I remember thinking back then that the snail load time of Chrono Trigger on the PS1 is something that I can just put up with since it's just a fantastic master piece.  I was mistaken.

I'm seriously going to be so fuck ing salty if EU gets Dragon's Crown and US doesn't.  So just warning everyone now in advance, if you thought I posted a lot about my PS4 shipping time, well the bitching about Dragon's Crown will be 10 times worse.

This is good to hear. I'm thinking about getting a slim in addition to my OLED one, mainly for the size and battery. Would be the better model for travel use.

There's absolutely no reason to put up with it when there are easily available, superior ports on the DS or Android, even if it is 10Xish the cost.

Comparing them side by side it's not that simple though. Blues are better on the OLED but reds look better on the LCD, greens are about the same.

Yes but I believe that's the PS1 version which is the worst version. The PS2 version I believe was based off the N64 one with more stuff added.

Or just have fond memories of the original SNES games. Thats what I do. Its easier that way. Thats where the NO TRPOPHIES comment comes in.

and every time you come in here dribbling salt all over the place I'll talk about how the game is soooo good and how I already platted it and sold it for a profit instead of waiting for it to be free on ps+ like a big old weinerbutt.

I don't own a new Vita so I'll have to take your word for it but in general OLED screens produces a more vivid color and richer blacks than LCD screens. The majority of reviewers seem to agree.

And worse whites. It's going to be a trade off regardless and I have absolutely no issue with the LCD they've used even comparing it side by side.

Majority of game reviewers probably know dickall about color.

Leaving that aside, the LCD is better in most respects. OLED has deep blacks, but the LCD has a better white level. That's pretty much a wash unless you're playing a lot of very dark games. The LCD doesn't have mura (dim spots), doesn't have vertical banding at low brightness settings, and produces more accurate color.

The 1000's over saturation made some games, like Guacamelee and Sly 4, look really vivid. But it makes other things look like dog anus. The color inaccuracy is really noticeable on anything that's not been targeted for the Vita. Streaming video and Remote Play streams in particular.

Look at a game like Second Son on a properly calibrated TV. Then look at the Original Vita's representation over Remote Play and it's really obvious that the display is mucking with the color.

Tl;dr -- I <3 the Vita, but I hate the 1000's OLED with burning passion. The Slim is a huge improvement.

Everytime you bitch about this I giggle with glee knowing I beat it fairly easily and enjoyed it and all the other GoW plats. In fact I enjoy every time anyone complains about any of the challenges in these games. I am on the other side of this equation way too often.

If they weren't such cheating goat lovers it would be easy. I get about 80% of the way up, just under where I need to reach the edge, and they without fail instantly grab me and throw me off the platform. Or on the occasion they don't do that I'll be standing in the middle and I'll block a regular attack and suddenly the ground loses all fritcion and I go sliding the length of the entire platform and off.

Man, I told u guys The Order was gonna get delayed till 2015. But what has me puzzled is that the dev said this- We're gonna run at 30 because 24 fps does not feel good to play.

People are ridiculous. Amazon once overcharged me $600 on a $400 item (full on bill to credit card of $1000) and all I did was call them and have them fix it.

It's been 2pm PST pretty much on the dot for almost a year now, barring the time they got delayed a day. It certainly hasn't been 'random' at all.

 
Same fuckin' games on sale every week.

Might investigate Master Reboot, but I don't like spending $7.50 on games that aren't on the top of my want list.

If Ragnorak Tactics was on sale for $9.99 I'd buy it in a heartbeat.   However, it's a price drop so... I guess I can wait and use it for filler for a spend X/get Y sale.

I put aside money for Monster Monpiece ages ago, because I wanted to support card battle games on vita.  It's now here, at a decent price (though no discount, boo) and... I can't pull the trigger because I'm a cag and want to wait for a sale.  Damn it.

Army Corps of Hell is pretty fun, but it looks like the plat might be a grind (need materials to create all weapons; I've beat the game and done every other 'hard'-ish trophy already).
