Not really sure then, I've had all that stuff downloaded the minute it came out so I can't really try any. But I definitely got all the PS4 stuff even when I didn't own the console, through the website, so must be a problem somewhere.

Edit: So it let you get Stick it to the Man? That's PS4 too.

Worked this time. Weird.

Velocity Ultra still isn't free though. What happened?

Edit: Oh, it got removed May 27th according to Wiki. The OP just isn't updated. Gotcha.

Pretty sure Velocity was taken off already as a free title. Week before last maybe? Can't remember exactly.

Edit: Yeah it says on the blog 'Last Chance: Leaving on 5/27" regarding Velocity.

Was the Sly Collection free (glitch or PS+)  at any point in the past couple of years? 

I downloaded the three individual timed trials in anticipation of a free Vita version, like God Of War Collection, but now the full PS3 version of Sly Collection is showing available for download even though I don't see it in my history.

Am I just late to the party and somehow missed this one, did I forget it was fee or is it a glitch due to the timed trials?

Oops. Sorry about that. Removed VU. Can't wait for this new IGC so I don't have a million games to keep track of at once. :p

 
I beat rage on hard and then went back and played through 100% on normal. wow. You feel godlike with pop rockets and blade boomeranging everyone. I even got the Scorcher dlc that I need to play someday...oooh and setting down 2 spiderbots and turrets, those were awesome. I remember it took like 90% of the game just to get to the awesome armored
real badguys where you needed to headshot them and use special ammo and weapons.

I missed the 1st recipe collectible in the first few hours of the game and didn't know til I almost beat it so I had to do a whole new playthrough. I hate missable collectables.

From what I have been reading, the Vita Collection is not Cross Buy so no go either way sadly.

 
I'm not sure if this would be of interest to anyone here, but I've started a new series for my Youtube channel called Horror Chicken. If you remember me talking about my disinterest in horror games because I can't stand be scared, this series is about testing that with the few horror games I've gotten for free thanks to Origin, PS+, and maybe even XBL Games with Gold. The first video from last week was Dead Space for the PC, so I'd appreciate anybody that checks it out and lets me know if they like it or not. I just finished recording a new video for this week that is the first foray into PS+ titles with one of the classics on PS1.

The first game was free for PS+. If you download the Full Game Trials, they appear as purchased since you have access to the full game for the first hour and would have to start them up to get them to expire, which is why I don't suggest grabbing them all at once since you cannot purchase the games normally until the Trial is up.

People who love collecting loot love Borderlands. I've never played Rage, does it have loot with differing stats or is it all standard weapons? If it's the latter there's your answer. I got bored partway through Borderlands 1 so I've never bothered trying 2.

Seeing as how the collection is split into three individual downloads when purchased that's probably what happened then. I didn't complete the trial downloads so none of the trials were ever started.

I've never seen his videos, so I didn't know about whatever he's been doing. Outlast is on the list, but I can't start with a showstopper. This week's video will be a bit different from the first.

I felt like the setting and gameplay was identical. I think that BL2 has better customization options/co-op, but Rage has better graphics. Also, having played Rage first (a year ago) and just playing BL2 now, the driving part of the game feels EXACTLY the same. Here's a couple of videos to show you guys what I'm talking about:

Ill check it out. I used to love scary movies as a kid but now I dont like to watch them. Just rather watch comedies or good dramas than waste time being scared. My wife calls me a pussy everytime I make her change the channel when a preview of a horror movie comes on. I still play scary games every now and then though like Dead Space.

No, you're absolutely right. Sold. I'll buy it as soon as I get that R&C Full Frontal plat, which will be as soon as my time lines up with someone here. So close, I have all the hard stuff already. I said it before, but I'll say it again -- i had a blast with this game. Don't understand why it got hate, i guess maybe because it's not a 'pure' R&C experience.

I'll be playing late tonight (10pm-2am ish PST) if any of you who offered to help get those coop trophies are around. 2 games are needed, shouldn't take more than 15 minutes total unless you need my help getting some of the harder dev trials yourself (i got all the dev time trials solo already).

Sell your 32g and upgrade to a 64g. If you time this right, you can make the switch for like $20. Once the 64 comes out in the US, 32g used prices will tank and it'll actually cost you more to switch.

If you're enjoying the game enough to get to 6-8, then yeah, the No Heroes Allowed mega pack is worth it. I have all but one trophy at this point (I'm in world 7 dark, and... it's really, really, really hard... ). I have all the collection trophies already, and I bet there's only a couple other people with them (fuck those trophies). The game itself is fun though. And dark world gets HARD.

Rage felt like Borderlands 1 to me. The game is there, and it's got signs of life, but it's missing its soul. Paperthin missions, empty world, empty game. Rage felt exactly the same to me.

Borderlands 2 found that soul -- it's everything the first one tried to be, but wasn't. Borderlands 2 was in contention for my GOTY the year it came out.

Oh, and online coop really helps BL2 shine. I just played with randoms till I found people I liked and then played with them the whole game. I occasionally did missions by myself if I missed something due to coop.

Oh, and tiny tina is awesome. I know some hate her, but I laughed and laughed and laughed.

It's not even about following it, like I said. It was pretty widespread news across the internet.

It's not really a plotline to spoil. It's a major villian in the Marvel universe that needed big screen treatment. It had to happen eventually. Just like Thanos. I suppose if it was 1986 it might be a major spoiler.

 
Other than for Frisky's updating the OP, is the new IGC plan a good thing for us?

I don't have a PS4 but I will at some point and those 2 free games will be welcome.

2 new PS3 and Vita games every month....does that work out to more or less games over the year?

It's kind of the same, just different. The loss of the evergreens is unfortunate but if they happen to put a more consistent quality of games up then it will work out.

Unless you're new to PS+, it's basically going to stay the same. Same amount of games spread out evenly over the course of the year instead of having peaks and valleys like before.

Well instead of being a third rate game and distant second in it's sport NBA 2K has been among the best sports games the last five years. Doesn't mean you'll like it any better but it's a lot better game at least.

PES sucked. Even trying to navigate the menus was a lesson in frustration.

The NBA 2K games are out of this world and on par with being the best sports game on the market alongside The Show. And this is coming from somebody who isn't even a basketball fan.

Most recent one I have is 2K12 on the PC. I rarely buy sports games every year because it seems like a waste of money that could be spent on other games. I came very close to buying 14 around the holidays but held up because of my backlog on Steam, Vita, and PS3. Glad I waited. :D

2K13 and 2K14 are almost 100% identical on current gen outside of the expected updates. 2K13 is automatically better because you don't have to see LeBaron constantly.

Doubtful. Seems like a lot of effort for Sony to put in for a system they've more or less left on life support.

I would imagine they're putting all their effort into PS Now and any other possible backwards compatibility they can squeeze out of the PS4.

I'd pick up Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga right now if I could play them on Vita.  If I can't play portably though, might as well just do what I've been doing and play them in Japanese to make playtime semi-productive.

Yeah, I always toy with the idea of grabbing PS2 games on sale here but I'll never touch them unless its on vita. Even if it was a year from now before implementation I'd still pick them up if there was a reasonable chance for them to be playable.
