To be on topicish: Rocket League. Does the actual car I choose affect anything? Different hit boxes or anything?

Short answer: no, it doesn't.

Long answer: the absolutely minute differences in hitboxes will likely only be important to the absolute best players that are able to pull off flying rotating super upside-down air attacks w/o breaking a sweat... and maybe not even them. For the 99.9%, hitbox matters not at all, though if you really want to pretend it does for you just pick a flat top car.

WD Season 2 was on sale just a few weeks ago. And, of course, I bought it. Magika 2 will make up for it since I've been kind of wanting that one. Another month with no Knack, I guess...

Figured that was probably the case since the smallest cars seem to collide with the ball outside of the physical model in replays. Guess everyone would be driving the van if it let you hit higher balls.

 
kinda confused about Resident Evil 1 on ps4 for $11.99. I was waiting on the ps4 Origins collection but it looks like that will only have RE 1 and 0. Also, RE 0 will only be $20 on psn according to gamespot. so i guess buying 1 now and getting 0 as a download is actually a better deal than buying it on disc down the road. what do you guys think?

Eventually the price of the physical copy will drop, but the digital version will probably go on sale as well, so buy whichever one is cheaper at the time you want it. If you wanna play RE1 now I'd say just go digital and enjoy it now on sale. The argument for physical will always be that a) doesn't take up space on your hdd, and b) you can sell it later if you don't want it anymore.

a) is mute now, since all games install anyway. you could probably replace it with large download sizes and times (depending on your setup)

yeah, i'd rather play it now so i went with REmake digital. also forgot that i have RE 5 digital from when it was free for ps+ :p

 
I'm at $50.93 and can't figure out what else to buy for PSN promo  :wall: I wish there wasn't a promo so I can just stop there since I would have bought that stuff regardless. I'm halfway there so I might as well go all the way. Not much to get though.

Trails in the sky's 2nd English game came out yesterday 10/29.
They have a sale for the first one to promote the second game.

Have it on PC but I'll have to wait for a sale. It was $30 on Gog launch day.
I'd get it on ps4 if it were an option but it's psp+vita.
Even the first game I'd double dip at $10 if it were ps4 just for the larger screen, controller and remote play on vita/tablet while "multitasking" (watching tv).

I've only spent $30 but I'm really considering doing it now.

Was thinking if I bought Volume, Driveclub, and Rocket League DLC that would put me at about $74. Was thinking about the Driveclub Bikes but I guess that's just 12 bikes and nothing else? Not sure if that's worth it at all. Then I'm at the same point where it's like well what else would I buy? The terrible sales have made this much more complicated.

Only thing I can think is maybe get Trails SC since that would put me right over and consider the $15 back as a half off discount on it since I'm OK buying the other stuff at it's current prices anyway.

Yep, only 12 bikes. That's one of the things I bought since I have no motorcycle games except Motorcycle Club which is probably a top 5 worst PS4 game. I know I'll get my monies worth and I know it'll be good.

Sword Coast Legends look good but don't know when it will release. Axiom Verge is a possibility since that's something will rarely ever be on sale.

Trying to go through everything, at least I have until Tuesday.

edit- that Volume looks good, never heard of it until you mentioned it.

Based on the PC version it's not.

Yeah, maybe we'll get something good on Tuesday but I figure we've got to know what we're buying or not by then and adjust if there's a worthwhile sale.

Yeah, it's supposed to be pretty good. Was going to get it on Steam during a recent sale but then I saw it was on PS4 as well and it's on sale until Tuesday I believe.

I think the only way to really get around it is just pausing the update when it starts and then just leaving it alone until you have checked out the update and want to download it. I think you may be able to just set it as paused and it will just stay paused if you exit and start the game back up again (can't check that currently or I would). Not exactly the best option but it might be something

A lot of the options in Automatic Downloads have to do with rest mode but I think all turning it off does for non-rest is that it only keeps it from updating applications you don't open.

I cant believe you cant actually turn this junk off or at the very least have it ASK you if you want to patch. I really hate automatic stuff you cant change. I guess i should be happy that it at least lets you pause and delete it though and doesn't just do it automatically and install it without letting you stop it at all

Maybe i'll wait a bit and see if anythings announced because i would want to get the complete version if theres one at all. In fact i hope there is because i dont buy digital. Played a bit of Driveclub Bikes last night and enjoyed it in first-person mode for the time trial stuff, though I'm not sure how that will work out in a race.
