Ticket prices and service fees are getting crazy. I paid about $50-75 each show and it was worth it. One reason I love Jam bands is that the shows are priced well and you usually get 2 sets of music over 3 hours. Unless you've seen Ween where they don't take breaks and just play 3+ hours. Some shows you just need to pay if you want to see them.

On the Rush talk everybody forgot to mention how Neil Peart is a badass drummer.

I was able to see Roger Waters at summerfest here in Milwaukee a few years back. He did a dark side show that was amazing. It was for sure in my top 3 shows ever, and I go to a lot.

I like everything about this post. I saw him do The Wall twice and Dark Side once. While I prefer Dark Side as an album (I'd actually really want to hear him do Animals in its entirety), The Wall was hands down the coolest stage show I've ever seen (and I've been to a lot). The tickets cost a lot for what amounts to a 90 minute concert, but it was totally worth it (and necessary for how much they have going on during the show).

I wouldn't hold my breath for a reunion. Waters and Gilmore hate each other. It was a small miracle that they played that one super short show a few years back (was it live 8 or something?).
 
And back to the beer talk...Newcastle is my go to drink..New Glarus definitely has better beer than Spotted Cow...Two Women and Bak40 are 2 that come to mind. I tend to mostly buy variety packs from all the microbreweries around here.

...and my gf drinks blue moon (it is tasty though)

I wish I caught Pink Floyd's Division Bell tour in 1994 but failed. I know they hate each other but it's nice to still want to see them. Everybody thought the Live 8 was going to bring them back. I knew it wouldn't happen. The Wall was an AMAZING show and worth every penny. I would love to see Animals live.

I know they have lots of cover bands but they have one called Which Ones Pink? and they pull off a decent Floyd show.

They have 2 singers..one is an older bald guy that I like a lot better. His favorite album is Animals so you can always count on some of those songs.

Which Ones Pink is from the Los Angeles area. If suggest you check out some of their YouTube stuff so you can see there performance. They play a lot of free shows around this area. They've covered the full Animals album and right after played the whole Wish You were Here album in its entirety.

I've never seen you post CrazyDiamond. Welcome to this great thread.

Thanks for the welcome...and don't worry I know the antics around here. I've been a lurker for far too long. I think it was the Pink Floyd and beer talk that brought me out of woodworks.
 
To catch up...In last weeks sale I went with Psasbr to play on the vita at work...pretty fun game...easy as hell to get through arcade on the first two difficulties but will bump it up next time. I like the cross buy because the kids will have fun with it on the ps3
 
All Souls games are easy. Bloodborne looks more genuinely interesting than the others, and it looks to have an actual story.

Yea, I've got to get back into demons soon...hard to find time and the gamespy games had me tie down for awhile there.
I don't plan on a ps4 for another year or so, or maybe the white destiny one when that comes.

The Souls games have story/lore but it just requires reading all the item descriptions and talking to all NPC. They leave it up to you connect it all together.

Bloodborne looks interesting so far and I'm sure this release will sell more PS4's making Sony happy.

I'm on the east coast and have seen a Pink Floyd cover band called The Machine. They are really good and I seem to remember a pretty cool light show (I was in an altered state so don't remember exactly). They played Dark Side while The Wizard of Oz played on a screen. Pretty sure they tour nationally so may be worth keeping an eye out for them.
 
So I got the slim vita about a month ago, and have all the plus games for the last 2 years.

The first games I played and platted on it were guacamelee, virtues last reward, and uncharted ga, as well as a few smaller games. I loved these and it made me love my vita right out of the box, but now I can't find anything to catch my attention.

I started soul sacrifice thinking it'd be awesome but can't get into it. I was hoping for more of an adventure.
Are there any I'm missing from plus that I must play?

I've seen the light show once that comes through here every year. It was cool but yea, I was also in a mind altering state
 
As to stay on topic:

Brit Floyd is the only Pink Floyd cover band Ive seen.

Drinking some Polygamy Porter for the soccer game today. Blue Moon is very tasty with some orange slices, definitely isnt a girlie beer.

And definitely not digging the USA starting lineup today.

The Austrailian Pink Floyd plays up here in Minneapolis a lot, but I'm not a huge fan. I was watching a show of theirs on PBS and they fucked up the verses in Run Like Hell by doing the second verse first, then doing the second verse again. Lost all respect for them in that moment.
 
On the topic of beer, I did the Sam Adams tour in Boston yesterday. Good way to spend a couple hours and get some free beer.

I traded in Watch Dogs over the weekend as well, so now to get back to the PS3 backlog.

I was just starting Act 4. Liked it a good amount but I couldnt resist BB's $45 TIV for it yesterday and felt it was gonna drop quickly. I'll likely "rent" a copy from GS to finish up the story but I'm going on vacation Wednesday and wont have much time to game at all for the next 2-3 weeks.
