Of course it might be that I did not know he said that and figured it had been out long enough to maybe get a few dollars off? That's some really "out there" logic, isn't it? Not everyone kept track of the game intensely, and if I did I probably would have wanted the game enough to spend the full $20 on it or pre-order and get the $2 discount.

That said, I'm wondering why it is "screwing" people to put up a discount on a game that has been out several months? Early adopters pay more for the privilege of playing the game earlier. I certainly won't be moaning over a $2 discount, I just won't be buying - I have my buy price and it is significantly lower than that, if he wants my money (and others, the purpose of sales is to increase sales once the initial hype dies down, not "screw" early adopters) he will need to put it on sale. There are probably a lot of people that might be more interested in a retro style Metroid clone for a cheaper price. If he doesn't then that's his choice.

And a month or two "heads up" for a discount is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Way to kill your sales for a month or two. Why would anyone buy if they know exactly when it is going to be cheaper? There is a reason why businesses try to keep their Black Friday ads secret until the day before.
I know for a fact that I mentioned that around here several times before the pre-order/launch sale ended, much like the N++ stuff.

As for the heads up thing, people around here get upset if they buy a game for $1 and it goes free for PS+ six months later, so he wants to be as open as possible on small things like that.

Damn straight. It was basically his promise though that if you supported him on day one he wouldn't turn around and shank you in the kidneys two months later.

Axiom Verge and Shovel Knight are a goddamn bargain at full price because they're that good.
Shovel Knight is $15, not $20 - and I paid that for it. If it were $15 I probably would go for it now. Just my personal feeling on it. For a retro styled downloadable game $15 is my personal max buy price. Not saying it might be worth more than that to others. I remember when Bionic Commando Reloaded came out and people were upset at how it was $15 instead of the usual $10 max price. I'm just not fond of the ever increasing prices on downloadable games.

That's great, but it didn't show up really on my radar until after that - in fact I don't think I even had my PS4 yet back then. So yeah, I probably wouldn't have seen your ample notice anyways since it really didn't apply to me then. Though I really think he should be more worried about people that might be willing to give it a shot for a bit less than whiners who get upset over a few dollars months after they have already been playing it. People are going to complain about stupid shit anyways. Early adopters pay more, that's just how it works. I didn't know, I'm sorry.

So a reasonable discount six months after release is "shanking people in the kidneys"? Damn. Black Friday must be like mass fucking murder around here.

Hey Frisky, is there going to be a flash sale this Friday?  And if so, will there be any price glitches worth making sure I'm online early for?

Word is that there will be a glitch at exactly 12:06 p.m. EST making all Vita games normally priced $19.26 to $19.84 only $.10. Don't be late! It will only last 15 seconds.

nah, they're just pricing everything at 10 cents so nobody can reach the $100 minimum for that promo. Sony are jerks.

Anyone with thoughts on the Season Pass for Lego Batman 3? Is it worth picking up at $7.50? Is there actual content there or is it just cosmetic stuff?
I played it a while ago, but from what I remember they were pretty short levels with no cutscenes. Instead they had voiced-over still images to set the scenes, which feels a little cheap. But Stephen Amell voiced the Arrow one, which is kind of cool. I'd say they're worth the money, though, since it's actual additional gameplay and they're fun enough. Probably two more hours of gameplay altogether.

GTA V question. I started this on PS3, but then life happened and I ended up trading the disc in anyway. Been thinking about getting back into it, maybe got 25% in, if that, originally. Is the PS4 upgrade worth the extra money (and starting over) or should I go with the cheaper PS3 version? Thanks.

Go for PS4 and don't look back. Its better in every way and Rockstar will not update PS3/360 versions anymore.

Amanda Waller from Arrow also did the voice over for the Suicide Squad level. Both are hilarious, if you are a fan of Arrow - they really had some fun with it.

The levels are short, but I think there are six of them, plus a bunch of extra minifigs - totally worth the price of Deluxe if you enjoy the game.

I'm waiting on a sale (lol) for Axiom but you are absolutely right on SK. I am still triggered that Shantae PC sells for $20 and SK sells for $15. There is no universe where SatPC is anywhere close to as good as SK much less better.

You'll have to wait until next year for the next sale. They only go on sale in the lead up to Halloween.
They might be on sale again if PSN does the two week sale of the dead like they have done the previous few years. That is when they were last on sale before the sale a couple weeks ago, the only reason they were on sale outside of the sale of the dead is probably because the sequel came out before the time frame of the site wide Halloween sale.
Damn. Well guess i'll cross my fingers that the Corpse Party games go on sale again durring that sale of the dead thing. If not i guess i wont be playing the new one for quite some time

I was going to ask in another thread here on CAG, but instead I just googled 'powers season 2' and got my answer.

Which is 'yes'.
Thanks. Wasn't sure how well it did but i found it entertaining

And if you dont get in on the deal everyone here will act all haughty and say you had plenty of time and your an iditiot for not getting it =P

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/10/15/organ-trail-complete-edition-coming-to-ps4-ps-vita-october-20th/

Organ Trail Complete Edition is out next week for PS4/Vita with Cross Buy and Cross Save support. It includes the expansions from the PC version. If you don't know the game, it's a zombie version of Oregon Trail.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CobETV5QeHE
I actually couldn't get into that game. The controls for the 'hunting' parts were way too shitty. I really wanted to love it but they were just terrible and brought the whole game down

I hope dark souls 2 PS3 $7.50 my disc drive has been broken a long time now and I'm a poor cheap gamer.
It may be worth it to you to purchase the scholar of the first sin edition of Dark Souls 2 for PS3 instead as it comes with all the DLC. Last time it was on sale it was $16 which is close to $10 cheaper than just the cost of the 3 DLC packs (which have substantial content). The PS4 SotFS edition of Dark Souls 2 is a remixed, master quest version with new enemy placement, but the PS3 version is just like a straight GOTY edition that packages the base game with the DLC and is compatible with vanilla version disc saves.

Aha, the flash sale has that Metro Redux bundle deal for $12.50 that was supposed to have happened a month ago, but never did.  I'm probably in for that.

Bastion for $6, is this a decent price? I remember it being on sale a few months ago but can't remember how low it was and l waited too long to bite.
My email says I paid $3.45 for it back in July.
OK thanks, that's what I thought.

Being at level 40 with some legendary and exotic items in my loadout makes the Iron Banner in Destiny a way better experience than the last time I tried it. I actually had a 1+ KDR compared to a 0.07 KDR last time.

A lot of mildly interesting titles to keep an eye on...   definitely intrigued by 'forced' and their talk of gladiator school... if they get gladiator school done right, I'm in.   But it's so rare... Gladiator Begins, Shadow of Rome, and Gladius are all that come to mind.

Organ Trail, Hasbro [maybe?],  pocket god v desert ashes... hmmm...
