I had a strong feeling if I waited to buy Overwatch I could have put it towards this deal at E3, but my time with Overwatch has been worth buying it at release.

I don't think I'll reach $100. So far I'm only sold on Dragon Age for $6.00. I'll check out the Resident Evil 7 demo tonight. Next week's sale will sneak in to the deal for half a day, and hopefully the flash sale will be this weekend.

If I spend $40 on sales I might buy a pre-order to basically make it $15 off. If not Resident Evil 7 then maybe South Park. Though South Park is an Ubisoft game, so it will probably be $20 off somewhere after a month or two.

I'm guessing we'll get another Spend $100 offer in October, so I can hold off on pre-orders.

 
It's a lot harder to do these spend $100 promos since they almost never last more than a week anymore.

Since we have best of E3 now I don't think we'll get a flash sale until next weekend.

Scholar of the First Sin for PS3 is basically a GOTY edition for DS2, as it is the base game + the 3 DLC packs, and works with vanilla DS2 saves (so if you finished a playthrough and sold off the PS3 version you can rebuy this version to play the DLC on your original save). The keys to access the DLC areas are given to you at the start and you can enter them whenever you want, though they are quite tough so it is best to save them for late in your playthrough.

Scholar of the First Sin for PS4 is a remastered and remixed version with better visuals, 60 FPS, and altered item and enemy placements. It fully integrates the DLC into the game by hiding the keys to the DLC areas in chests in the game world.

I can only vouch for the PS4 version, but there is a mechanic where you can sneak past bad guys and attack from behind and get initiative in the turn based portion. Maybe it is easier to see and maneuver on the big screen.

Literally all these games are on sale and their "gold editions" for $5-8 bucks more...but the season pass is still $30-50.

Absolutely no reason to buy ubisoft games at launch... complete games are 50% in 6 months and their buggy on launch day.

Anyone think Megadimension would get any cheaper?  I don't keep up with pricing for their previous games.  But I bought Omega Quintet the last time it was on sale for $10 and of course I didn't play it.  Now it is $4 so I should have just waited...

Does ps+ renewel count towards get $15 for spending $100?

My ps+ membership ended on 6/13 so on 6/13 i set my membership to auto renew so it technically took $49.99 from my psn credit on 6/13.

Now does the $49.99 psn credit used count towards the spend $100 get $15 back?

I would honestly recommend you try an earlier 1....maybe rebirth 1 to get to know the characters and such. I believe the game is a direct sequel to Nepunia V, as it's not Neptunia 7 it's Neptunia V-II.

Probably, but not for a good while. It'll probably get a price cut somewhere around the holiday season, then see a sale for $7.50-$10 next Golden Week or so.

tempting! but you know that shit will be under 20 eventually

maybe if some gift card deals pop up i'll for it and the 15 back from 100 deal to justify getting it

Akiba's Trip or Omega Quintet? Which is better for the Japanophiles? Keep in mind that I have no intention of re-upping my PlayStation Plus at the moment since I never download the "rentals."
 
I might bite on 1886... man, I was so hyped for that game before release. And then the bad news just kept coming just before release (short game, more movie than game, etc.).

Akiba's Trip easily. Omega Quintet feels very generic. While the battle system in Akiba's Trip isn't amazing, the Akihabara scenery is great. I also like those characters more. I thought it was fun, while Omega Quintet felt more of the same CH generic game. Just my 2 cents of course, and Omega Quintet is very cheap...

 
A lot of good deals this week. I might get Tomb Raider for $5 since that is usually my buying point. dark souls 2 was tempting, but I can get it for about that much physical.

I bought the game when I got my PS4 last fall....same thing, thought it looked great, didn't believe the reviews. No, it's a turd. Such a shame because the theme/aesthetics/visuals/overall story are very cool, but the gameplay is awful.

Buy it at that price.

SHORT game, the movie in the game is almost as long.. But the gameplay is good. "Stealth" part needs work but the rest is good.

I enjoyed it at $20. The game is beautiful, the weapons are cool. There are a couple silly quicktime event 'boss' battles, but they're short and easy. The story is short, but mostly that's because there isn't a lot of filter -- you're never really running between areas for no reason, and there aren't '3 battles in row', just a single battle and then the next scene. It's lean and mean in that regard. The weapons and combat are cool, though the few combat arenas aren't particularly amazing or anything.

All in all, it's a solid game. Not worthy of the hate spewed upon it. Games like Legendary and Homefront were godawful and got better reviews... The Order is extremely competent at what it does, it's just short.

 
What's the deal with Shadow of Mordor season pass vs GOTY? I've got the regular edition disc and I think you can't use the save for the GOTY, is that right? But then it'd just be $3.74 to get the game, but would the content be unlocked anyway?
 
Can someone give me the rundown on RE and RE0?  I've played several of the later REs and enjoyed them [and survival horror in general] but could never handle the tank controls in the early ones.  Are these basically modern remakes of those?  Or just remasters?  Tank controls?

They added a "modern" control scheme where you move in the direction of the analog stick, but I'm not sure how that works combined with the static camera angles.

It's worth it for the current price. The game looks beautiful, plays well enough and it's an easy platinum. My only real issue was the length but for $6 you can't go wrong if it's piqued your interest at all in the past.

Also, Ni No Kuni for $8 is a steal. Surprised nobody has mentioned it yet.
