Apparently my PS Plus was over but Sony sent me an email saying I get a 1-day extension for PS Plus and PS Now for some reason?

Great! Now I get PS Plus prices for these sales, Lol.

The first Dark Cloud didn't have a discount, but not of the games in the first batch did. I believe all of the single PS2 releases each week(except for the first week after New Years had no new releases) since then have had launch discounts.
Cool, hopefully there's a discount for DC2. Thanks for the info.

Just keep in mind redeeming the 1-day extension will turn back on auto-renew and if you have enough money to cover the subscription (or a CC tied to the account) you'll automatically get renewed after that 1-day is over. You can turn it back off on the listing for it on the web store page for your account and purchase history.

EDIT: Redeemed my 1 day code & auto-renew stayed off so YMMV. did in fact actually turn back on, so check that shiznit!

Thank you.

I wish I got this coupon sooner, so I could use it on this week's stuff.
Maybe a $25 Gamestop or Best Buy e-mail gift card would be better. You should get it soon after ordering it, then you could turn it into PSN credit. Gamestop's website has $10 codes.

If you go to a Gamestop store you could turn it into Amazon credit by buying a $25 kindle gift card.

My auto renew was on again though I know I turned it off when I checked my PS4 yesterday (I installed a new 2TB HD, but that autorenew stuff is associated with PSN so I don't know what was up). I freakin' hate auto renew with anything. Pretty much the reason I stayed on Amazon Prime for one year longer than I wanted to. $99 at the time is just too much for that, and no I don't use the streaming though the music was aight.

Just got back and dug through my entire purchase history to find my PS+ and it seems the +1 day didn't show up as my last renewal.  I still got the day but it's showing my last PS+ renewal was the last of the batch of 3 Month cards from the Walmart BF deal.

To recap where to find it exactly with a computer... hit the webstore and log in, click your user name in the top right and choose "purchase history".  Log in.  Mine was near the end of the list of 122 pages of purchases.  That was because my first original subscription marked my purchase date not the last renewal date, so it was easier to find by starting at the last page and then moving backwards through the list.  Just look for PS+ Subscription.  Once that's open, there's a drop down list that'll show if you have autorenew turned on.

It's a pain to find.   Beyond this, there's also the page with your account information.  It'll have under Wallet the option to auto fund when you don't have enough money.  Turning that off is not enough to stop auto renew as it'll use the funds already on your account if you have enough to auto-renew when PS+ expires.

Where can you turn it off? I can't find it under purchase history.

I loved that game so much. I can't wait for a next gen game in that world.
Really hoping it RDR becomes BC for Xbox1, thats where my original save was, but kind fun starting over on PS3. I laugh everytime I play some of these BC or old releases and see my save games are almost 10 years old.

Okage was a lot of fun, but battles were very sloggy.
yeah not being able to target all enemies most of the time was annoying. Though If I remember right aris one buff allowed you to do so but that would take 2 turns minimum.

Another PS2 game I own, but never got around to play.

Bought it for like $5 from Kmart in the town I grew up.... god I miss that K-mart.

I just realized, I really stopped playing my PS2 after I got the Model 3 and upgraded to a 52in tv.

More of the model 3, I really dislike the ultra slim size and tiny ass buttons.
yes I miss kmart too.

It would be cool to see Legaia 2 put on there, but as they didn't bring the first one to PSN, my hopes aren't high.
I actually have that in my backlog got it for around 13$ new off amazon.

Yeah, they're pulling out some really strange (and great) choices for these PS2 games. Hail Stan.

Also, for anyone hoping for SMT: Nocturne, whenever I tried to emulate it I would get some graphical glitches (shadows showing through solid objects, specifically) so since they're likely just using some variant of PCSX2 as well, albeit with customized settings for each game, that might take a while for them to work the kinks out.
have nocturne in my backlog as well. Actually bought it the same day as legaia 2.

Always been curious about Akiba's Trip. Seems to have kind of a cult following. Do you really need to be into anime to enjoy it (other than the overt sexuality, obviously)?

I guess what I'm asking is if the gameplay itself is fun. And if it's worth playing, how big of a difference is there between the Vita and PS4 versions?

I grabbed it on Vita physical a few weeks back and have about 2-3 hours into it right now, I don't have any interest at all in anime. It's a good game.

Honestly tempted to grab the PS4 version.

Rocket League's first season of ranked play is ending with special crowns being handed out to those that reached the higher tiers in the next update. They're also making some changes to the customization items to be tiered more like Diablo gear depending on whether they're DLC, holiday, or base game gear that should make it easier to tell where the items came from. With that change, they're adding a new tier of Uncommon items whose chances of being earned increases with longer sessions. There will be another news post next Friday with news on competitive ranked changes to come with the February update.

It stayed off for some odd reason.

It plays like a good vita game, typical JRPG but it's actually quite funny.

I only played so much, but I enjoy anime so I don't know if my opinion counts.

I think the game is pretty unique and original for what it is.

Akiba Strip PS4 is the way to go. More NPCs, DLC already in game, some streaming stuff, just better. Akiba Strip Vita isn't bad for portability but that's about the only place it wins.

Thanks for the thoughts on Akiba's Trip. Think I'll bite on the PS4 version. Only have a PSTV so portability is not an issue.

If they were exactly the same I'd only do Vita because my space is actually worse on PS4 right now. But it looks like even that version is only 3.1 GB.

That PS+ exclusively-priced version of Driveclub got a drop for the Essentials sale:

Driveclub - $11.24 - 25% Off
I'm confused. That page has this "Access to all 13 tracks in India, one of six locations in DRIVECLUB™" in the description, but it's the full game right? That should be the description for the PS+ freebie edition.....not the specially priced PS+ version.

Also, is the bundle with the season pass worth the extra $9?

One of the best season passes ever created. IMO, the best, no season pass that I've had has ever giving me as much content as the one for Driveclub did.

It's the full game. They essentially have two versions of the game on there with one having a PS+ exclusive discount price and the other being a normal price like most everything on PSN.

The season pass has a ton of content in it that's detailed here.

there is definitely nothing typical about akibas strip. Its one of a kind in alot of ways both good and bad. It's gameplays ok but nothing special and gets boring pretty quickly. I'd definitely rec watching a youtube clip and see if that's your kinda thing.

Yes. People has been buying things from Canada since the exchange rate is hitting a new low.
Almost certain, as Frisky said as well, that doesn't work though. Would have bought some PSN/XBL/eShop in August when I was in Canada with a good exchange rate but everything said no it wouldn't work.

I need to go back and get more good booze for cheap though.

Akiba's Trip is in no way a typical JRPG.

I enjoyed it, but it got a bit old toward the end. Definitely a GameFly kind of game.

Is it true that the PS4,unlike the Xbox One, actually allows you to play its disc games off the disc without requiring you to install them? I've got a disc copy of Infamous: Second Son that I'm considering trading in and buying the download. I might keep the disc and pass on the download if it turns out that keeping the disc and playing it instead makes more sense space-wise. Thanks.

You have to install everything.

no, some games let you play right away, but it still installs in the background.

Anything that adds funds to your account wouldn't work, but I got report that memberships and game codes work for all of north America.

I just remembered SD people buying all ps plus codes on Canada Costco two weeks ago, so it went out of stock. :wall:

Do I need the disc too play Infamous: First Light? I borrowed the game from my brother so I got all the trophies, but I don't have the disc anymore.
