What is everyone's favorite megaman game?
As long as it's not X6 or X7, I pretty much enjoy all of the classic & X series. A shame Legends 2 or Misadventures of Tron Bonne can't be re-released due to licensing issues....I liked Legends/64 that I want to play the sequel & spin-off.
What is everyone's favorite megaman game?
Mega Man 2 is the game that opened my eyes to the whole series. I loved finding which robots to defeat in the correct order. Then getting through Dr. Wiley's castle was a blast. I loved Capcom games on the NES after playing the MM series. Capcom was a great company during the NES era of gaming.

For some reason I love Mega Man X3. I played a lot of Mega Man classic games to the X series as a kid. The opening for me in X3 is pretty awesome even more when you got to play as Zero. I also love the music in X3!

2 is my favorite, though I probably played X the most.

I have the MM Collection, MMX Collection, and MM Zero Collection all in my backlog. I'm pretty sure I've played most the 8-bit games (maybe not beyond 5, not sure. Like someone said, sometimes it can be hard to distinguish which game is which) but I've only played X2 once, and none of the MM Zero games.

i dont think jetpack joyride dlc can be shared. i couldnt find anything confirming i bought it in the dlc list. it only registers when you play the game or open the shop menu also i think. so i dont know bout gamesharing that...

I love Mega Man X. I also like the 1-3, but really lost track after that. Then I played 9 and 10 on 360 and enjoyed those quite a bit.

Also, just a heads up...only a couple more hours until the weekly bump of 5 pages on this thread with "When does the store update?" and "OMG the new store is the worst!" Yaaaaaaay
So overall, I'd recommend it for $7.34, but it wasn't quite as great as I though it would be. Has anyone spent time with community levels, are there some pretty good ones?
there are community levels that are absolutely amazing and bring things to the game people designing the campaign never thought of doing.
So what's the over/under for the Walking Dead to have a sale/price drop anytime soon? It's been on sale for every other imaginable platform except PSN. Would love to pick it up at a reduced price.
Most of their games eventually have a bundle sale once all of the episodes have been out for awhile. That's how it was with BTTF, Sam and Max, etc.
THe US gets PSN games that are older than dirt. Our game of the month for January was NBA Jam and the servers are being shut down on January 11th. GREAT VALUE!
Different game. Sorry to burst your rant. The servers are not going down for the game we just got free. Why spread such nonsense without researching it first?
This one. http://www.klov.net/game_detail.php?game_id=8659

I don't even know if there's a console version. I suck so much at Mega Man, I've never played it for more than five minutes...except for this arcade version that I rule at.
It's on the Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

For anyone who wants an easier Mega Man(still has it's hard areas but most of the game is very doable), 10 has an easy mode. Mega Man X5 is also easier than most.
I have 1 month membership and just need to decide when to cash it in. Main thing is I have yet to play the games we have on disc, so I'm not really in a hurry to get new games. But I don't want to miss out on good ones that might expire. I guess as soon as I see that some good stuff is going to go poof, then I'll start my subscription.
If you're just looking to go Plus for the single month, you may want to wait for a Plus discount to a game you were looking to buy and cash in then. One month doesn't leave a lot of time to go through the free game backlog. (And at least for me personally, I hate the feeling that I'm trying to beat a game by a deadline. Made me despise Halo 4 when trying to beat it by New Year's Eve.)

Does anyone have any insight on why Xbox Live seems to have more DLC sales than PSN? For example, this week Ghost Recon, Borderlands, Bioshock, Mafia 2 and maybe some other games all have DLC on sale and this is a fairly common occurence. It seems like DLC only rarely goes on sale on PSN. Is this a Sony decision? I don't see why a publisher wouldn't want to have DLC go on sale on PSN but would on Xbox unless Sony just doesn't allow it or makes it not worthwhile for the publisher for whatever reason.
What is everyone's favorite megaman game?
Mega Man X1, 2, 4, and if you count it, Mega Man X Command Mission. A great RPG that I wish more people played.

Then again, PSN has sold both Mafia and Borderlands Full Games with all the DLC included (for PS Plus Members) for less than the sale price of just the DLC is going for now, so there's that to consider.

The bonuses that come with EDF 2017 Portable until 2/4:
We also have a little bonus for you. If you purchase Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable through February 4th, you can get free downloadable content of the following four weapons.

Electro Paralyzer

A top-secret superweapon developed by the EDF, whose flare shells halt the target’s actions. The technology behind it is shrouded in mystery. Some say it was developed by a military genius, or its secrets gleaned from a downed Ravager scout. Extend its effects by hitting the target repeatedly.

Heat Blaster

A short-range laser gun, whose mighty firepower compensates for its limited range. It requires heavy equipment to recharge, making it impossible to reload on the battlefield. Pull the trigger to release all of its energy, or it can keep firing until you switch weapons.

Limit Booster

A data transmitter that sends a special program to vehicles in the vicinity (helicopters, bikes, Vegaltas), shutting down their safety overrides and unlocking their maximum capabilities. Multiple uses won’t increase the upgrade ratio, but will make the effects last longer.

Reverse Drone

An unmanned drone with a nanomachine capsule payload. It flies straight ahead to the nearest ally, and once it connects, it disperses the nanomachines to heal the target. Adjust the direction of fire to select your target.

I'm sorry, excuse me, but is this thread about the latest weekly PSN deals and new releases? Also,
posting_in_a_troll_thread.jpg

Checkin' the Vita's store & looks like it's been updated.

PS3 store is updated, though the PS+ section isn't updated to show the newest arrivals. Search for Mega Man & you'll find the combo pack is now free for PS+. MM9 is 63MB while 10 is 142.6MB.

Finally get Megaman 10, to go with 9 that I purchased at its launch on PSN. I just wish I could take them on my vita so I can actually find time to play them. Sadly, EDF 2017 portable is just going to have to wait for a price cut if it is going only digital for me, was excited for it but after the price reveal...yeah going to wait.

Looking for a timeshare of The Walking Dead for a week or two. Offering a phantom of my EU account (which has a little over 3 weeks left of PS+, so you get to play a whole bunch of great games for 3 weeks, seems like a fair trade. it also has a bunch of minis that you can keep).

Holy crap, looking through the new deals & Earthworm Jim HD is only 99 cents! I got it when it was 1/2 off on XBLA, & I gotta say, that's a GREAT deal for the game for only a dollar.
DMC is on the psn
That might just be the pre-order thing. It's only 3.2MB. You get a free theme & costume pack if you pre-order on PSN.

Also, last week to grab Double Dragon Neon, as it's under the "Expiring Soon" tab.

Nice deal, thanks for pointing that out. In for one for sure. :)

Lots of $1 games, I'm pretty sure I have almost all of them though.

Blokus – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $4.99)
Brain Challenge – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $4.99)
Brain Challenge – PSP Game (now: $0.99 original price: $4.99)
Dungeon Hunter: Alliance – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $12.99)
Earthworm Jim HD – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $9.99)
Modern Combat: Domination – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $7.99)
Tank Battles – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $4.99)
TV Show King – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $4.99)
UNO – PS3 Game (now: $0.99 original price: $4.99)

There's some Minis too that I didn't include. I guess I'll pick up Modern Combat. I definitely overpaid for Dungeon Hunter.

Are those 99 cent games PS+ deals or regular deals? If they're regular deals I'll definitely get Earthworm Jim (if not, I'll probably pass). I kind of wish ToeJam and Earl had had deals, $5 each is too much for me.

Earthworm Jim HD for a buck? Hell yes. The demo kicked my butt, but I'll try again for $1 sure.

How is Dungeon Hunter: Alliance to those that have it? Fun?

Regular deals. When someone mentioned Earthworm Jim was $1 earlier, my mind somehow got EJ and ToeJam & Earl confused for a second, so I was happy, then sad.

It's definitely worth a buck, but you have to decide if it's worth your time to play. It's a generic dungeon crawler that, while never bad, never good either. Took me well over 10 hours to beat.

I liked it. It's GREAT couch co-op. The trophies are easy too, though slightly long. I'm not sure it's fun enough to warrant a second (4th/5th/6th etc) play on the Vita (with fleshed out trophies and a platinum) though...
Totally buying Valkyria Chronicles 2. Been waiting for a sale, but a price drop is just as nice!
...bundle was up for.. well.. this entire time
Valkyria chronicles 2 (Game) + all the DLC for 22.99

still the bundle is better deal.

Damn for 99 cents I'm picking up all this games. Just to make sure do this will be on here until the next update right?

Yeah, they'll be up until at least next Tuesday morning.

The only one I'd have any qualms about recommending is Brain Challenge. It's really lame. Also, I believe it would take 100+ hours to 100% the trophies.
i already own both megamans but i still love ps+. and an excuse to post this link.
[megamanvideo]
There an extended version of that song/video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co6OHe4KaEc

I also have both games but I don't mind the repeat all that much given what I was able to take advantage of in the last few months.

Eh... I feel kind of dumb still going on about the PS+ thing from last night, but oh well. Kind of a wall-o-text, so I put my replies in spoiler tags to it's not such a page hog.
Why are you ignoring the "initial batch" of games? Games like Infamous2, LBP2, R&C:A41, Saints Row 2, Just Cause 2, and Warhammer 40k are also pretty nice. If you joined in June like I did, you should have about 10-15 retail games and another 10-15 PSN games. Even at the low end of 20 games, $50 per year is not bad. And this is not even including Vita games. This is also not including the fact that June subsribers have 6 months left on that one year subscription. At this rate, there could easily be 30 or 40 games at the end of that first year. Less than $2 per game seems like a good deal to me - even if I don't want some of them.

That being said, if the service quality wanes over time, the value proposition will get less and less, but it is much too early to be concerned by that.
I wasn't ignoring them. I just left them out since what's been rotated in over the past seven months or so is more indicative of what to expect from here on out than that first batch. When the IGC launched, it was a 50/50 split between PSN and retail games. But since then, it hasn't been anything close to that. Out of 22 games rotated into the IGC (including Megaman), only five have been retail games. The initial batch was nice, but it was a one time thing. If anyone continues their subscription, what we get from here on out is going to be looking a lot more like what we've been getting since then.

It's probably been great if you really like PSN games, but Sony can't assume everyone is signing up for them. People like different types of games. They are selling Plus by keeping a 50/50 split in the IGC on the day you subscribe to hook gamers of different tastes, but if you're mainly interested for the retail games side of things, the past six months haven't proven that that same level of value is going to be there month to month.
What did you expect, look at his user tag. Literally bought plus for free retail games as if that's mainly what the service was intended for:roll:
You might want to use my user tag. It would fit. Because you'd have to be a dumbass to take anything I wrote as suggesting that retail games are "mainly what the service was intended for".
Well clearly there's a disclaimer with Plus that says users are going to get a minimum number of retail games per year. And anyone buying the service for anything other than retail games should just not bother.

Oh wait...the primary purpose of Plus isn't to get free retail games? And there's no promise or assumption anywhere that the majority of free games offered should be retail games? Weird...
Love the attitude. Tell me, what is promised in Plus? Games. That's about it. There's no promise of quality, or quantity. If you'll take anything just as long as it fits that extremely vague promise, good for you. But I'm pretty sure you, and pretty much anyone else here would be a little irritated if Sony decided it was cool to give you a Dora the Explorer PS2 game, a Mini, or a download of Madden 09 next month. The only reason people are happy with Plus is because they find the quality and quantity of content to be acceptable, not because of Sony's adherence to some incredibly vague description of what PS+ is supposed to offer.

But go ahead. Act like reasonable expectations count for nothing. We wouldn't want Sony to worry that people are buying into the IGC thinking it's indicative of what's going to be offered over the next twelve months.
The rest of the guys have pretty much said what I would have in a response so there's not much more for me to say on the subject of PS+.

I actually have no problem with people voicing their opinion or "complaining" about PS+, or pretty much anything else in the world. I think the reason we're all so testy about the PS+ complainers is that they do it in such a childish, immature, ungrateful fashion. They call the 20+ PSN games we're received since IGC started "crap" and "garbage", they threaten to storm off and not renew their subscription or to even change to a rival console, they curse and whine and (on the PS Blog) even suggest that the SCEA team should be fired. When the complainers say stuff like that, their arguments lose all validity. And since it happens almost ad nauseum across the internet, those of us here on CAG tire of it.

Here's a far better way of complaining:

"Since the PS+ Instant Game Collection was introduced in June, I've received over 40 games in 6 months for just $50. Games like Quantum Conundrum really took me by surprise, and I was super excited to get Resident Evil 5 Gold because I've been dying to to play RE5 with my Move controller.

That being said, I can't help but to see what SCEE is doing with their IGC, and I personally feel like their version is currently much better than ours. I would love to add games like Darksiders, Batman: Arkham City, and Deus Ex to my instant game collection over some of the smaller PSN games that we've received here in the U.S. In fact, the SCEE PS+ program has offered 19 full retail games since June, whereas the U.S. program has only offered 12. I personally enjoy full retail games more than PSN games, and would love to see a smaller discrepancy of full retail games between the 2 regions. Please bring more full retail games to PS+."

If someone was to post a well thought out "complaint" like the one above, I'd gladly respond to it in a civil manner and have a genuine discussion about it. I'm sure Morgan and the team at the PS Blog would be more responsive and appreciative of critical feedback like that as well.
I responded to you more or less because of the "best deal in gaming" being mentioned when talking about the complainers, as if the deal makes the complaining less acceptable or the criticism invalid or something. I interpreted it as as much of an attack on the argument as the way it's presented. But it sounds like that wasn't your intention, so I guess we're not really disagreeing.

Holy crap, it has co-op? That's awesome. I remember playing Earthworm Jim on my Sega Saturn all the time when I was younger.
