Yeah, you’re right. Not sure which one I was thinking about. I’m a little brain dead today. But some of the reviews make it sound like they weren’t playing the same game. A few made it sound like they just continually dump 80s references without enough depth or focus on story. Then another review says the opposite.

I’m a child of the 80s thought so I’m inclined to give it a shot anyway.

I just saw this post and I wanted to say that I too am terrible at Don't Starve. If you want an easier survival game, try Crashlands on Android or iOS. Much easier. Enjoyable even.

It's worth it imo. I bought it when it was brand new and I'd still play it if I had the time. I played a lot with my brother. The campaign isn't really long, you have to basically keep replaying the different levels so you can level up different characters. The multiplayer is fun too, which is what people prefer over the campaign for the most part. Keep in mind if you want more content and characters you'll have to buy the season pass. That being said, that's just what I think about the game.

I think I've come to the conclusion I don't like survival games. Or sandbox games. Or permadeath games. Which is a real shame, because I love everything else about Don't Starve: the art style, the music, all the variant enemies and items. Just the game I hate.

I played the demo and it's kind of cool, but I'm not in any real rush to play. Still, I'm glad it's 20% off even though the coupon expired yesterday. The lack of any other deals kind of forces me to consider it.

recode is good has a number of quality of life improvements. But still has the awful aida battles.

 
Mercenary Kings Reloaded Edition appears to be free on PSN.

It looks like a Vita version of the PS Mercenary Kings.

Released Feb 6, 2018.  Delayed cross-buy?  It says I got the PS4 version (free via PS+?) at some point

It's free for those that owned the original and includes the Vita version. It's the same game with some new content in it.

Same here. The only thing I've received from Sony Rewards outside of points for purchases is a 500 point "we're sorry" bonus after I complained multiple times about not receiving the 15% coupon for the damn trials which I've had done for months. Now I've had all the trophy passes done for a month and haven't seen a single point for those either. How many of you guys have actually received what you're owed for your activity?

 
Funny, I used to receive the PlayStation emails and got a few codes in the past but I haven’t gotten even the weekly emails in like a month now.

Having not yet played Xcom 2, would anyone advise getting the DLC before starting? From what I've read it seems similar to how Enemy Within expanded upon Enemy Unknown (even though they were technically considered two separate games). Or is it worth playing through Xcom 2 first and then coming back at a future point to play the DLC?

I tried playing Gravity Rush 2 in first person for a while, and it felt like a different experience. I agree that having different view options could greatly change things up in many games.
 
I would bet there will be a Flash sale this Friday.  Last Friday of the month and also coincides with Lunar New Year.  Rumor has it Steam will be having a Lunar New Year sale as well starting Thursday 2/15

So PSA, the PS4 pro coupon expires on the 28th if bought late last year. Not sure if consoles sold this year have updated codes or not.

 
I decided to do something drastic to kill my backlog. I'm creating a new PSN id and leaving everything behind. I am now only gonna play games that make my butthole pucker in anticipation. I'm no longer going for trophies but I will play the games on their hardest difficulty like affa.

My only problem is trying to come up with a new id.

Why not? I think it's great. It'll be like the old days when I would buy a game and then immediately start playing that game. Then when I've beaten it, I go and buy another one. No backlog, no wasting time on mediocrity, playing the game exactly how I want to play it, etc. The only con is the wasted money.
 
I've been rooting for NBA Live because competition means better net quality in games but the state of this franchise is very sad. $5 for the latest one tells me they're in trouble.

My friend kinda threw it out there for me a little while ago "Would you ever sell your psn id?" I don't know the legality or whatever, but hell, if your digital backlog is that big and if a newb trophy hunter wants a head start....Look into it.
