Mehh... like Jiryn says its a bit repetitive with the 3 story lines. It also has a janky ass combat sytem that totally departs from Suikodens traditional 6 member system. You have to pair characters up which is kinda dumb. The characters are kinda interesting though and i do like the story. It also has the best opening cinema in the series =) That said though, its my least favorite one next to IV which i dont even really count as a Suikoden game

Was thinking about Tokyo Twilight but after watching a video of it I don't think it's for me.  So Toren for sure and debating whether to get Mega Man Legends now or hope it's not two years to the next sale.

 
Bladestorm isn't good. That's for sure. I like it a little and am playing it but it's an ugly mess of a game. You pick up squads on the battle field like they were vehicles and autoattack them against enemy squads occasionally hitting special attacks when cool downs end. Ideally you would change to advantageous squads in the game of RPS, but for the most part you can just outgrind the RPS and use whatever and that's somehow better because fuck hiking across these massive battlefields more than necessary.

It's ... better than I make it sound? Try the PS4 demo if you can. I enjoy it sorta and will complete it I believe. But it absolutely is not a good game.

It's not offensive though and for a musou fan that's usually sufficient for 800 hours of grind.

Yep, it definitely will. I prefer 2, but Suikoden was excellent as well, and there isn't really a major drop off in anything gameplay wise.

 
Does anyone by chance have a 10% off code they're not going to use? I would love to get Megaman Legends & the Advanced Warfare Digital Pro Edition but I can't stomach the $60 price knowing it's only $50 on Steam :/ I'd like to bring the price down as close to that as I could...

damm they took down the individual marvel dlc for lbp already. i thought it was untill the 31st. all that is left is the giant bundle i don't want .
 
Emails have been sent out to some users with January ps4 free game list. Looks like we are getting Hardware Rivals and Grim Fandango. PS3 and Vita games still are yet to be announced

The main story of the first game holds up well and the game is relatively short, but going from 2 to 1 you'll run into less fleshed out gameplay elements. The characters lack customization with only one rune slot to apiece, the individual character inventories are a mess to manage, and the ability to run is absent unless you bring a specific character in your party. Also, 2 seemed to do a better job of fleshing out more of the many side characters available so you'll feel more motivated to try more of them out.

It's not a bad game, it's just missing many of the niceties that help make the second one so playable to this day. That being said, I've played it numerous times for the sake of carrying over save files onto multiple platforms so the drawbacks might just be more noticeable to me.

Hardware Rivals makes sense since it's releasing on the 5th. Didn't play the beta but looks fun even if I'm not as excited about another online only game.

Already have Grim Fandango, but those who don't are in for a treat with this classic.

Hope some good Vita titles are on the list (and PSTV compatible).

Sony's not going to take away Vita titles without plenty of notice. They're not stupid. The small but vocal Vita user base would be extremely outraged if Vita games were taken away without notice. I'm sure Sony would like to phase PS3 and Vita out of PS Plus, but that won't be abrupt or without notice.

Would they though? If they're paying the same rate to get Vita/PS3 games for PS+ then I think they're doing business wrong. So if they're able to pull 2/3s of the list at a lower price I would think they would want to continue that as long as possible... unless they also plan to scale it back from 6 games (which I could see as well).

 
Anyone think there might be a New Years flash sale this weekend? Still hoping Alien Isolation gets matched to the X1's price. Don't understand at all why it wasn't this week.

Double Edit: So the PS3 games are from 2009 and 2012 respectively. Legends of War seems to be a PSP game since the Vita version is listed as cancelled on Metacritic? I've thought about getting Grim Fandango since it released, so I'm glad to see that, but I don't know much about the other two.

The discounts for PS+ members alone have more than paid for my subscription, and this is probably the case for anyone who buys a decent amount of digital games. I really couldn't care less about the "free" (as long as you have plus) games, so those are no big deal at all. I usually skip them anyway, especially if they are games that I would actually like to own (can't buy them later unless your Plus lapses).

If you don't buy digital games, then yeah, it's probably not worth it.

Wow, I just saw that Nihilumbra is $2.50 right now on PSN too.  Could have easily bought that this week a whole 2-3 days before PS+ dropped, that would have been fun.
