I liked AC1. Played AC2 right after it. Got lost / bored and quit. Tried to pick it up years later and really just didn't want to play it or any other AC game. Picked up AC4 for cheap when the PS4 launched. Took me a month to even try it. I loved it. The ship battles were just a ton of fun. The land based stuff was better then I remember in AC1 and AC2 but was my least favorite part of the game. I spent weeks at sea and exploring smaller islands. I had to almost force myself to do the story misions. I see AC5 is a different time without the ships so I will skip it. I will very likely pick up AC4 on PSN when it is $20 or less.

 
Thanks to the Target trade-in promo, add Black Flag to go along with AC3 in what is becoming a list of Assassin's Creed games that I will never finish.

I'm always a bit surprised at the bad rap Revelations gets. I found Constantinople to be the best city they've done yet, surpassing Rome which seemed a bit too spread out. The plot isn't particularly strong (I'd be hard pressed to remember the plot from any entry of the series), but at least it kept the modern day stuff to a minimum (I hate those segments) and the gameplay is solid. Most of the big improvement to the gameplay are there, the kind of stuff which makes it hard to recommend playing the older ones since they started off so clunky.

The series as a whole has gotten a bit stale, though, and desperately needs a reworking in the new gen era. A whole lot of repetition to be buying and playing these every year.

I'm pretty sure the bitch posts only works if it doesn't get any likes. Since the professor likes to watch me fail he kept ruining my bitch posts.

Plus I imagine everyone really likes reading about me playing ffx and doing doofy menial tasks to get trophies that everyone else managed (probably effortlessly) 10 years ago.

I'm not skeptical about the buyout, I'm skeptical about how the acquisition benefits YouTube. YouTube seemingly does everything that you would expect a video streaming site to do. There have been plenty of high-profile acquisitions that seem like good investments at the time and have panned out to nothing, i.e. News Corp's acquisition of Myspace for $580 million.

I don't keep up on news about the next-gen consoles, or rather, current-gen - I'm still not used to that - but to me it seems like Twitch is just a stepping stone until the hardware can do live streaming innately. Think about when rumble feedback technology was new - they were separate devices that plugged into the N64 or Dreamcast controllers. Five years later, that technology is built into every hardware unit and has since been used in every console to date. So though I'm not familiar with Twitch, it seems like it's in a similar situation until consoles do their own streaming.

How does that work? Who hosts the content after it has been streamed?

I think the concern a lot of people have with the buyout is how Youtube will handle copyright issues.

Thanks for not banning me from the forum because of the 'They're here' post. For what it's worth, I didn't post it in direct response to your comment in the thread. I didn't check the new comments that were coming in as I put my post together and yours was one of them. Regardless, my post wasn't a decent thing to do after I had just finished whining about how abrasive other people can be on CAG. I value the time and effort that you put into maintaining the PSN thread. I enjoy CAG and try to contribute when I can.

Ah. Spelunky is super fun and a game I keep coming back to. It's also really fun coop. My 11 year old and I started playing coop again this weekend. Good stuff. I can't wait for them to fix the crashing bugs they introduced on PS3, though. Need that for coop.

Yeah, my 11 year old son is better at Spelunky than you are.

How can anyone not like Spelunky? You might die and die and die and die and die but its all good. So much fun.

I think Velocity Ultra is starting to get it's hooks in me. I was going straight forward to the end but I've started re-visiting levels to go for perfects. Can anyone tell me what the difference is of getting a gold and a perfect? Not dying in the level? Great game though. I think I'm on about level 45 now. I think the only think I'm not crazy about is the backtracking levels. The game does have that let me try this one more time appeal though.

I should go back to Velocity Ultra. I played a bit of it when it went free (or was it that it went cheap?) and it was fun enough but didn't grab me. I should give it more time.

To get a Perfect, you have to get the Gold stats (rescue every survivor, beat the level within the Gold time limit, surpass the top high score) plus not die once.

Was hoping there would be a day 1 sale for transistor, guess not.

That and child of light i want to get, but waiting either for a sale on them or for a spend 50 get 10 back promo since there are a lot of great but expensive indie titles coming out, including the swapper in June

Oh that's all!? :shock: I did manage about 10 or so already without too much effort. I suppose the later levels are the hard ones. I really love the race to the end levels that force you to boost the whole time. So good.

Ok by me, just have so much to play as it is. Although I've been pretty good about backlog lately. Feel like I'm making a dent although statistically speaking it's probably about 0.0000023%.

 
i really just wanted to trade in my dark souls 2 and keep the black armor case and dlc, but if you need to trade in case to get full 55, im not gonna do it. At least this gives me a viable way to trade and upgrade to diablo 3 ultimate edition for free. Anyone wanna play swarm/super swarm on section 8/section 8 prejudice?

Zimm- I am pretty sure you only get triple credit if you do it in store. You can still lock it in, but only for base.

If you are having trouble with the high scores make sure to grab all the ammo refill and other pickups, even if you don't need them. They give you points too and are essential for high scores on some of the levels.

The pre-order confirmed that there wouldn't be a launch PS+ discount or they would've offered it then like Wolfenstein. I'll have YouTube video of the first hour or so up tomorrow after I get home.

Ok y'all are right. Reading is fun!

I'm gonna try to finish up the bioShock Infinite DLC tonight or tomorrow so I can trade that in for $10ish. Doubt I'll get more than that anymore elsewhere. And yes I grabbed it on Plus as well. Just paranoid the saves and whatevers wont come over nicely. Plus I don't wanna download that big ass file if I don't have to.
 
I got screwed at my Target.  I was told I could trade in but I'd have to spend the money right then and on electronics.  Well the only thing that's worth buying is PSN credit but I really don't need it that bad at the moment.

yeah i was including the $10 rz cert. altho i passed on the deal after all cuz I really shouldn't be buying ubisoft games/c.e. guides for $64 total with 10rz back, it just doesn't seam feasible when I have such a large backlog/baby on the way/work and I usually just put the guides on my bookshelf and only look at them while playing the game... I am trying to make better financial decisions with my gaming budget ;)

I used all my target giftcards to buy a new baby seat, crib and double stroller. Flipping for baby stuff yo. I didn't even flip that much, mainly just diablo 3 upgrade in a few months. I kept my xcom within and dark souls 2 because it is hard for me to part with such great games and I really do like that black armor case  :) I wish they were like bestbuy and I could trade in disk only without such a tiv drop. peace all

Yeah I should have done that but at the time it didn't pop into my mind. It took them over 30 mins to figure out how the trade in works, then another 15 before they figured out that I had to spend the money right then and there. I'm not going to bother going back.
