Hmm, Jak & Daxter collection may be worth looking into, depending on what price it is actually dropped to.
The armchair analysts in here should put down the pipe and monacle for a moment. Vita memory cards are not just their margin of profit for a console sold at a loss, they are to protect the system from piracy.

The vast majority of PSP owners in Europe and a pretty sizable chunk in NA did not pay for a single game on PSP. I know its fun to cry about stuff like this but at least put 10 seconds of thought into it.
:applause:

hell, how easy was it to simply put a pro duo in the comp then

1. click iso, copy
2. paste into pro duo.
3.profit

Question: If I connect my old black Vita (with an 8GB memory card inside containing all my save data) to both my PC and PS3 console and do the following:

1) Copy all Applications.
2) Create Backup Files.

Am I ready to remove the 8GB card from the black Vita, reformat the black Vita, start up the white Vita I got from the AC:L bundle, insert the 8GB card into the white Vita, and proceed to copy the black Vita's data onto the white one using the PC and/or PS3?

Oddly enough, when I copied the Applications to my PC, the Vita displayed the information for every game's except Virtue's Last Reward--does that mean I didn't copy its relevant data?
wonder how much the Jak Collection would be. now i start wondering if it was worth collecting all those HD collection in physical form.

by the way, would the vita instant game collections be rotated anytime soon? won't be able to touch my vita till next week probably... :/
The retail version got a price drop to $19.99, didn't it? I assume the digital version will be getting that price drop as well. As for each game, my guess would be $9.99, just because I don't see them trying to price games at $6.66 on the store. Maybe $6.99 or $7.99, but my guess is $9.99.

You can just take your 8gb card out of the black one and put it in to the white one (just go through initial setup and firmware update on the white one before inserting the memory card). Doing a backup doesn't hurt, but I've swapped units 3 times and haven't had to restore from backup yet. After you're setup on the white vita just go the black one, deactivate it in the PSN settings, and choose Format -> Reset Vita or whatever the option is.

I'm gonna echo Frisky and encourage people to post these questions in the Vita thread. PSN thread is for discussing what's in the PSN store.
I found it to be a disappointing and shallow racing game due to it leaning more heavily on the arcade aspect of its roots, though I have no prior experience with the series to know how it compares in that way. The native Move support is terrible.
Thanks, Frisky. Think I'll pass.
With the 12/4 update
Awesome. I wonder how much physical copies will be now - glad I sold all of mine a few years ago.

Anyone have any bold predictions as to the second month of PS+ Vita titles? Do you guys think we'll get Mortal Kombat, since they're getting it in Europe?

It sounds like you're offering an explanation for why the Vita uses proprietary memory cards, but NOT an explanation as to why they're so exorbitantly priced, which is the problem most of us are having with them.

Zanz x Zanaz, awesome.

Nice to see more imports incoming, with a few being removed lately I was thinking we wouldn't see them come in anymore.

they are both to stop piracy and make stupidly high profit margins.

MGS HD Collection would be nice. that's the next game I wanna buy for Vita...well, the only game I have left to buy before I have everything I want that's currently out for the syste,.

Yea, I really couldn't care less if it's proprietary or not, just don't bend me over a barrel and give it to me hard when I'm forced to buy one.

It was a launch title for the Vita's IGC in EU and the developers are working with Sony to get it free in NA as well.

I mind the card prices so much since I got the AssCreed bundle $70 off w/the extras Amazon was offering, but still. Now it's still hard to justify spending $90 on one. Maybe if any of the games I want are offered free this week(or on sale, wouldn't mind a discount on LKS) it might push me over.

The simpler fix for memory cards is to just add all the PS+ freebies to your download list, but dont actually download them. Play the games you have, and when your done, delete them and download a new one off your list.

Kind of annoying, and can be a bit of a hassle...but better than having to spend for more memory cards. I have an 8gb myself and it is completely full - I dont play my vita all too much, cause i play PS3 when I am, but for now, ill just add to the download list and pull off it when I need a new game.

I think Little Deviants will pop up eventually, and Escape Plan. Modnation Racers too, but more than likely I think we'll just be getting smaller, PSN games for the next little while.

I don't think we'll get Mortal Kombat. Not that comparing the two region's offerings matters much, but I think we got WipeOut 2048 and they got Mortal Kombat.

Cool, thanks for that link. I definitely would be happy with that game for free, I hope the devs and PS+ can work it out. I love getting free games day 1!
I've played a bit of Cash Guns Chaos and it's alright for the price. It's clearly aping Smash TV by putting the action in the guise of a TV show where you shoot at enemies coming at you, collecting the money and prizes that they drop, and moving from room to room. The controls are alright, as the shooting controls seem to be closer to eight-way shooting since you can also just use the face buttons if you like. I don't like the hit detection for enemies coming at you, so I never got comfortable with how close I could get to enemies without taking a hit. There seems to be a decent amount of content in there with three episodes of five areas each, which have at least a few stages in them.

As a reminder, this is a launch-era PSN game, so it was made in the time when PSN/XBLA games were designed to be cheaply-made time wasters like classic arcade games. It doesn't look very good, the options and leaderboards are limited, and there are no trophies. For $0.75, it was worth it for me to be able to do a video for you guys and finally play this old-ass game for myself. Though I could easily name 6-12 better dual-stick shooters on PSN that would be a better way to spend your time, this is the kind of game you'd just throw into your cart as fodder with other stuff you were looking forward to playing, if that makes any sense to you guys.

The videos uploading to Youtube now, so it should be done by the morning. You can go here to check for it.

Strangers Wrath HD coming to Vita on December 18. No cross-play, no cross-buy.
Thanks for sharing. It doesn't surprise me that neither of those are supported either. I bet the size of the game is huge though. It's probably going to deter me from getting it day-one just cause I actually have a decent backlog for my Vita now and I need to clear up space first.

Anyone been craving a good anime/fishing sim lately? Let's Fish! Hooked On is coming to Vita through the PSN. It has one of the worst trailers I've ever seen and I was laughing throughout most it. I was especially amused when I saw that the first characters special skill was "Hooking" lol.

As ridiculous as it might be, you know that game will somehow end up being fun as fuck.

I'm not surprised either, though it would have been cool. But they've obviously put a lot of their resources in creating the Vita version long after the PS3 version was out, so they understandably can't afford giving it away for free to a lot of people who already own the original. Size is about 1.4 GB, so not huge, but pretty big for a digital-only title, considering I think Gravity Rush is about that size as well.

I saw that post about the Fishing game on the PS Blog. I wasn't a huge fan of Sega Bass Fishing, but a decently made fishing sim might be enjoyable for the right price.

Unrelated, but I just put in about 2 hours on Gravity Rush. Really enjoyed it so far, controls extremely well. I'm becoming more and more confident that my Vita was a good purchase. I don't understand the comments that it has no games. Sure, it has a lot of ports, but I count a good dozen exclusives I want to play. Plus, ports are awesome when you get nice HD graphics on the go and separate trophy lists. (not to mention you get some of them for free if you already own the original version).

TL;DR - I like my Vita.

not for vita tho its delayed till next year

So with Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics on my Vita, is Growlanser just too much of the same? I haven't researched a ton on it, but I see the good reviews and replay value comments and I'm tempted...

That sucks. All well, I'll just wait until January. Glad I got PS+ or I wouldn't have nothing to play on my Vita besides AC3 and PS All-Stars.

very cool, this game looks great, will pick it up for me and the boys for only 19.99 is a steal and vita game to boot (January-code) still is awesome. Wish more companies did this.
So with Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics on my Vita, is Growlanser just too much of the same? I haven't researched a ton on it, but I see the good reviews and replay value comments and I'm tempted...
Given that you would have 3 slow playing strategy RPG's, I would say it depends on how much time you have to dedicate. It's a very solid game but so are the two you already have.

Yeah, but Growlanser has busty anime girls and is generally more light-hearted than the other two. I say buy it - it's not like there are many worthwhile JRPGs on the horizon, so even if it takes you a year or three to get to it, these games will still hold up well since they were all originally PS1 games.

I really want
Assassins creed liberation
Need for speed most wanted vita
Rangarok odyssey
Persona 4 golden
Madden 13
Call of duty black ops declassified
I got like $77.xx playstation network credit and no new vita games to play right now. I was thinking about just downloading one of these games while I wait for a good sale. Which one should I download? I gues I want the one with the most replay value...

If you're going to get one full price, get Persona.

One of the best RPGs made and a ton of replayability, if you want to get all the trophies, max out the social links, fill up the persona compendium, etc etc. Tons to do.

It would be my first persona game though would I'd be ok to just play this one? If it was god of war I prolly would have bought it already. Lol that does look like the one tho that will be the last one to drop in price. I don't know y.

All of the Persona games can be played independently. You can start with any of them.
