I didn't even realize you could use touch controls...

I have the Xbox version, and it plays so much more "exact" that I wouldn't drop a buck on the Vita version. Granted, the Xbox version only cost me about a buck too, as it's not really my type of game to begin with. :)
don't know what's up with your vita, but i can assure others here that vita lumines controls are precise -- i've put down some killer scores on lumines across the ps3, psp, and vita versions. i actually prefer the vita version now.

Kinda tempted on DW7E at that 49.99 supposed sale + the whole 50/10 thing going
Supposed sale? Others might have more insight, but my own experience with their games are they take awhile to drop in price.
Does anyone know how long the Koei games take to drop in price.

I don't remember Koei DLC ever going on sale, and their full digital games are fairly new. I think stuff like NG3 and DoA5 would get price drops before DW games, since 7 Empires was one of the top selling games in Feb (iirc). DW7E hasn't even been out a month, so it may take awhile. I reviewed the game and I really liked it, so if you liked DW7, it's probably worth buying and getting the $10 back. Though if you aren't going to play it for awhile, just wait it out.

It might be a good idea for those that want to get The Cave as quickly as possible to start downloading the demo now so you can just grab the unlock key when the PS Store is updated.

Is there going to be no playstation store blog update this week with upcoming discounts?
Seems it's usually there by now so we can keep refreshing, waiting for the store to update tonight.

The PS Store update post will have all of that stuff in it. The only time there are deal posts outside of it are for big promotions and publisher sales.

Ahhh. Thank you sir.

Man, I wish they would give us some sorting options for the download list. I'm still recovering from an HDD crash over 6 months ago just because I'm hesitant to trudge through there again.

Or I guess I could just stop being so fucking lazy.

No, the fact they still haven't put a sort option is lazy

I've never tried the PS3 or PSP versions, but the Xbox version is so much smoother. The Vita version is just "twitchy". That might work for some people, but it made me over-shoot a lot.

I seriously doubt it's a problem with the Vita, as the other couple dozen games I have played on it work just fine. :)

A d-pad heavy game smoother on Xbox. Wtf am I reading

Really though, since you're the only person that has this problem, i'd just try it again. The controls really couldn't be better.

I just recovered from one myself - took me about 4 days to go back through my 1,500 downloads and re-download what I wanted. I really wish they'd go to a Steam-esque list of all the games you own, with the ones you don't have currently downloaded simply grayed out. That way you won't forget about any games you own but don't currently have on your system, and you can easily redownload any that you want to play. With a separate section for PS+ games you've claimed.

Sorry, a bit off topic, but wanted to get some opinions from people who've played NFS MW Vita here.

NFS Most Wanted Vita is $20 on the Origin store right now. Is that a good price? Has it ever been lower on PSN or PS+?

Great game on the Vita. The graphics are toned down and the multiplayer has a couple less people per session than the home consoles, but the game is a lot of fun. I had so much fun just driving around and finding stuff let alone the actual racing. The multiplayer is a lot of fun - especially when you are doing stunt type challenges.

It has not been lower than $20, although it has been $20 on Origin before. It will be a long time before you will see it less than $20 on PSN or PS+, although I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the $20 range at retail within a few months.

Played a bit of Lumines Live and Electronic Symphony to see if I was missing something about the controls and ES controls better by far due to the better d-pad. Lumines Live controls fine, but I don't get how that's supposed to be way better than ES.

I think the OP of that message just wants some attention. His post doesn't make any sense.

He did admit the game wasn't his cup of tea, so maybe he's just reaching for reasons not to like it.
So is The Cave a straight up adventure game, or is there platforming, 2D puzzles, and stuff like that?
From what I've read I believe it's very much a traditional adventure game with puzzles that looks like a platformer but doesn't rely on jumping puzzles and such. Could be wrong though - finished downloading the demo but won't have time to play it until later. Just as well.
So is The Cave a straight up adventure game, or is there platforming, 2D puzzles, and stuff like that?
A bit of both. It's an adventure game with puzzles and all that where your primary method of getting around is with platforming. It's not going to require any sort of skill with that platforming since that's not really the focus of the game.

Thanks for the info! I'm tempted to get this game since I agree it probably won't go lower than $20 on PSN, and I highly doubt EA would let Sony add NFS MW to the PS+ instant game collection.
FYI PS All-Stars dropped a patch today, it's 1.1GBs so anyone who plays probably wants to get started on that.
The patch better not be nearly that size for the Vita.

So I know this is not the place, but it seems like a lot of Vita games include new DLC as updates to the game, and then when you buy the DLC you just get an unlock key. Why is that? Space is at a premium already on the Vita and I have no desire to download DLC that I don't actually own.

Also, I haven't actually tried this yet, but can you go online in Vita games when you don't have the latest patch downloaded and installed?

Thanks, sounds like I may like it. I should have downloaded the demo last night, but I'm lazy.

i'm sure i'll sort this out myself soon enough, but is The Cave coop friendly? i'm seriously looking for a game my wife will like to play with me, and they are few and far between.

she's _loved_ pj monsters and stacking, and sorta 'likes' games like lumines, etc. she's curious about costume quest because someone told her she might like it. she digs lego games, sometimes.

here's hoping The Cave is coop and she likes it...

is that the patch for zeus/isaac? i.e. if i got the gow a code, i can enter it and it will work now? thanks
edit - yeps, read patch notes. thanks guys.

n frisky you read my mind. last night when i bought bittrip, lumines and rayman i started the download for the cave. also i got that foosball before it goes away. i downloaded(purchased it) on vita, so it kinda is messed up you have to go in your download list. so heads up for people buying crossbuy games, 'purchase' them on your ps3 (especially if +) or else its a headache cuz it won't let you dl straight from the page.

Yeah, that was one of my annoyances with Escape Plan (which is one of my favorite Vita games, but needed to remove it from my memory card to make space for other games. Still need to finish the DLC). PSASBR needs to have the DLC patched in for online play to work. If someone had the DLC and you tried to play against them, but didn't have the data for that character, it would not work. The online would become segregated between people with the DLC, and people without.

The patch for PSASBR has a ton of fixes/adjustments which is probably why it's so big. There's a huge list of things. If it's anything like the other PSASBR patches, it won't take up as much space when installed. The last big patch at like 1GB only took up an additional 200MB or something like that. Here's the official list of changes: http://community.us.playstation.com...Royale-Notes-on-3-19-13-Balance/td-p/39878989

Thanks for the answers rpg and zonic. Does this PSASBR patch replace the previous one, as in they both won't need to be installed on to my memory card?

EDIT: Also thanks Tygamr, that's weird that it doesn't take up as much space as the download is. I'll check my file sizes at home on Escape Plan and PSASBR before I continue to rage haha.
update for ps3 it has no new trophies
Strange. I figured there would be something like "Do Sir Daniel's LV3 on Graveyard".

Update: I see Tekken 6 is free for PS+ members now on my Vita.
Crap, I dont have enough space for the update on my vita if it's 2.21 GB
No, thats the file size from my computer.

old file
2.21 GB (2,375,221,248 bytes)

new update file
2.16 GB (2,330,853,376 bytes)

Geez, another free game! Good thing I got a 16GB card to put all my PSP and PSOne games on so I can dedicate my Vita games to my 32GB. Looking forward to Disgaea 3 next week too. I did not have plans to pick it up unless it got cheap, and it can't get any cheaper than free. :D

PSASBR's added trophies would only come from paid DLC rather than free ones. That was how the previous one worked, and I assume they'll maintain that trend...

I'm now seeing all the new content on Vita. *downloads Dead or Alive 5+ demo*

There's also PS All-Stars bundles where you can get 2 DLC characters & a stage for $10, basically getting the DLC stage for free with the purchase of both characters.

Platformer with puzzles, BUT with a huge issue. You have to literally play the entire game through more than 3 times to complete it.

And if you don't do something VERY specific (and something you wouldn't even think of doing) at the end, then you play through the entire game (and yes, ALL those times) for the "good" ending.

Watch zero punctuation's review of it before buying. Even if it was free, I'd pass on it.

Snagged the Hot Shots Golf DLC. Can't wait to play it...HSG may well be my favorite Vita game, as crazy as that sounds. I actually got the game for $10 during a Best Buy sale, so the DLC was almost as much as the game!

Update: I see Tekken 6 is free for PS+ members now on my Vita.
Sweet! I love PS+.

I see a bundle where for $10 more, you get Dead or Alive 5+ and DoA Paradise (remake/port of Xtreme 2 on 360), which is normally $30 on PSN. Still wish there was a PS3/Vita bundle for DoA5 like what Japan got.
