Hmm, it's mostly a graphical facelift - for example, Lara and some of the other character models were completely redone, better lighting, and longer depth of field (meaning objects at a distance appear sharper, less mystery fog covering everything). It's worth that the PS4 version also runs at a higher framerate, not always 60 fps but consistently high (the Xbox One version is still locked at 30 fps. I've played on both consoles).

Like with the Last of Us, the Definitive version's the one to get for newcomers, but if you still have the PS3 version on your shelf, it really depends on whether the graphical facelift and higher framerate would make a difference for you. It's still the same game, at the end of the day...at $7.50, I'd say "why not?" if you want to play it again, but I was a big fan of the game.

I'm tempted... not sure a niche game like this will have many sales in the course of it's PSN lifetime. I have that one day extension from PSN to grab this for the discounted price. Even at $42, i'm thinking about pulling the trigger. I wish it had a physical release on PS4!!!

 
Is Parasite Eve II worth getting? The cost is negligible so I'm not worried about that so much as just whether or not it's really worth adding another game to my backlog.

Yeah, true for the single player campaign. Where you get the real "extras" are the DLC - (1) costumes for Lara in the main game and (2) multiplayer stuff: bonus playable characters, extra free-for-all mode maps, and Hitman weapons. All of these DLC originally sold for $0.99-$5 for PS3.

I paid $8 for PS3 multiplayer DLC alone so $7.50 for the facelifted game + all DLC is a great deal.

Just a warning that the multiplayer for this game is terrible. A lot of black screens in between matches (making you need to reboot the game), lags galore, game glitching (opponents are immune, you fall to your death for no reason, etc), server disconnections, not many people playing, and veteran players using map glitches to cheat.

I only own Ultimax, but it and Helldivers are the only ones that I have interest in. I tend to like arcade racers better than simulations, so Grid 2 didn't do much for me, and I can't imagine Autosport will appeal to me any more. I'll still probably at least boot it up once, but I wish we'd get a Dirt game instead.

I'm sure I'll try Lemmings, and I have no idea what Nova 111 is, so maybe that will surprie me.

As somebody else mentioned, the $10 DLC might be the way to go (though the base game may be as cheap at this point). It'll give you the story necessary to understand Ultimax's story. Ultimax is the better game, with additional fighters and more modes.

I'm glad to see Grid, always loved their racing games.

Pleasantly surprised by Helldivers being free, I was upset when I didn't get in on the Newegg deal, glad to have missed out on it now lol

This reminds me actually I never did play through Grid 2. I like what I played of it.
I also missed Helldivers for $10 and now that doesn't sting anymore. I think the retail version has all the DLC though so still probably not a bad deal for those who got it.

I mean, i know it's persona, but didn't know it had an actual story to the game per se.

 
Nice on Helldivers. I will trade in my $15 copy from Black Friday to GameStop for $16 and keep the DLC. I hope the DLC is compatible with the digital version unless the version that is going to be free is the Super-Earth Ultimate Edition.

Already have Helldivers, but glad I never bit on Nova 111 or Nom Nom Galaxy, both of which have been on sale quite a bit. I'm guessing Lemmings Touch is not PSTV comparable due to the "touch" aspect.

Really excited for Helldivers since people keep talking about it. Anyone want to team up and play through the game the weekend it comes out? We can get a group of 4 going. Never heard of the other PS4 game and will probably never play it.

 
The PS+ Helldivers is the base game I suspect. So I guess I should redeem the Super Earth Edition voucher for the DLC, and trade the base game back to GS while I still can.

 
I have a question. If I install the Helldivers disc to the PS4 will I have to redownload the whole game once it goes free on PS Plus or will all I need is the license for the game or is it treated as 2 seperate things?
 
Went ahead and snagged ffxiv this week, now I just need to find a good deal on the expansion. Wish I had grabbed it when it was 16 with GCU
 
Glad to see Helldivers there (though I bought it for $20), hopefully more CAGs will join up. I almost bought Persona 4 Arena Ultimax a couple weeks back. I heard this is the continuation to the story on Persona 4 Arena, am I missing anything from that version?

That reminds me....I still need to beat persona 4 golden.

According to Polygon, the PS+ freebie will be the Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back edition. They cite their source as the Playstation Blog so it seems to be fairly reliable.

never picked up grid 2 but if it was anything like the first it should be good. I'll have to remember to add that to my wish list.

There are definitely some traditional fighting game modes in Ultimax, but story mode is a visual novel with some fights thrown in. It's a direct continuation of the story from Arena.

Man, only worthwhile game next month for PS4/Vita is Helldivers. (Tho, Nom Nom looks decent)

Which i purchased on BF. Haven't even gotten around to it.

But i guess the DLC is worth $15. Right?! Right?! Someone convince me it wasnt a waste T_T lol. 

Ah well. My + Ran out anyway so ill just hold off renewing it till a worth while sale comes around next month (hopefully). 

Hey, atleast i didnt buy Nom Nom galaxy last month when it was on sale.

Ultimax has a $9.99 DLC that contains the story mode from the first game.

 
They need real digital sales like dark souls 2 GOTY edition $20 and Diablo 3 GOTY $20. Tired of all the garbage year round and only two good sales at Spring and Christmas.
 
Just used my almost useless gamestop credit to get a 10$ psn card towards sleeping dogs. I loved this game on ps3 and I never played the zombie dlc. Ill platinum the game this time !

You mean sales like inFamous for $10, Tomb Raider for $7.50, or Far Cry for $20? All of those have been this price in January.
