Trying to decide if I should activate KQ episode 1 or not. Seems like the complete collection contains an epilogue that you don't get if you get episode 1 and then the 2-5 season pass. And my guess is that you might not be able to buy the complete collection if you already own episode 1, thus not being able to ever get the epilogue.
Someone on reddit confirmed that after buying the first episode of King's Quest (not from PS+, but from before) they were still able to buy the complete collection, not just the season pass.

Rocket League will win indie goty.
It's a great game but Ori deserves it more IMO. Best platformer I've played in years. Gorgeous artwork, fantastic score and gameplay to match its beauty. Not to mention an emotional hook like few other games can pull off.

As I said, I'd even put it above the AAA games nominated for overall GoTY.

Rocket League is in other categories like best multiplayer, which in the face of the usual shooters, I'd love to see it get that.

It's not on PSN nor is it on sale, so I didn't put it on the list.
I guess I'll install the full game trial and buy it that way. Perplexing indeed.

5bux and then extra grindbux DLC purchases for Run Like Hell. Kill yourselves. That's horrible.

Run Like Hell is a solid endless runner on fucking mobile where it's cheaper than dirt. You didn't buy a Vita because you wanted to play mobile games at twice the price. (Hell, you didn't buy a Vita because you wanted to play ANY games.)

It was on sale twice this year: in February for $10, and in August for $7.75. No real way to know whether it'll be on sale in the next few weeks unless the publisher gives a heads up, but it's possible!
Thanks for the info. Looks like I just missed a sweet deal on it too. Would have loved it for $7.75. Might just have to go PC on it then.

I just had a brief period of excitement.  I clicked on Minecraft PS4 on the web store to see if it was $5 and the download button was there.  I don't remember buying Minecraft for PS3/V/4 so it must be a glitch!

It downloaded successfully....and it was the demo. Well, it was fun while it lasted.

I didn't mess around with it too much, but I recently got the HJC and started BL2 and I don't recall seeing something to transfer my save from the PS3, but I did notice I still had all my Shift Keys and I had a ton of BadAss points. I'll have to look into again later.

I don't mind playing through both completely because I want the trophies, although it was nice to see how my GTA Online trophies from PS3 automatically popped when I transferred my character on PS4.
Yeah, I searched it on google but I only found older posts. I was just wondering if they updated it so it could do it automatically or something. Guess you do have to do the cross save thingy the Gearbox blog posted. You can transfer your data as long as it's the same console family, meaning ps3 to ps4 works. It just takes so long to level up in Borderlands if you don't have all the time in the world to play, I'm already level 64 in BL2, so I'm not willing to start all over again.

Nice to hear some games do it automatically though. Too bad I'm not into GTA :(

I just upgraded my hard drive so I'm installing all my games and I did look at BL2 and did not see an option to transfer the character or save data. I haven't looked into the Gearbox thing you mentioned, but does it require the original game? I have BL2 downloaded, but I sold my copy of BPS.

No, I think as long as you have the game you should be good.

You can follow this http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/community/articles/1338/cross-save-in-borderlands-the-handsome-collection

I think it should work, I'm going to try it myself in a while.

Ok thanks. Still seems silly to give part of a game that requires me to buy the complete collection if I want the epilogue. I think that's a pretty shitty move by Activision/Sierra to essentially make Ep 1 + Season pass not as good as the complete collection.

Also pretty shitty of Sony to give just one chapter with Plus.

I assume the "Disney Day" deals don't expire today but are part of the normal weekly sales lasting through next Monday? They should've called it "Disney Deals" rather than "Disney Day" deals. To me "Day" implies 1 day.

You can still buy the bundle if you buy episode 1. When you search for the complete bundle no add the cart button appears, but if you go to the item page and select "choose a version" you can add it to your cart.

"This price is only available from 12/1/15 02:00 pm to 12/8/2015 01:00 pm"

Sad that Taito decided to release Dariusburst Chronicles digitally only at a full MSRP of 39.99.  I'd have gotten the game physically for close to that price, but as a digital only, no way would I pay 40 bones for it.

I really want Persona 3 Portable (a reason I got a PS TV was to play the Persona games) but... is 25% off about as good as it gets or will there likely be a better deal in the near future? Anyone know how Atlus/Persona/PSP sales patterns bave been? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

online is great. yeah, all patched up too.

True. I'm on like mission 3 (who plays BF SP anyway, i've never finished one before i get MP addicted) and have fallen through boats and other fun glitches. but whatever, the MP is solid now from all accounts
I buy all games for Campaign first...

There have been better, but lately the Atlus sales haven't been great -- certain games, like the Sting rpgs and Personas seem to not be having as good of sales as normal [except p4g, which just had it's best sale recently]. I'd wait, unless you want to play one right now.

I buy all games for campaign first.... except Battlefield.

That said, the 3 chapters I've played so far are actually quite good. i've just noticed some glitches -- like the end of one mission is getting on a evac boat, and after I got on the boat left and I sunk down in the water. But whatever, the game itself is solid and the mp is proving to be really good.

If the deals don't end with the next update, I list the end date, if known, at the end for those outliers.

Actually, they should have called it Walt Disney Day Deals that Last a Week, because it's celebrating Disney Day, but lasts a week, and I was confused at first because I have a friend named Todd Disney and I had to call him to make sure it wasn't his day. It wasn't. Actually, he was having a shitty day, and I had to hear all about it. Thanks Sony. Arrogant fucks.

There's going to be a physical release for Vita in Japan. It's currently 49.99 from play-asia.

Thanks, I just checked it out and was able to use my PS3 character in BL2. Can't do that for The Pre-Sequel though because I sold my disc and can't download my character :(

I like how you can send characters from PS3/Vita/PS4 with no problem though.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/12/02/amplitude-blasts-onto-ps4-january-5th/

Amplitude is will be out on January 5 for $19.99. December 23 for backers like me that backed at a high enough tier for early access. People at PSX that play it will get a code for a special dynamic theme along with a themed PSX trading card.

New trailer for Drinkbox Studios' new game Severed:

The blog post makes it sound like it shouldn't be too long before it's out with the way they say they're finishing up development.

Atlus has a new game called The Deadly Tower of Monsters coming to PS4 on January 19 for $14.99:

arent all persona games already playable on tv except the "remakes"?

Just got a PSN notification saying I was accepted into the Doom closed alpha starting tomorrow?
I guess that means i'll be able to use my Wolfenstein Doom beta code in about 6 to 12 months from now. :) I figured it would be awhile before I could use it, but Wolfenstein came out May of 2014. Yes, May 2014 and they were advertising that code well in advance of the release of the game. I'm not upset or anything. I just think it's funny.

You didn't just redeem it on PSN like the rest of us?

Also pretty shitty of Sony to give just one chapter with Plus.
Sony does this in an attempt to get gamers to buy DLC in general, makes sense they want you to buy a season pass for episodic content. Kind of like drug dealers giving samples to get you to buy more (just a terrible analogy but it is true).

And yet they didn't do this with Walking Dead. This is solely on Activision.

Speaking of Telltale they're apparently following they're release schedule and the second episode is only coming out this month. So I guess that's also a factor.

I think people forget no single game is in a vacuum. For example, Sony may have wanted to get Activision to put SuperAwesomeGame on PS+. They negotiate. Activision finally offers them a package deal of games, and one is KQ E1 because they want to draw in new customers to the episodic content. In exchange for that, and $, they agree to put up the games Sony was fighting for.

Obviously, this is just a made up scenario, but it's a perfectly valid one. Long story short, it's unfair to look at one game in a vacuum if we're not privy to the inner working of how that game ended up on ps+.

Are any of the Disney games worth picking up?  I have small children now, and some of the games look fun.  I enjoyed Toy Story 3 on PS3, but I haven't tried any of the others.  Thanks!

Toys Story 3 and Cars 2 are probably the best of the lot. Bought Phineas and Ferb a while back because it was supposed to be solid but haven't gotten anywhere near trying it.

Split Second is a really good racer as well.
