I don't think I've seen a week go by since Citizens of Earth's release that it hasn't been discounted on either Wii U, Steam, or PSN. Is that game just a total mess or something?

i've noticed that as well for Citizens of Earth, the game isn't bad though. Have it on Vita, and if the game has cross save with the PS4 version i'd grab it there also.

Not far enough in the game to give a valid review of the game myself.. but I do find it fun. one of those games that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I know this may be a stupid question and I apologize in advance if it is, but Gradius V is only showing as PS3 for me, but I'd like to play it on my PS TV or PS4. Is it possible that in the future it might be added to the list of PS2 games that are playable on the PS4? I like the game so much I want to grab it now if there is even the slightest hint that might happen.

As of right now, there's no crossover between the PS2 Classics and PS2 remasters. I wouldn't bank on Gradius V getting added, and I wouldn't bank on Sony giving owners a free copy if they do remaster it. I think it's worth it even if you need to break out the PS3 when you want to play it.

Is there still a freezing problem with LBP3?

I had it freeze every time I tried to play on PS3, wondering if it was a PS3 only thing or if it runs more smoothly now for PS4 (patches).

Mainly why I never really played it.  Bought it back when it was new, but for $7 might as well get it for PS4.

Ok, that was where my major misunderstanding was. I didn't know PS2 Classics and PS2 Remasters were 2 different things. Thanks for the heads up and I did grab it anyways, it is too awesome not to. Plus as an added bonus my PS3 sounds like a Jet Engine when I fire it up so hooray for unintended sound effects!

Yet only part 1 is on PS4.. unless they are together..

the PSV version is 4 gigs a part.. PS4 6 for the half we get.
you are right actually just noticed that the second part is for vita, so I deleted it from my cart. ...they might be together I guess for ps4

Might as well pick this and some off-line games up during this sale (and hopefully  during the flash sale as well) since you know those kiddies will DDoS attack PSN this Christmas and throughout the weekend.

Anyone play Pocket RPG? Wondering if its worth the couple bucks its on sale for.

Almost forgot to buy Brandish.
Ive passed on the it the last few times its been on sale. I keep waiting for around 75% off or so.. .starting to wonder if that will ever happen. Looks like a fun game

I was trying to find out if Citizens of Earth works on Playstation TV. I saw a post on the compatibility list that said it was patched back in April. Can anyone confirm this?
I dont think so. I recall trying to download it several months back on my PSTV and it wouldn't let me. Im sure that was sometime after April. Unless it was in the last month or two i dont think its compatable. I was actually annoyed because i bought it planning to jump between the vita and vita tv while playing

Might grab The Fall. Looks cool and it's cheap.

I'm sure it's worth it but was it enjoyable for those who played it?
I was thinking the same thing but i have a feeling thats the type of game that will be a PS+ freebie soon enough

Question, has the Flash Sale Placeholder gone up yet?
Usually when a Flash Sale is going to happen soon, the turn the pages on.
Are we sure we are getting one this year? We already had the VGA flash sale for the month plus the christmas sales that have been going on all month as well.. I'm hoping so since I have this 20% off coupon to burn by the end of the year.

Starting to regret loading up on 2x the PSN credit than I did XB credit from Target.

I'll use the PSN credit eventually though, if not on a sale then stuff next month like Banner Saga that I've been waiting to come to console.

Was there a sale on PSN credit that I missed? Really need to load my wallet if it's still going on.

It's a good Earthbound clone that is more user-friendly in terms of ways to customize the experience to make it tougher or easier to get through. It's on sale fairly often because it's published by Atlus.

Some recommendations:

  • Broken Age - Solid classic-style adventure game. Don't touch it if you're not into figuring out puzzles and where you're supposed to go.
  • Citizens of Earth - Good Earthbound clone that outdoes that game in being more flexible to let people adjust the experience to meet their preferences.
  • Killallzombies - Fun dual-stick shooter that apes Crimsonland's perk system but sets it all in a game show-style arcade setting.
  • Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell - They go even further towards the Crackdown style of sandbox game with this good follow-up to Saints Row 4 featuring Kinzie and Gat.
  • Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones - They took the original puzzle platformer and housed the level start points in a Metroid-style overworld with hats and stuff to find around there. The original is also a good choice if you haven't played that yet.
  • Super Mega Baseball - Good arcadey baseball game with a decent amount of customization offered for the teams/players and a solid season mode.
  • The Swapper - A fantastic 2.5D Metroid-style puzzle platformer on the level of a Portal in terms of that feeling you get when you figure out the tough puzzles.
  • Thomas Was Alone - Good puzzle platformer that features a good story about these blocks/characters with personalities. It also has a great commentary option that is easy to turn on.
  • Titan Attacks - Solid Space Invaders clone with a cool art style.
  • Velocity Ultra - If you haven't played this before, it's a fantastic shmup that focuses on speed, warping, and obviously shooting to get through levels as fast as possible.

Are there any decent deals on a PS+ subscription? Best I could find was ~$45.60 here:

http://www.instantgamecodes.com/buy/playstation-plus-1-year-card-code

Doesn't seem like there are as many deals for PS+ as XBL. :(
Not much this year, I have seen a lot more discounts on XBL with Xbox One sales (and random sales in general posted). PS+ I've only seen on black Friday 3mo for $10, but it was a mess where you basically had to go to the store or contact support. Both services are finally at a place where they don't need to attract customer, they will just buy it at msrp because it's basically required on consoles for most online activities.

That last sentence makes me feel better about not biting on Lost Dimension for $20 on Amazon yesterday. It's shot up to $28 now, so hopefully it'll get a nice discount on PSN in the future.

Yeah, the PS4 version is a great deal then if you're into these kind of games, Even with the iOS sale, it ends up being $6.98 for both episodes. Pretty screwed up that the Vita version only has the second episode on sale.
Do you know if I can play Episode 1 on iOS and Episode 2 on Vita for maximum savings? That is, will I be missing anything starting from scratch on Episode 2 on Vita, or does it actually require a save from Episode 1 or what?

I honestly can't say 100%. But since both Vita and iOS have the option to buy Episode 2 standalone, I'm going to guess that you don't need a game save from Episode 1. May be one of those things, like in Mass Effect 2, where it may help to have the decisions from the first game but otherwise it starts you off with a clean slate (or predetermined decisions from Ep. 1).

Tempted by Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3. I love me some musou games and I have 40 dollars of credit just sitting there. Hoping Lost Dimension drops digitally as well.

I heard you dont want Lost Dimension digitally, at least for Vita if that's what ur interested in.

^ i know right??

I was definitely looking forward too it, but it's not much of a delay, just a month, and as a fan of the series, i want to enjoy the game to it's perfection. So I forgive them.

It'd be nice if there is a Flash Sale this week that it starts today, but my bets are on tomorrow. I doubt Sony would put their employees to work on Christmas Day but who knows.

Here I am again, eagerly watching the store for a Flash Update...
Why? It is more likely to happen tomorrow and even if it happens today the flash sales tend to go live later in the day than the regular weekly sales so there'd still be easily 3 to 5 hours before we knew much of anything.

Also of note, the flash sale pages they tend to edit and update for the new flash sales are not live. So it's very likely it won't happen today anyway.
