If you start the game with the game disc and make a save then it updates the DLC and lets you play online. Otherwise it won't let you play online until you delete the DLC stuff or update it (which requires the disc to get it in sync with the current version).

So after I create a save with the GOTY edition disc and update the DLC, the DLC will be playable with the digital version from PS+ and allow me to play online?

Yeah, it's works fine online as long as it's all the correct version.

360 can just delete a certain file and force the whole thing to update without the disc but PS3 it's all just one install so you have to have the GOTY disc for it to update the DLC to the right version initially.

I don't understand how one gets banned from CAG, and both times it's happened I miss it. Literally 2 mods for the entire site. There used to be a guy here who consistently nuked this thread anytime we even went a little off topic but I think he's gone now. If/when more of you decide to join GAF be careful since they ban for a hell of a lot less (if you're new it's permanent).

Not sure how Apocalypse is a spoiler for anyone when we knew before the current movie came out that the next movie is X-Men Apocalypse and that since Ironman they tease the next movie at the end of the current movie.

It's just like Drive Club. They tried to rush it and it came out a turd in early hands-ons so now they're cleaning it up.

Game got a lot of shit for being a "liquid" 30 FPS because they had to make all the textures superpretty. Glad they're doing something about it. Expecting a much better product next year.

So your reasoning is I should have known the news because they weren't hiding it? In other words, if I'm interested in a movie I'm supposed to keep my ear to the ground and read up on all developments that pertain to it? I don't have time for that shit.

Video games are the only thing that I really keep up with, and even that I slack quite a bit on. Outside of games, if I haven't talked about it in here with you guys there's probably a good chance I haven't heard it.

No but when something's front page for several days on some of the biggest websites on the internet, follows an established pattern, and is already in production you can't really call it a spoiler any longer. Especially when it's a few seconds post credits that has no impact on the film.

He was probably being sarcastic (I can never tell) since we spent the better half of last week discussing it. And last I read the developers are sticking to the framerate decision. There's even a quote of one of them saying they initially toyed with the idea of 24 fps so I guess we oughta be thankful for what we get.

I don't see how that's a spoiler. Maybe it spoils the surprise of it? I try to avoid all spoilers but I was fine with that one because I knew what to expect (a preview for the next movie). I see it being the same as if someone had told me last year that there was a Godzilla movie coming out.

Ugh, it's obvious that the decision isn't/wasn't solely for artistic purposes, but rather what the hardware can allow. It's a AAA exclusive, so I'm sure Sony is not allowing them to say otherwise because it'd look bad for the hardware and might make people realize this console gen's gonna get dated quick.

Of course, even though the devs won't admit their decision is a hardware limitation, I bet they're working their asses off over the next year to try and get better performance out of the PS4 now that they have more experience with it.

This is pretty much just like how Drive Club got torn a new asshole over being a racing game that was sub-30 FPS, and then it was mysteriously delayed for about a year to "implement social features", and now magically it's 60 FPS.

What a load of shit.

On my second run I focused on video. Then neon. Didn't even touch smoke. It's funny because I initially thought video was the worst as well, but once upgraded it's arguably the most powerful. The demons you summon during invisibility are a big help. I saved a few shards for the last battle so I could upgrade the concrete missile. Made it go a lot faster.

I'm starting to think so as well.  Neon is pretty useless when
on an evil run since you lose the time slow down
and smoke
is
way more destructive.  Smoke has the worst
mobility
though and video at least comes close to neon in that regard.  I stopped focusing on neon once I was past
the parts where it was required
since you
can't use it end game anyway and are forced to use video and smoke
.  I just hate what a pain it is to find video juice.

 
Oh god this hurts my head. Just beat the game. iTs a piece of cake to play with any power and is such an easy platinum.

Enjoy the game and dont worry about spillers.  :p

I don't know how you can suck with it..it even makes traversing the world fun. I saved most of my upgrade points because I didn't think smoke and neon were that great, and I wasn't disappointed. I immediately upgraded all my 3rd power attributes and pwned every enemy. The 3rd power fully upgraded + upgraded smoke missiles was the most fun for me.

Although I think you technically need to use the last power to beat the final (really final) boss at the end, if I remember correctly.

I think I'm buying Monster Monpiece after I plat R&C Full Frontal Assault.   I know I probably should support Transistor instead.   Or play backlog (especially my growing PS+ backlog).

It's hard not to spoil Apocalypse. Hell, Verge had it as a headline story when the sequel was announced. It's almost like saying that they are going to make an Avengers 2 and 3 because the first one was good should be a spoiler.
