $200 during Black Friday deals and those are 2 PSP games I definitely want that should work with Vita. Assuming that I'm able to cop that Vita bundle, I'd like to get these 2 games on sale if it's a pretty good sale. The only problem is that I'm a little worried about being able to find the bundle since I've only seen it available at GS for the BF deal price and the stores around here almost never have system bundles in stock. I guess hopefully it will apply to online as well; I just don't want to drop $25 and then not be able to play the games.

$20 and $30 respectively.

Go for it man, you might even be able to find a vita for 150 on here, and then get lucky on the warehouse deals for the 32gb.

If anyone wants to do co-op on Dungeon Defenders, add me. I've had the game for a while, so I'm toward the end of the normal difficulty mode. Stopped playing when I started getting bored of it, but now's as good a time as ever to get back into it, I suppose.

PS+ offers free, exclusive DLC for Dungeon Defenders too, so be sure to grab that as well.

I don't know if people forgot about this, but if you own Wipeout HD and Fury, from the Welcome Back program or otherwise, you will also get those packs for free for 2048. That essentially gives you three full campaigns in 2048 to play through with more tracks to play on in multiplayer.

Thanks guys. Yeah, for 50% off I will probably go ahead and get them and just assume that I'll get a Vita at some point since there are quite a few Vita compatible PSP games that I want to play, at least several Vita games I want to play (AC III included obviously ) and I could play my PS1 Classics on it. :)

Thanks Frisky, I did completely forget about this. I have HD and Fury so this will work well for me, I think.

easily have that beat by a few hundred. add 1,000 rockband songs to that too. I really need to start one of those accounts.

Scored a $50 card for $35 at best buy, time to lurk this thread even more than I normally do. Thanks Frisky for everything you do!:applause:

In just PS3 games? I haven't added my other systems although it won't raise it by too much, maybe another 100 or so total.

Got my Vita last night, really enjoying it so far. Enjoying the screen size, it's even bigger than I thought. Already have about 8 games from cross-buy and free games, plus AC3 that came with it. :)

Can someone explain the Persona situation? I have this on PSP but would like to carry it on my VITA (Amazon deal this coming friday). How long will they be on sale for?

When do these expire?

Shin Megami Tensei Persona - $9.99
Shin Megami Tensei Persona 2: Innocent Sin - $14.99
Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 Portable - $9.99

Not sure when they expire but you can buy them now on you PS3 and download them later on your Vita.

I've got an excel spreadsheet with my collection on it that's about three times that size. My PS3-specific collection is about that size, though it doesn't include Minis and hasn't been updated for a couple of weeks.

You guys are making my backlog look like childs play. I have about 200 unbeaten games across all systems (PS3/360/PSN/XBLA/Wii) and I thought I was bad.

Now that I got my Vita, my plan is to not buy another console until I've cleared at least 75% of my backlog.

I'm still going to go a little nuts with the Vita system, but I don't plan on buying the next gen systems although maybe I'll get the PS4 and buy a very few amount of games. My PS3 games will last me until I retire, especially since I generally go for 100% trophies.

I just bought a 3DS, but I'm not going to buy many games for it. I also might get the Halo 4 Xbox, but I'll be mainly using it to play XBLA games.

Having never owned a 360, backlogging current-gen games will keep me busy for a very long time. The 3DS and Vita will probably become my primary systems (they essentially already are) once this console gen is officially over, as I have little interest in investing in a new system when I barely have time to use my PS3.

Yeah, I feel the same way. If I get a PS4, it'd only be to continue the franchises I love and maybe buy new IPs if they're ridiculously good.

If the PS4 isn't PS3 backwards compatible, I won't be getting it til way after release.
Haha, why you applaudin that?
XBLA is easily my favorite part about owning a 360, there's tons of really good games (as there are on PSN as well).

Usually, I enjoy downloadable games way more than retail because there's so much more room for creativity. None of my friends IRL are like that though, so it's nice to know there are others out there like me. :)

I'd make a Backloggery but it would take me longer to do so than it would to start up and beat something like Mark of the Ninja :bomb: my backlog is honestly in the four figure range

also I'm lazy :cold:

Usually, I enjoy downloadable games way more than retail because there's so much more room for creativity. None of my friends IRL are like that though, so it's nice to know there are others out there like me. :)
Wii-U might be in your future, then. Destructoid had an article about how developers will be able to set their own prices for games on the eShop versus having to charge premiums, and will be able to patch releases for free - two of the biggest complaints small developers have had about developing on PSN/XBL versus Steam. They'll also be able to put a game on sale when they choose, and we all know Nintendo is terrible about having sales on digital stuff.

I'm pretty sure developers are free to charge what they want for PSN games, which is why we get games at weird prices outside of $9.99, $14.99, etc. that most are at.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed offers convertible vehicles, brand new characters, and killer All-Stars moves! Following on from the huge success of Sonic & SEGA All-Star’s Racing, the characters now have their own unique transforming vehicles designed to take advantage of the varying terrain. A new online dungeon rescue feature allows users to call on other players for assistance when they are about to die in the TV world. Persona 4 Golden is also overflowing with new content: new Personas to collect; new story events along with an all-new character; stunning new anime cutscenes, which include a new opening animation with a new song from master composer Shoji Meguro; a host of fan-suggested tweaks and changes, and much more! Jet Set Radio (PS Vita) – The government is attempting to silence the kids of Tokyo, but with their Overdrive Magnetic-Motor Skating Shoes, the cops will have to catch ‘em first. The Jet Set Radio program keeps the kids unified and inspired to fight for their rights of expression, which includes graffiti art. Grab your spray cans and design your own piece on one of the immense walls in the 3D, interactive city. You might be forced to protect your territory from adversaries that want to take over your neighborhood. Join up with like-minded hip individuals that will help you keep your area the way you want it. The cops will be after you too, so you’ll have to be quick. The 10 cartoon-style characters are pumped up with polygons so they come alive in 3D. Uniqueness is key to these kids and each character stands apart with exclusive abilities and style. They like to show off too, and with 18 missions, there’s plenty of time to impress. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s definitely funky.

I think Sine Mora wins the week for me. I wouldn't complain if there was a day one discount, but I'm sure I'll buy it anyways. Definitely going to take the DMC demo for a spin too.

Hey guys so I was dumb enough and forgot that the coupon on @gamer expired yesterday. Any other good deals out there to get PSN+? I've been holding back on a Vita, but this coming deal seems like an excuse to jump on the Vita wagon. So I was wondering if there are other deals on the PSN+ subscription that anyone knows of

Just wrapped up Quantum Conundrum, really good game all around. Platforming can get a tiny bit frustrating at times, but it doesn't hold the game back much. I'm definitely interested in the DLC levels, I think I'll wait for a little while though to see if they pop up as PS+ discounts in the future.

EDIT: One other downside to the game is the terrible song that plays when you have it highlighted in the XMB.
