Maybe I should start dragons dogma tonight. Or remember me. Will I hate those games?
Dragon's Dogma is fantastic and Remember Me is good enough. You could probably finish Remember Me in about 8 hours, but depending on how many side quests you do and if you playthrough the Dark Arisen xpac you will probably drop about 60-80 hours into Dragon's Dogma. It really depends how much time you feel like spending on the game, but I don't think you will regret playing either one.

Normally I have a hard rule about avoiding movies/shows that are older than me, but this is a rare exception.
I hope that's not true since, you know, the 70s are easily the best decade. At least for American cinema. That hipster enough for you? Just looked for Prisoner on Netflix, not there. Looks interesting, though.

im done with uncharted 3. theyre ignoring their own past history. sully just told nate to back off, that he's bitten off more than he can chew.
nate should be totaly cocky. hell he's blown up helicoters,a tank and killed an entire army.
now we're fighting some british guys? and another ruinedd castle in a jungle?
It's generally agreed upon that UC3's story is weak. At least in comparison to 2. Plotholes abound. That desert stage, though. Amazing.

Is most of the Mass Effect series DLC must-buy or do the games hold up well without the DLC? I have Mass Effect on the 360 but haven't played it yet. I've heard that the PS3 versions of Mass Effect 2 come with most of the DLC and due to that the PS3 version of the Trilogy comes with more content. I've been waiting for a good sale on the physical copy but this flash sale seems like a great time to pick up the games. And, I guess, the ME3 DLC as well.

I'm not worried about a PS4 remaster or anything because it will be a long time before I get a new system. My main problem is I don't have the HD space on my PS3. It will probably be a few weeks before I would be able to buy a bigger HD, though I'm not looking forward to having to redownload a lot of my games.

Would I be better off simply waiting for the physical copies of the ME Trilogy to drop in price? Or maybe even skip most of the DLC and get ME2 and ME3 for cheap on 360?

I hope that's not true since, you know, the 70s are easily the best decade. At least for American cinema. That hipster enough for you? Just looked for Prisoner on Netflix, not there. Looks interesting,
I say a lot of stuff to just say it, but that's actually true. I get a lot of crap for it, but it's personal preference. I make exceptions though. The Prisoner and Twilight Zone I can watch for days. Actually, if you want a hipster comment: In school, I took a few screenwriting classes, once of which required us to write a full length screenplay, and mine was based off a The Prisoner.

Also, Amazon has it on sale almost every Black Friday for pretty cheap.

I always find the inordinate amount of responses to a dissenting opinion weird. And, really, the guy didn't even say anything bad. We get it - the biggest assholes are exalted here. It's as if people are trying to convince everyone to feel the same. Feels like a cult.
There are so many different cuts of regulars that are held in high regard here, many of whom never speak a harsh word to anyone. I still don't understand where you get the whole "no one can have different opinions" bullshit. You can think I'm an asshole if you want but I was responding to the guy based on a handful of posts, not just the one. And I was the only one that said anything so what's inordinate about that?

I really don't watch old movies either. Prior to the 70s (I was born in 79), this is, I think, a complete list of the movies I've seen (excluding the big Disney cartoons):

60s:

Sound of Music (not by choice)

Psycho (same)

2001: A Space Oddyssey

Romeo and Juliet (class)

50s:

Old Yeller

40s:

It's A Wonderful Life

30s:

Wizard of Oz

I looked through the top 100 movies of each decade using this page to see which I'd seen: http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/movie-pages/movie_30s.html

It's possible I missed one or two, but this sounds about right.

Rogue Legacy is so good and I highly recommend picking it up on Vita when it comes out. It's not quite Spelunky but it scratches a similar itch.

The trilogy itself has come down in price a bit but physical copies have not gone on sale very often and have been pretty steady at $30 for some time. The DLC seems to be consistently recommended and I'l just hesitating over a PS4 version.

Got the Wolfenstein plat. The game was surprisingly good, though I have no desire to hold onto it any longer.

I found a used copy of Murdered: Soul Suspect :)ps4:) at a local GS, so I started that in the hopes of platting then returning it within a week since I heard it's short.

Everyone see how the NBA is fixing the Finals now? Crank the heat up to 90 so LeBaron can't play and the Spurs win game 1 then LeBaron gets to rise like a glorious phoenix from the ashes in a shower of talc powder. Ironic though that LeBaron can't take the Heat.

Did you do the glitch and get it to work or get it legitimately?

This. Did the glitch work?

Yeah, I got the glitch to work. Come on, guys--I don't have time to tear out my hair playing through the whole game on Uber.

*begins Christmas list for this year* :joystick:

Pretty much all of those PS4/Vita games are already out on Steam. I am looking foward to Shadow Warrior very much though, I couldnt run that game on my laptop for shit.

Little off topic but since you guys are experts-Do any of you know how much HD space you need to download and install DC Universe online?
I apologize if anyone else answered this, but the initial download off PSN is only like 100 megs (I think), the rest of it comes when you launch the game, and it gets patched. If I'm wrong, I apologize, but this is going by what I remember. And, Rainbow Moon has been on sale before, but never this cheap. I think it was $12 for each version last time it was on sale.

1) Y'all ever seen Demon's Souls cheaper than $10 on PSN? (I don't care about having a physical copy; I'd just like to try playing through it having resharpened my skills on Dark Souls.)

2a) Rainbow Moon isn't part of the Flash sale, correct?

2b) Rainbow Moon is worth buying and adding to a backlog given that I have really enjoyed Tactics-style games in the past, yes?

I wasn't singling you out and definitely don't think you are an asshole. As far as I can tell no one has said anything bad about Jay & Silent_Tyler ( :D pls get it). He made an offhanded remark about people constantly bringing them up. You just seem bothered that everyone isn't lamenting their absence. I hope their bans end but I just as equally want these new people to stick around. You might have scared them away with that last sermon.

I'm not going down that road about opinions again since I won't convince you. We must be in different threads. It has been calmer recently. Hopefully it remains that way during E3.

Just rent it from your local library.

That's what I did anyways.
This is exactly what I'm going to do. Thanks.

I don't just indiscriminately watch old shit, lol. Not that pretentious. I'm talking about legitimately good movies. By your standards you are excluding stuff like The Godfather. The only stuff I find hard to watch is older sci-fi. Often the effects didn't age well. Space Odyssey bored me to fuck ing death. No shame in admitting it.

It actually is 12. He's got 2 Need for Speed games on one line:

NFS: Hot Pursuit / Most Wanted
Actually, Demon/Dark was meant to be on one line too. Splitting up D*Souls and NFS seemed arbitrary and pointless. But I couldn't just make it a franchise list because certain games (like Borderlands 1) didn't deserve to be on it.

If somebody praises TLOU based on how it controls, they are devoid of reason. Same for the online. It has potential, the PS3 just didn't live up to it.
I absolutely love how it controls, and the online is amazing. I think games with picture perfect aiming feel unrealistic and, while they can be fun, generally prefer games where aiming is intentionally imperfect. A turn based example would be Valkyria Chronicles, where you know your bullet will fall somewhere within an aim circle, but don't know exactly where. You can see the difference once you're leveled up in TLOU and the game becomes headshot city (though i suppose this depends on skill level) -- I much preferred early on in the game where every bullet counted when shooting at an enemy running towards me.

I can totally understand disliking a game which has 'shaky aim' mechanics, but I'll take that over run and gun any day of the week (assuming the shaky aim is well implemented, obviously, which it is in TLOU).

I don't like agreeing with breakfuss, I feel like i'm just doing it to take a different side. Just yesterday I found myself agreeing with slidecage too. Something is wrong with me.

That said, I do agree with him. This thread is too mean spirited sometimes. I mean, hell, just read the post above I responded to where anyone who likes a certain games controls is 'devoid of reason'. C'mon. We're all gamers, and we like games. No need to try to out asshole each other.

All things PS plus. DMC, binary domain, NFS, ICO, saints row,
(War in the north? How old is that. Eh, later)
Maybe I'll start that Sam and max game. I don't feel up to anything strenuous tonight.
Man Remember Me's combat is not that bad. It's not as good as batman but you have customizable combos and sometimes you may put in an ineffective order, which will lessen your experience if you never fool around to find the combo you like. I am not saying it should have won any awards, but I really don't think it is as bad as people are making it out to be. I probably had more fun playing that then I did DMC, (even though DMC is beautiful.) But if Remember Me isn't an option, Saints Row the Third is a blast to play, especially if you have a friend that can play coop with you for the whole campaign. My friend and I platted it together, which I thought was a pretty cool experience.

Affa how are you ever going to break into the top 10 in posts if you use multiquotes...

Great. Brother @Top is bringing the kool aid so we should be set. See you on the other side. Endless streams of virgins and trophies await.
Don't worry I got plenty of Nikes for everybody. Jay donated his shoe collection to the cult. I hope TopsideKracker brings a good flavor like grape or cherry.

Well breakfuss, Cheers this  for you!
