It's $30 for two years. You pre-order three launch games in two years and you're even.

 
I picked up Ultra Street Fighter IV, The Order 1886, Onechanbara Z2, and the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 throwback map pack. Plus I got the Arkham Knight premium edition from Amazon. 107.2 GB total.

On the Xbox side, I bought the Margaret dlc character for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. It wasn't on sale, but after six months of Xbox Live Rewards surveys I was able to buy it without having to spend any money that wasn't already in my account. That's pretty much the last thing I wanted for Xbox. $0.18 will be left in my balance.

I played Ultra Street Fighter IV for two hours. I forgot how much I like that game. I went 29 for 34, and got the 10-streak trophy. Afterward I tried to download the Revelations 2 map pack. There seems to be some problem with the store.

 
I can't get PSN to work either.
Anyone having trouble turning off the PS4 or getting to your downloads? It won't let me do shit.
I couldn't even get to the power off screen, it wouldn't load.
I tried unplugging it, it started to work again but it stopped like 1 minute later.
I'm scared my ps4 is broken or something, LOL. How the hell am I supposed to turn off the ps4 now?

mistake 1 was unplugging while it was on.(Unless nothing worked)

Can't you just hold the power button for 3 beeps and it shuts off?

Could be hardware related or the PS4 went crazy because PSN is down. :D/

I wouldn't have done it unless it was a last resort. Nothing was working at all. Thats why I did it :( even if it's dangerous.
Yup, it started working again like a while ago. I guess it's back up. Seems kind of stupid you can't even use the console itself when psn is down (maybe it was a one time thing, but yeah. hopefully doesn't happen again).

My PS3 has frozen so many times, and had to use the on/off switch to shut it off.

This was usually while playing a game.

Hope your ps4 is okay.

 
So how does the arkham knight season pass work? It was technically 6 months but there was little substantial story driven dlc. Are we getting any good future dlc or are we stuck with what we have?

Yeah, my ps3 freezes up sometimes when playing games especially Lego games haha. Its easier to just press the button on the ps3, apparently you have to hold the ps4 one down.
You learn new things everyday.

Some people were saying another piece of story dlc is coming in December. They were talking about it in this thread, I think. Someone said it covered up to 6 months after the release of the game. So hopefully they do release more content.

Just FYI, Sonic Adventure (not the DX DLC) has been on sale several times for $2, twice just this year. So unless you plan on playing it immediately you might be better off waiting for that deal to come back around.

So I need to buy $53.xx technically.,since psn takes out $5 minimum.

Without sonic game and dlc, I'm 10 cents over lol

So I will be stuck with $4.90 on credit.

 
Does anyone have any feelings vis a vis BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend on Vita compared to on PS3? I mean, obvious Vita deficiencies aside--no fightstick and no local multiplayer.

Are there any significant performance differences I should know about? Graphical differences? Gameplay modes? Anything else?

I'd recommend you don't get that Sonic Adventure DLC, unless you are planning to spend a looooot of time playing. The main draw of it is a playable Metal Sonic and you can't use it until you get every damn emblem in the game (130?!).

On the plus side, you you can unlock some PS Home items... oh wait.

I've been torn on that for a long time myself. I would lean, myself, towards the PS3 version, mainly for the local multiplayer, but also for the DS3 controller over the Vita's setup--you'll have two extra shoulder buttons to map button combos to.

That said, I'll be getting it for the Vita (or, in my case, PSTV), because I'm not really sure how much access I'm going to have to my PS3 over the next year or so, and the Vita/PSTV can be carted around really easily.

As far as I've been able to determine from what other people have said, there's very little performance/graphical difference between the two versions, with the PS3's main claim to superiority being in environments.

Put in j stars victory ps3.
Total $55.xx, $6.xx from PayPal. 48.xx credit.

Witcher 3 --- everybody says it's a goty contender, but i'm not quite sold on it. $22.50 isn't bad for it, though. But I have Lords of the Fallen, Diablo 3, Dark Souls 2, etc to scratch that rpg itch...

Nova 111 --- interesting mix of turnbased tactical + action shmup... but nobody ever talks about it. 7.50 is $2.50 more than i want for taking a chance on it, but it's possible i could love it.

Hotline Miami 2 --- loved the first. bought it at full price i think, though, so would prefer this at $5 since some seem tepid on it.

Defense Grid 2 -- own on steam... anyone know how it plays on consoles? would prefer trophies but not if it's far superior with a mouse.

Still annoying that Hyperdimension Rebirth 1 doesn't work on PSTV. Of the others in the series, that do work, what would be the recommended place to start?

I've read mixed things about the games in general but there seems to be quite a few here that like it.

Thanks! Bought it on Vita (along with both XBlaze games since the sequel's on sale but I missed the first one's sale back in August). I'm a sucker for all things BlazBlue and it's great to play on the go then throw the memory card in the PSTV at home.

They're all pretty standalone so your starting point doesn't really matter, but anything that isn't a Re;Birth title on the Vita is a spinoff and can be put aside for now. If you want a specific recommendation, if you still have your 10% coupon to use then go ahead and get Re;Birth3 since it's on sale and a decent price when stacked, along with all of the DLC for an extra 90 cents. It does make a few references to the second game, but nothing spoiler-y or that ruins either game if you haven't played it yet.

I wouldn't say not as good as much as they're very different, so they're a less ideal place to start with. If you find that you like the main series, then you can worry about the spinoffs.

Yes ... because PSN's website is getting slammed this weekend. BTW, the app is nothing more than a mobile browser, so it's just taking up space on your phone. :)

EDIT FIXED --- SOLUTION

SO.... after some googling I discovered the issue might be with Battlefield.   I soon discovered some glitchy behavior....

I moved it to my wishlist, and applied the code.   It worked!   Great, now I wanted to add BF back to my cart, but when I went to the store (both sale and profile page) it showed as 'in cart', even though it wasn't.   So I went to my wishlist, and it showed in cart there too.   So I deleted it from my wishlist, and then went back to the sale page... and it still showed as 'in cart'.

HOWEVER... you know how sometimes items 'update' in real time before your eyes (ie, it shows a price, then updates to show it's already bought or in cart)... well, I reloaded the sales page about 5 times, and eventually saw a cart button show up.   I clicked it fast as I could, and sure enough, it got added to my cart.

Purchased at 16.20 instead of $18, so discount applied... I just had to jump through hoops.

Posted in case this helps someone save $1.80 and a minor headache.

I think the problem really is anyone mentioning it. If people not mention it, people wouldn't get the idea (my context isn't meant to be read as hateful, if it does, sorry isn't towards you or anyone). Hopefully redbox can upgrade their machines in the near future so this isn't possible. I seen some guy earlier at a redbox to a point of concealing his identity while indoors at a Walmart. They should require facial recognition while renting/buying from redbox, where it denies sale to people it can't recognize (as far as having their face covered up but then we run into the issue of those who have faced trauma in their life etc).

The mobile app is very useful for messaging, and not just for having a screen keyboard at your fingertips. You can select if you want it to have your phone give alerts for things like messages, friend requests, and invitations; even individually. When I was preparing to start a Huge Creatures event in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 with another player I only knew through some RE boards I used the mobile app and PSN messages to communicate with him. It worked just as good as texting.

A Similar thing happen with Gears and Halo 5.

Which makes me feel the disc is worthless.

I can understanding a patch, but nothing that big.

Actually i think both are based on the first season. If i recall first half was the traditional medieval style RPG setting and second half was the gay ass fairy land thing. Season II is about guns or something

I think they need to find a way to prevent scanners and cameras from taking a picture of the coding they use for rentals.

Though there is a minor coincidence here, recently while at a SuperMarket a heavy set man was standing by an automated lottery vending machine.

He wanted me to use my ID so that he could buy lottery tickets.

See the lottery vending machines in my state require a valid ID scanned to work. I immediately refused, so he asked my roommate, when my roommate refused the guy became irate. Going as far as to insult us, then to say that he was carrying almost $10,000 why would he need to cheat us.
Needless to say, we moved to the other side of the store and I reported him to the workers.

Now ID scanning might be a good idea for RedBox, but I doubt it would work.
