Exactly what I'm doing lol. Got $20 left now to spend. $5 will be on issac clarke ps allstar dlc. The other $15 will go toward Zen Pinball if nothing else is on sale I want.
I picked up the Star Wars tables at the start of the sale. If don't remember if you picked them up yet? If not they play great it's worth the license fee.

Yep already got them due to a lot of recommendations for it. Been loving them. Especially the Empire table. Next table pack I'll probably get is the one with infinity gauntlet and the avengers in it for $10 if I need to before the 1st. What other tables are you looking at?

I think Rocketbirds for Vita might round out my $50 for the month. Already played and beat it on PS3, but it was a pretty sweet game. I need to check on the trophies and focus on platinum'ing it this time.

EDIT: Hmmm....there's one pretty awful online one. Damn.

The tables I'm looking at are Street Fighter and some possible Marvel tables. I love playing these tables on Vita but getting cross buy is excellent for the price.

Yeah the cross buy is also a big factor in the buying decision for me. I'll have to check out the demos for the non marvel tables like street fighter. Cause I think the marvel pack with Infinity Gauntlet in it is enough marvel for me haha.

I was looking to see what the last sale price was on Resident Evil 1,2,3,3, and code veronica. I saw that Europe is having a PSN sale on them right now. Does anyone know if there is a trend where the US follows the sale eventaully or is there a way that we in the US can purchase their deals?

There isn't a trend. Some might tell you there is and others might think the same thing going on sale during the same calendar year is "following", but they either will or won't. Even if we DO get the sale, nothing says it will be as good, but at the same time nothing says it will be worse either.

Yes you can purchase their things, you just need EU cash and an EU account. There isn't and will NEVER be a way to do it via a US account, but you can buy/play the stuff like that.

^It happens from time to time, but don't count on it. Just recently, however, we had a Final Fantasy sale about a month after EU had it, so it's definitely possible.

As for buying things from other regions besides the US, I find it to be WAY too much of a hassle to be worth it. You can't just create an EU account and buy stuff with a credit card or PSN card or anything.

All you need to do is create an account for that region and get a corresponding PSN card for that region to be able to buy their stuff.

Thanks guys I did the math and after conversion it looks like it'd be better for me to do the 10/50 deal and pay full price. I'll wait until next week just to be sure the US doesn't join in.

Ya, "hassle" probably wasn't the right word. But it can still be a pain when it comes to getting exchange rates to work out right so that you're still getting a deal (speaking strictly for sales, not as applicable when you're willing to pay full price for a game). Just curious, is there a good place to buy EU/UK PSN cards online for regular price?

I wonder if PS Plus members who already have Rocketbirds on PS3 will get an additional discount on the Vita version. Normally it shows up for $7.99 for me since I bought the PS3 version previously. If it's 40% off that price ($4.80), I might just grab it.

The discount was for a limited time, so it's back to $9.99.

PlayAsia has them for a decent price. I'm not too sure about other sites for that sort of stuff.

I thought it was $7.99 for people who own the PS3 version. Shows up $7.99 for me also.

I guess I forgot to let it load all the way. Still, I don't think they'll change the price since the new sale will sort of override that current price. If you really want an answer, ask Morgan on the blog post and see if he'll answer it.

Good idea. I did just that.
I think the same discount thing applies with Oddworld Stranger HD PS3 & Vita. Did anyone who bought the PS3 version notice if they had an extra discount on the Vita version a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale?
just got around to Rayman Origins Vita from the sale. Wow. This game is excellent.
Yeah. It's a phenomenal port. Looks amazingly sharp. I have that cartridge with me all the time since it's such a fun pick-up-and-play game.
Haha why? I liked it.
The health bar goes down really fast, so you can't really explore much, the controls annoy me, and when you die, you start over (granted, the levels aren't that long). I don't know, maybe I'm just not playin it right but it frustrates the crap outta me. Ah well, I just have one more world and two more levels to do so I'll probably just blow through the rest of it tonight.

and so...
I'm still missing that $8 to hit $100.

getting Rocketbird for sure at $5.99

still have yet to get..
Lumines
Rayman Origins
HSG - I mistakenly thought they would be on sale this week... turned out it's just the DLC.. sheesh
PSM Switch Galaxy
PSM Haunt the House
P4G*
Soul Sacrifice*

*hoping to use the money from the spend $50, get $10 for these...

my procrastination is a crime.
Isn't it spend 50$ all at once
Pretty sure it isn't, I mean that would just anger too many people and have people screaming fraud.

Yeah, so I just fired up the NBA Jam that we got from PS+ a few months ago. Does this game really have no tactile feedback/vibration? Not even for dunks?! That's just...silly. Even NBA Street had it had on PS2. What an incredibly weird exclusion (unless I'm missing how to turn it on).

And, yes, Rayman is awesome on Vita. I only just realized you could tap the lums and enemies in bubbles. Makes it a lot more managable.

Does anyone know if DOA5 Plus will come with any early purchase bonuses like the last few Tecmo/Koei games? I might just grab it on PSN to go along with the promo but maybe not it if it's like 5GB in size.
There are quite a few indie games coming to Vita in the future.
Ok, so it looks like Fez will be coming to PSN as well! Craziness. (sorry for the double post).

Should come with the cheerleader costumes.

both of these are well worth it.

i had no idea. thanks! that should definitely save me some headache because i was definitely getting to 'headache' levels trying to catch every bubble via my character.
The BL 2 season pass is almost insultingly bad...

The first pack was made the same team that worked on Duke Nukem Forever (many people were from the original company) and was a train wreck. The DLC can be completed in about an hour and a half, which isn't much. One of the new characters is among the least liked characters in ALL of Borderlands (long story, but many agree) and the other one isn't much better. The DLC then caps off with 2 raid bosses, which were highly disliked. The first one because he didn't really do anything and would spam Nova damage. The other one is the infamous Master Gee, who required you to kill worms to even damage him and is filled with far too many ways to lose.

The second pack was made by the people who did Sorcery and was a little better. Torgue was an amusing character, which worked well with Moxxi / Tina, but the DLC didn't have much lasting appeal. Like the new gear had less practical uses than the first pack and torgue tokens are really only useful for buying the exclusive head or the Nukem. This is probably the best DLC, but not enough to save the game.

The third pack stars Hammerlock (ew!) and is made by the DNF people again. This campaign has 3 chapters and relies HEAVILY on the awesomeness of Jack / Claptrap to make it redeeming. The new raid boss combined the two elements people hated about the first pack into a single boss, but unlike them he doesn't have a lot of life. This time around most of the new gear is found via bosses, which means you get the joy of farming them for things. They also added a "secret" raid boss that requires a little under 100 eridum to summon. This fight is pretty anticlimactic, but at least fair when compared to their other bosses.

In all and all, the three DLC packs are extremely short and help a fringe minority. Gearbox has already implied the next pack will also be outsourced, so I wouldn't put much faith in them. Even if you think I am being overly cynical because thats what type of person I am, keep in mind that each DLC has been doing worse in terms of reviews.
And I'll be the "wing" to your "wang", and say I thoroughly enjoyed all the DLC so far. Maybe it's because I'm actually doing all the side-quests that will take many more hours than merely "1 1/2" ... and I'm not even sure how that's possible ... because if you started the DLC at level 30'ish, rather than at the max-level of 50, then you'd actually face a challenge!

I also enjoyed the expansion of the universe, rather than seeing the same wastelands or Hyperion Corp's manifestations, I got to see an alternate desert region, an industrial pit dedicated to deathmatches, and a weird-ass zone full of creatures never seen before. Let them put out a Season 2, for all I care, because I bought the game for $60, and the Season (1) Pass for $20 during December's sale, and easily put in nearly 1/4 of the hours into the DLC as I had the main game.

It's apparent you live to complete games, and merely farm raids at the end-game to try for the "uber gun", whatever that is ... because at level 50, what is really a challenge anymore? On Metacritic, I see the PC scores in at 80, 82, and 77 ... which doesn't sound much like the "HMS Gearbox is sinking" mentality you hoped to convey. It scores that well because franky BL2 is the most-fun shooter of 2012, the DLC gives you more than just maps or a single-path dungeon, and the game proves time & again that imaginative games with good mechanics kick ass.

Calling the BL2 DLC short is the biggest pile of crap I have read in some time.

Even if you take your low low estimate of 2 hours for each DLC then the price of the Season pass is $30 for 8 hours of content which works out to 16 hours if it was a full game price.

What's the situation with game updates on the PS3? Is it like the Xbox where the dev has to pay lots of money to put out an update, or are updates free for the dev? I'm thinking of Fez here, of course.
imaginative games with good mechanics kick ass.
That was my problem with BL2. The imaginative part couldn't keep up with the mechanics part, so we got a better playing BL1. That isn't to say it's not a good game or anything, I just didn't find myself wowed like a lot of people. For me, it was sort of like GTA3. When GTA3 came out, it was god damn ridiculous, and a blast to play. While I later found myself enjoying Vice City much more than GTA3, there was no way it was going to have that same effect again. While it isn't really fair to fault a game for something like that, it doesn't mean we shouldn't expect developers to try to overcome these types of issues.

Then again, my problem might be that one of the primary reasons people love the game, the humor, was my least favorite part. For the most part, the writing made me cringe more than it made me laugh. As for the the DLC, I can see where people are coming from in regards to it feeling rather half-assed. I found everything to feel very samey, despite the new locations and characters. That said, if you're itching for more Borderlands after tearing through everything the main game offers, you probably won't be disappointed.

huh? it controls perfectly. what controls were you using? don't bother with the touch controls, use the normal controls you'd use on the psp or ps3 versions. i think i use the dpad to move, and x/square (or whichever) to turn.

it's a fantastic game on vita.

This post has too many syllables! Apologize!

Yeah, I'm confused as well. Use D-Pad, rotate with X and Square. It's a puzzle game, what more do you need?

I didn't even realize you could use touch controls...

I have the Xbox version, and it plays so much more "exact" that I wouldn't drop a buck on the Vita version. Granted, the Xbox version only cost me about a buck too, as it's not really my type of game to begin with. :)

Sounds like your Vita is broken.
