Not sure who I am more disappointed in

them for making a habit out of giving away games we've had cheaply shoved down our throats for a year

or myself for knowing that and still buying the shit repeatedly thrown my throat for a year only to be repeatedly disappointed in the announcements

Wow, brutal month for plus.. with humble bundle at 2 different times featuring Darksiders, and sales on the game throughout the year, plus it's a remaster of a highly popular last gen game, I highly doubt there is more than a tiny percentage of people that haven't played or don't already own this. Then a movie licensed game? Well people wanted retail games.. ugh.. terrible month! Let's hope Sony offsets this with a month of sales like last year.. but after what they pulled in November, I won't hold my breath.
I agree. But there are prolly folks like me that are mildly curious about Darksiders but not enough to pay for it. For a PS+ freebie I'll boot it up and see what happens...

Odd question, but does anyone know if Star Ocean 4's remaster is based on the Original 360 release, or the International PS3 release?

There is quite a bit more content in the international, which is why I ask.

I haven't played that one, is it the CHRISTmas Version?
This has the cadence of a joke, but I can't exactly tell what it is. Maybe if my original post wasn't two separate sentences, possibly, but I think you're reaching for something that you had no business attempting.

Forma8 seems to be favorably reviewed for the Vita, very interested to trying it out. If it is short enough, I will play through it after I finish with Digimon.

Forma8 is easily the best of the bunch IMO. Have it on iOS but am looking forward to playing on PS4.

Sony's going for the Triple Crown for winning the console wars with the introduction of the XBox One X (what a stupid name)

Have a killer Black Friday sale on Black Friday...check

Make it a one two punch with Cyber Monday.... double check

Get the knockout with incredible PS+ games for December to make it be the console you, YES YOU, want for Christmas...checkmate!

Also, for the record, I liked the CHRISTmas pun, so you get a like!

For someone with 'pun' in their user name, I expect better. I mean, that wasn't even a bad pun, it was more like a panda turd left out in the sun and served up as a brownie.

And trust me, I like bad puns.

Speaking of easy plats though apparently that xblaze game is one, like a 5 hour weird adventure game/VN. Might check it out as I have a soft spot for Arc for some reason.
Failed to notice that earlier so thanks for pointing it out. XBlaze has an 82% Plat rate on PSNProfiles so that makes this a good month of Plus as far as I'm concerned. Forma8 is at 25% so that might be worth a look as well.

Yeah I've been seeing people say a lot of good stuff about Forma.8 (in this thread and elsewhere.) I enjoy myself a good metroidvania so it could end up being my favorite type of plus game, one of those I've never even heard of before but end up enjoying.

I prefer big pun.

Disagree. The first hour feels like Link to the Past. Everything after that feels like a chore with bad frame rates. Oh and glitched trophies.
Frame rates have been improved with patches and I think the gameplay holds up throughout the game. But just my opinion.

Anyone know of a way to flip a $40 eBay coupon (which is nontransferable and cannot be applied to gift cards) into PSN or Amazon credit?... worst case scenario I pick up some physical games...

Doesn't work on the digital cards sold direct by paypal, but it would probably work on the physical PSN cards being sold at a slight mark-up by various ebay sellers.

Bought a new Magma Red controller on Amazon on sale. Really, really impressed by the step up in build quality: my other controller always had a lot of flex, felt really cheap plastic. This one is tight, no flex at all, plastic feels really sturdy. All the buttons way more springy than my other controller ever was, thumbsticks feel much smoother. Really solid, feels almost like I've been transported back a decade to back when first-party controllers always had reliable build quality.

Nice,I couldn't help myself and I picked up a red and blue one myself from gamestop over the black Friday sale.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but it seems that Sony finally increased the Wishlist limit. Not sure what the new limit is, but I added an additional game, taking me to 98. 97 was the prior limit.

Playing some Sky Force Reloaded and it's really fun as a follow up to Anniversary. They've got a lot of the same things going on here that were in the original, but there are some new things. It seems like there are multiple planes to earn that probably play differently, though I haven't unlocked anything new yet. The upgrades have multiple levels to them so you don't max it out quickly after the typical grind of the game's campaign. They have this weird objective system in the main menu that offers some sort of reward just for reaching certain milestones for the various stats it tracks, though it's not very upfront with what the point of that system is about. They also added a card radar mechanic that seems to just point you to the next level that may drop a card if you spend some stars on that with it being a better chance the more you spend on the scan, which seems like a late game thing to do if you're aiming for that trophy. I don't know if you get this with every card, but the first that dropped gave me a temporary boost for stars for the next 15 minutes that makes them more interesting to collect.

If you haven't played the original, it's on sale for $3 and is well worth that for a good shmup. If you have, this is worth checking out if you want more of that style of shmup. The only knock I have is that the trophy list looks to be really hard as the most earned trophies are for completing each level on one of the highest difficulties.

Played both Sky Force Anniversary and Reloaded on mobile long before they made it to consoles. Great games (and also play quite well on mobile).

Do have Anniversary on PS4 as well. May pick up Reloaded as well when it gets cheaper. Glad to see the devs have success porting the games.

I thought the limit was always 100, but games that got delisted were undeletable and so don't show up but 'count' towards your 100?

Thats nice. Now all they need to do is add it to that actual console store. It absolutely AMAZES me that it isn't implemented there yet.

I stayed up way too late last night playing that game, I really like it (and I enjoyed Anniversary). The 15 minute card thing are just for the ones on the left of the card list window (they all explicitly say something about only lasting 15 minutes), but most of them are permanent effects like the first (increase rope size for saving humans, etc.).

Unlocking upgrades takes much longer than the first because of the multiple levels, but they are cheaper per upgrade. And they seem to get more powerful than the first game (probably because the levels appear to be more difficult than the first). I was afraid with the new ships they would make the upgrades per ship, but fortunately they are universal. They have some interesting effects on the new ships, like faster but less health or the one that increases the card drop rate but makes you a glass cannon.

All of these ways to find cards tells me they took lessons from the first, where finding the last few cards took a ridiculously long time due to the RNG. Other quality of life improvements include planes containing weapon upgrades glow so you can focus on them when things get hectic. There also seem to be a lot more crates to also improve special item drop rates (cards, ship parts, companion ships). Once you complete a new ship you can get random power ups that will cause one of them to join you in battle (the CPU is competent, but things like rockets will kill them really fast).
