They just showed up? Is this something Sony is gradually rolling out? I'm loving Vue as well but I miss having the local news on in the background when I'm getting ready for work in the morning or cooking dinner in the evening.

 
Seems from the comments I should consider switching from Sling to Vue. My only concern is I only have a PS4 and PS3, both which hardly get used already. Neither located in the bedroom. Is it possible to stream Vue from the PS4 using the PC app? I really don't want to buy more streaming boxes to be able to use this, I'll just use Kodi/Exodus and continue using Sling with HBO if that's the case. Vue does have local channels and more channels I'd watch, wish they had an option for HBO too. The more I think about it the more I want to switch to Vue.

Golden Week the holiday in Japan usually coincides with a PSN sale usually on japanese games like the Atelier Plus games and such. I usually buy the newest Atelier Plus games since they are usually 50% off.

One of the things they do is called a Golden Shower because they're "showering" us with deals.

Some people get pissed on though if the games they want aren't on sale.

But if you like relatively obscure games at cheap prices, yourein for a treat.

Yep, they've only been there for a day or two so they must have just added them quietly. Checked the website and they're in the packages now as well. Hopefully they don't decide to raise the price $5 once they add ABC like it is in the original areas that had the local channels, or at least keep us grandfathered at the current prices. Either way I would still stay signed up even though I don't actually need them on the main TV that has an antenna and good reception.

The Rocket League devs are pretty classy for giving this away for free. I am a big fan of having all cosmetic items being the only dlc. In the dark world of paid dlc we live in today, only a few devs are our shining light.

First time I used Vue on a PS3/PS4 since yesterday and when I started it there was a splash screen saying that FOX, NBC, and CBS were available in the area now. They had said that they intended live local streaming for all eventually but launched without it so they could go wide faster.

Can you watch Limitless? The complete last season of Elementary? If yes and yes, i'll pick it up... CBS is my only missing station since i cut cable and there are a few shows I'd like to catch up on.

Well I just have the On Demand versions of the local stations but I haven't really tried them out so I'm not sure what they consist of.

Awesome. I tried using an antenna for local stations but I live in a somewhat rural mountainous area so it doesn't really work.

I'm curious with whatever the flash sale ends up being.  If it's bad then cool, if it's great then awesome.  I don't mind saving money due to a bad/non-applicable sale.   But to me great sales are few and far in between not because of prices but just because my digital library is pretty awesome already.

Seems like we are due for a blow out under $1 sale like last year.

I'm the same way, I own most of the great games this gem, so even if gta5!were 19.99 or transistor were 99 cents I can't buy them again!

I would be interested in games that I wouldn't think of spending money on, like resident evil 6 if it's dirt cheap

I'm going to go ahead and say no hyperbole that is one of the best licensed games ever, it got bad reviews from people who just didn't appreciate how much they nailed the atmosphere and tension

If you like alien buy it!

I'm the same way with the 3DS. No sale is a good sale for me, because I already have almost every 3DS game I'm interested in.

Took me a couple hours to get in to it, but I agree. GREAT game, and definitely worth it at that price. It's also really fun watching Alien, playing this, then watching Aliens.

I have the physical copy of the Nostromo Edition on XB1, but I REALLY want the physical on PS4 as well. Now they go and offer the complete package digitally at this price.

They last for two weeks, so I doubt it. Plus, there are a bunch of games that have been going on sale for the past few weeks that would've been a waste of options if they weren't going to be in a sale like that.

The Evil Within is Bethsda, not Sega.

 
Has anyone here used PS Vue with Fire TV (not the Fire TV Stick)?  To put PS Vue in a second room, I'm trying to decide whether the Fire TV is a good bet or whether I should spring for the extra ~$200 and just get a second PS4.  As far as I can tell with some cursory googling, the Fire TV doesn't have an internal hard drive, so the price gets closer when factoring in the cost of an external hard drive.
