It really is nuts how big these games are ... most seem to be about 40 to 50 GB ... even if you own the physical version of the game!

I often wonder if this number could be lower or if devs are just lazy, meaning they could decrease the amount of space a game takes up without sacrificing anything, but don't because it takes time and money.

On a side note, is there an easy way to check all the digital games you own, including ones that are no longer on your hard drive?

EDIT: For those talking about Sukikoden .. from my collection. Bought the entire set about five years ago?

SuikodenComplete.jpg
Kudos on that PS1/2 collection bro!! You should still get the Digital so those disks last you longer. IMO

There's a weird pleasure I get from playing the originals on the original equipment.

The discs have lasted nearly 20 years. Don't see why they can't last another 20! =D

I'm debating on the Danganronpa games. I am a Vita newbie, so I'm bulking up my collection any way I can. I am a sucker for physical games (especially the niche ones like this series seems to be)...but those two games for a little more than one would cost me online has me in a quandary.
A consideration is that space is a premium between my two memory cards (an 8GB and a 16GB). Anyone on either side of this predicament care to offer some insight?
Get a larger memory card on sale.
Unless you're going to play it this week, wait it out and try to get some good physical deals.

I've waited this sale a while but what made the decision for me is its coming to PC. I can wait a deep discount and never have to re buy it as a "port" for vita2 or ps5 or every system they ever make.
Had they done backwards compatability or even some discounts for prior versions I might have gone for it, but sony is running with their delusional fever dream method.

Edit: Amazon has them for $30 each but once they sell out its done as GS & BB don't carry them.

The first one comes out on Steam next month so that is an option also.

Ok thanks for the replies! I've got a little time before the sale ends tomorrow to torment myself further.

Good news is, at least I picked up Symphony of the Night and Chrono Cross (both very-much needed additions to my PS1 classics!)

I'm with ya. Mega fan of the series as well. I have a play copy and a sealed copy of the first game put away.

Want to buy some of these PSone classics to play on a vita though I don't have PS+ right now. Is there a good place on the forum I could ask to trade just for one of these one day codes?

Has anyone else had problems with PS3 auto-uploading saves and synching trophies? Mine hasn't done that since New Year's and I saw a topic on PSNProfile of people complaining the same. I have the settings to auto-upload on and every game checked.

When i logged into my ps4 the other day i got the notification for the free day of ps+ due to the outage. It took me to the code to redeem but the code errored and didnt redeem. Retrying did not help.

How do i fix this and did this happpen to anyone else?

Any news of what the next sale is going to be?

I'm really hoping a Life is Strange Season Pass or AC: Syndicate Gold Edition sale comes at some point within the next month or so.

Get the code from your email and redeem it on the web store?

I honestly have that entire collection physically as well (Save for Suikoden 1 and 2) along with many many more PS2 RPGS.

How does going digital save the disc?

Reading the disc doesn't damage it or degrade over time, and the only discs I know extremely susceptible to clouding and eroding are older CDs from the 90s.

Went ahead and got Castlevania: SotN and Chrono Cross. I got Castlevania: SotN already on disc but concerned with the condition, being that it has been in a freezing room (air vent has been closed since the room is pretty much storage). Plus playing on vita is a nice addition anyways.

edit - and while looking through my xbox 360 list, seen I had Castlevania: SotN for it as well... oh well, at least it has achievements.

Same problem here. Its been that way since sometime mid to late Dec for me. I googled it and saw a lot of people complaining that Sony isn't acknowledging the problem. However, I did find a post that linked to Sony EU support forum and they do seem to know about the problem and are working on it. Also it seems to be a PS3 problem since my vita uploads and syncs everyday just fine.

Picked up Suikoden 1 and 2, never played them before! Both those games are talked about so fondly by their fans, especially part 2. So definitely wanted part 1 to transfer everybody over.

Holy crap that game seems like pure garbage. Was hoping it was sort of good but nope.

I understand what you're saying, but i'm pretty sure PS4 has already been hacked pretty good including recent reports of people playing Pokémon on a PS4. Still, i'm sure Sony would like to limit any further potential damage. I guess it just seems dated when an Xbox 360 could do external storage (albeit limited) years ago. Even Nintendo is allowing it on WiiU. The problem with internal storage is that it is very limiting both in amount of storage and upgrade options. It just seems very old school for a more nimble and forward thinking operation that Sony has been aspiring to.
You could also flip the script and say that Microsoft is being very archaic in only allowing the internal to be upgraded with the purchase of a $500 console for both a storage and speed upgrade with that hybrid drive that Sony has allowed as an option since the PS3. The obvious best option is to offer both, but right now, neither are meeting all needs. I don't like the idea of the biggest place I'm storing my games not being inside the machine.

You're trying to problem solve the equivalent of finding a quarter on the floor. Is it even worth your time?

I haven't played my PS2 copy of Persona 4 yet. Would I be better off playing that on PCSX2 or get the Vita version instead?

Great choice. It's definitely worth playing the first one since there's bonus content and you'll understand more about the Suikoden universe. Love the music, stories, and characters in those games. And I especially like 2's art.

If you want the true ending and a proper save transfer you may want to use a guide.

Both of those were just on sale. They could go on sale again, but likely not in that time frame.

Wonder if a flash sale will come this week or next. I'm hoping we get some $1 games on sale again those are always my favorite even if the games aren't that great.

Can anyone talk me out of the GTA trilogy? Are the remasters horrible on the big screen?
GTA 3 and Vice City actually look great if you just turn trails off in the game settings. San Andreas looks a bit more rough but still looks good for a PS2 game on modern screens.

Just buy them, I bought them all on release because I figured we wouldnt get a sale that quick. I've enjoyed them all quite a bit.

That is a great suggestion, thanks! Will be turning trails off ASAP.

It's the PS2 Classics version for the PS3. So, same price as the sale (more expensive than the plus price, though.)
Link for those who care: http://www.amazon.com/Shin-Megami-Tensei-Persona-Digital/dp/B017C2VBHE/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1453223909&sr=8-10&keywords=persona+4
My bad for no link, thanks for the extra info. But yeah, I don't have plus and I was able to use some no rush credits that I usually end up scrambling to spend the night they expire so it worked out nice for me

Do the GTA games look good on widescreen or does it have that weird, stretched-out look? Is it better to play them in original format?

They look just as good, though keep in mind the games are just zooming into the 4:3 image for widescreen, cutting out the top and bottom of the image. It works but personally it really bothered me, turned it off in the options.

While we're at it, Vice City's DTS audio option doesn't work, at least through HDMI. Maybe I'd have to try the Optical port.

depending on the system they can occasionally hurt the discs. My poor copy of vesperia is partially melted by the laser after the 400 or so hours I put into it.

There are + and - to both versions. Biggest reason to get vita over ps2 is skill selection via fusion since that will shave off the irritation that is randomizing skills when you make your demons and thus having to constantly exit and re enter the fusions to get what you want. Besides that they also have easier difficulty settings on vita and rebalanced characters so those can help a long way to alleviating the grind.

The game is going to be longer though because of new social links an stuff just to warn you on top of them removing the bonus of maxing yosuke's link where if you max it then his elemental weakness is gone.

Golden is way better than the vanilla version. They fixed almost all of the things people didn't like about various parts of the game.
pfft the main things people didn't like about the game were the cast, especially the bad mystery scooby doo set up for the story and the way dungeons and social links were set up this time around vs p3.

I hoping they keep the dungeon crawling to night in p5 since forcing it to daytime when that's already slotted for social links was a stupid idea. Especially when there were barely any social links for night to begin with so the only other thing you can do is increase stats. Though honestly they could fix the entire system if they either removed callendar hours or did cold steels multiple social links a day thing.

I've never heard of that.. and that's terrifying.

I know the 360 has some major flaws, such as ruining discs when in the standing position.

I am curious if you had the console properly ventilated, and what version of it.

Might be a glitch but Oddworld: New N' Tasty is showing up free for PS4.

I had it under my son's PS+ account but this doesn't say anything about PS+ so I grabbed it for both my own account and just in case my son lets his PS+ lapse (which he will because he's moved to PC gaming).
