Great freaking price on TLoU:R. I absolutely loved the MP. I completed both MP faction journeys and enjoyed every second of it. I've only played the SP for probably no longer than an hour. Need to get on it one day and plat the game since I've already done MP stuff.

Mine shows purchased, but I've seen it show a price for stuff I own on rare occasions before. IIRC, it won't let me add to cart, though, and will say something like 'you do not have permission to purchase this product' or something like that.

Check your email and verify you bought it. Assuming you did, it should fix itself soon.

The online community is so small (about 1/5 BF4's on PS4), and likely to get even smaller when BF1 releases that you're probably not missing much. DLC maps tend to get much less play as it is. Plus, BF4's DLC went free a second time so they'll probably do the same with Hardline.

Yeah, that was me. I played TLoU on PS3 and bought Left Behind for PS4 for I think around $5 on sale, thinking it unnecessary to pay more for the total package since I still have the original TLoU.

But for anybody that cares about trophies, what I didn't know is that the trophies for Left Behind are not a separate set. I now have the full list of PS4 TLoU trophies with no ability to obtain them. Unless I buy TLoU PS4. Which would make my original purchase of Left Behind pointless. Ugh. I don't care enuff about it to buy it at the moment, but if TLoU hits $5, I'll bite.

I'd imagine Telltale batman season pass will eventually be cheap (like $5) and probably PS+ after that. I personally will wait. Plus I don't really like to wait between episodes for games like that anyway since it's more fun to me to play through an entire game.

 
Kinda regretting not grabbing Dragon Age Inquisition DLC last week, though I'm fairly certain either they or the GOTY will go on sale again at some point, possibly cheaper. Just wasn't sure I was ready to jump back in after JUST finishing the vanilla game and starting another game already.

Debating on The Last of Us. I've only had my PS4 for a month now, it'd be my first PS exclusive since the PS2 days. My biggest issue with that though is that while it's way cheaper on PSN than Amazon, my internet isn't the best and the download might take forever. Plus for whatever reason I have my mind set on buying physical discs only due to that same reason, otherwise I might've bought AC Syndicate last week as well.

I will probably get hate for this but... I think the last of us is overrated. There I said it.

Honestly I havent finished it yet but I'm a few hours in and I got bored and havent gone back to it. The story is really similar to the tell tale walking dead first season. I havent finished the game but based on what I've seen I could probably give a rough outline of the rest of it. Unless it just goes in a completely wacky direction. It seems to be a pretty standard story line. Not bad but nothing new either.

I also cant speak about the multiplayer so that may be a saving grace for many as I hear it's good.

Everyone claims its one of the best stories out there but I havent seen anything earthshaking or new yet.

For me it had nothing to do with being earthshaking, as the story is fairly derivative of a number of movies and other games. It's just the quality at which it presents it and the immersion created by top notch graphics and voice acting. I started it when it came out on PS3, put a few hours in and it just fell by the wayside until they announced the PS4 version so I made it a point to restart it when that came out and stuck with it. Man am I glad I did. Obviously not everyone is going to like any game universally so I respect your opinion but I'm definitely in the camp that believes it's in the top 5 this gen.

You aren't wrong. I put some hours into it and never went back. The story is something I've seen a million times before, the gameplay is nothing special and the experience is incredibly controlled. You can't even run without the game giving you the okay.

For me Last of Us had great atmosphere and fairly broken gameplay. The stealth components were weak, with characters running directly in front of the Infected yet if I so much as had a hair fall off Joel's head while sneaking up from behind them, they were all over me. Once you realized the game wasn't as punishing on items as it seemed, you could go Rambo in most cases and kill them off before looting them for more ammo than you used. I had my fill after playing through it twice and my hope is they'll refine the stealth and combat a bit for a sophomore attempt.

Which is why I wouldn't want to pay for any of it. For $4 though I can probably get some enjoyment out of the game. The rolling CP mode with the vans was a lot of fun in the beta.

Debating on The Last of Us. I've only had my PS4 for a month now, it'd be my first PS exclusive since the PS2 days. My biggest issue with that though is that while it's way cheaper on PSN than Amazon, my internet isn't the best and the download might take forever. Plus for whatever reason I have my mind set on buying physical discs only due to that same reason, otherwise I might've bought AC Syndicate last week as well.

Sorry, but no. Unless the gameplay drastically changes 10 hours in (it doesn't) I'd say my criticisms are completely fair. I did play a decent amount of it which means I do have something to base my opinion off of, so again, sorry but you're wrong.

Also I know the whole story, and the writers definitely watched 28 Weeks Later among other similar movies.

But hey, some people love ladder puzzles more than others.

Honestly I havent finished it yet but I'm a few hours in and I got bored and havent gone back to it. The story is really similar to the tell tale walking dead first season. I havent finished the game but based on what I've seen I could probably give a rough outline of the rest of it. Unless it just goes in a completely wacky direction. It seems to be a pretty standard story line. Not bad but nothing new either.

I also cant speak about the multiplayer so that may be a saving grace for many as I hear it's good.

Everyone claims its one of the best stories out there but I havent seen anything earthshaking or new yet.

It's a masterpiece. But even a masterpiece won't resonate with everyone. It's not 'overrated', it's just not for you. You also haven't experienced how it excels at character growth and bonding, since you haven't gotten anywhere yet. And the ending is magnificent.

To those saying it owes something to other stories, well of course. Every narrative owes something to narratives that came before. Big deal. It's not a negative, it's a fact of life.

And that multiplayer... years later, and I still play every night.

The game was great, but it definitely has flaws. It's easy to see those flaws relatively early on, too.

That being said, there are a lot of people who don't know how to enjoy stuff without trying to feel like they have to pick it apart and validate why it's good enough and I do feel sorry for those people. I'm not accusing anyone of that here since they may have valid opinions, but I definitely see that with a lot of media. It's ok to like stuff even though it has lots of flaws.
