Backlog hoarder?
36339861.jpg

How is Fight Night Champion? I haven't played a legit boxing game since Evander's Real Deal shit on the Genesis (lol) when I was a kid which I loved but at 5 bones I'm tempted just to say fuck it and try it out. Anybody played it that has any impressions?

Same here... I have bookshelves filled with physical games and way to many digital games.

I thought Dragon Age Origins...ooooh, I want that but I probably shouldn't as I have way too much of a backlog.

Then I realized I already own it on disc and played it until my PS3 burned out (and I didn't have cloud saves for it).

I also just realized as I'm typing that I own and never unwrapped the disc for Bulletstorm and bought Deathspank 2 (as I loved the first one) and never played that either.

When am I ever going to get to these games? Never. I will NEVER get to these games unless I just stop going to work for a year.

Ugh, and I bought my kids Disney Infinity 3 so there goes any chance of me playing games.
I wish they'd sell the Ultimate Edition/Complete online.. but I have the physical disc.... in a french case (Blame Canada)

I traded in Inquisition when GOTY edition was supposedly to go on sale.. and still have not re picked it back up.

$100 in PSN credit at a time does seem pretty high. I tend to keep $30 in the form of a $10 3-pk.

I heard Max Payne may be added to the PS4 library. What's the holdup for Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne?

I'm excited but I'm an idiot. I should not buy any more games at any price.

I have time to play Gems of War though.
I somehow played Gems of War for like 4.5 hours last night... didn't go to bed till 4:30am. I don't know what i was thinking. It's actually a pretty solid game, though. But even a solid match 3 rpg should not be getting that amount of time given my backlog has stuff like diablo 3 and witcher 3 in it that i'd probably rather be playing.

Added to the OP:

:ps3: Burnout Paradise - $4.95 - 67% Off - Ends 12/23
Do note, if you purchase this you will be locked out of buying the ultimate bundle with the DLC The DLC provides significant extra content (including an additional island which increases the size of the map by about 25%) so it is my recommendation if you are wanting to buy Burnout Paradise, to get the UE instead as it is on sale for $9.90.

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/burnout-paradise-ultimate-edition/cid=UP0006-NPUB30040_00-PS3ST_COMPLETEED

I checked my email and found a PSN coupon code. I'm looking at my purchase history and I don't know what justified me getting the code. Was it my purchase of Yakuza 5 or the Boondocks season sets? I haven't really ordered that much in the past few months.

If you don't already have it, I would then strongly recommend Puzzle Quest Challenge of the Warlords. There's a PS3 version (I have this one) and non-cross buy PSP/Vita version. Even better in my opinion. Same game idea with more variations (like Puzzle Boards-solve it in 5 moves to unlock some new bonus) Create new spell types and upgrade your character, your spell. If I recall correctly, it's a one vs one battle against monster but you and the monster can have multiple spells (instead of multiple characters). I think there's some PVP but maybe just on couch PVP. AND THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS INCLUDED FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE. No in app purchases and no running out of turns if you run out of money. And maybe you get to ride a spider in to battle. I love this game so much.

Puzzle Quest is in my top 10 of all time.

Gems of War doesn't have anything that limits how much you can play. It has a ton of content and it's free to play.

Don't you have to pay for each battle? 50 gold minimum, more for invasions? You can run out of gold in theory especially with buying towns and keys.

It boggles my mind that enough people buy a bird-dating game that they can afford to make a sequel.
Well it doesn't really cost a whole lot to make a visual novel compared to most genres. It also became that thing the entire internet latched on to it and made it the it thing a while back.

You do, but you make enough back through battles, quests, challenges, tasks, PVP, guilds, treasure hunts, daily login bonuses, kingdom bonuses, and the PS+ bundle that it shouldn't be an issue unless you are terrible at the game. I've never come close to running out.

Yeah, I always somehow have 10-15K in gold. It just bothers me that there's an option to spend real money to buy stuff to upgrade. It makes me feel there will be a point that it will be pay to be able to win. I'm great at the strategy but I've seen what happened to the Puzzle Quest Marvel (Android IAP model) game. I mean, there's something there that costs 99.99. I won't ever spend 0.01 on IAP like that. I just hope I can make it through the game without it.

Frisky, I'm guessing the Fantavision price is still unknown?

So I've picked Everybody's Gone to the Rapture to be my 48th completed game of the year (once I finish Sketchcross here shortly).  Then I'm going to undertake some massive JRPG.  The choosing of which will likely take every bit as long as playing said JRPG.

Initial thoughts go to FFX HD, FF13, KH 1.5, Xenosaga, Grandia, the variety of PS1 JRPGS I have in a box, Suikoden, Trails in the Sky FC (that's probably more than I can handle), and so on.  And that's just off the top of my head for PS platforms...

Ive been avoiding the PSP version because I remember hearing it had some game breaking glitch or something? Does anyone know about htat?

I don't know if's possible to run out of money. I donate a ton of gold to my guild and still feel wealthy at all times. It feels like you could speed things up if you spent money, but the 'default' rate of improvement feels really good.. i absolutely hate grind gates, but i haven't encountered anything that feels like one yet.

There are 4 games in the series.....

This does not include the updated ports and remakes.
I.. i dont even..

Hey all,

what's the cheapest PS Plus subscription out there right now? I know I missed Black Friday, was wondering if others are expected to drop anytime soon.

You didn't miss too much. Best deal I've see recently was $10 for 3 months through walmart. I'm hoping for a decent deal on a 1 year sub soon as well since mine expires in January

What... the... fuck...

Playing Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and played about 3 hours and it crashed on me.  Game's supposed to auto save but I'm back at the ever loving start?!? fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

So will the Holiday/New Year Flash Sale be mid week, or Friday/Christmas day?

Place your bets!
I just want it to be a dollar flash sale, but I know they won't do it. The holidays are guaranteed money so it will be all newer games for like 15% off.

I'd have to say mid-week is more likely. Staring a sale ON Christmas Day would be lame.
Why would it be lame? It's digital, so you'll get it right away. It's not like you'll miss the Christmas day deadline for gifts, presents or anything else.

That'd be a deal-breaker for me. So badly wanted to like this game but it's so goddamn slow. If the character could move as fast as the light trail things, it'd be much better.

And it's not like we will play it right away. It's going to be bought with few clicks and thrown into a digital pile.
