Shoot, I can't find recent information to confirm if Final Fantasy 3 and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions will play in either a PS3 or VitaTV? Can anyone confirm either game either way?

The PSP games definitely won't play on the PS3. It should work on a Vita TV.

Here you go.

Both do on TV, but are finicky.

Anyone pick up DariusBurst yet on PS4?  Wondering if there's any input lag from the gamepad or console sticks... i have a HORI HRAP and I'm wondering whether that's going to affect gameplay.

I probably would have bought both versions had they come out on disc/cart, but at these prices (digitally), I can wait. Way too high for digital-only releases.

Agreed! I'm holding out for a sale on the Japanese retail myself, as that is priced to high for physical.
When you say japanese retail, you're referring to the Vita release right? I dont think there was a PS4 retail version available for the game... even in Japan, am I mistaken?

Anyone know where to pre-order Valkyria Chronicles Remaster for PS4? Neither Amazon or Gamestop have it up on their sites.

I've seen it mentioned here a few times, so I'd just like to inform everyone that PS3 games queued on the PSN store now download and function properly. The exact time this became an issue was between December 11-22.

I cannot yet confirm if theophy syncing and auto cloud saves are working when the console is in rest. From the PlayStation forums, it seems that feature on the PS3 is still not functional.

Note that the PS4 and Vita never had these issues, so if your done with your PS3 or just haven't used it in a while, this was probably a non issue for most. I on the other hand had to format my PS3, I have easily over 700GB of DLC and PSN/PLUS games so trying to rebuild my pa3 library without download queueing is impossible.

Cheers!

I just wanted to say that the PS3 game Hyper Void that I bought during last week's indie sale is the perfect marriage of Tempest and Gyruss. It was definitely worth the money. I decided this week that I was going to at least try all the games I bought during last week's sale, but I keep coming back to that one.

wow, $100 more for artbook and soundtrack? Hmmmm....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr220t3JZ_s

It's actually a rather nice artbook. I normally don't care for LE CD's, but I'm a sucker for a great artbook. My funds are kind of tight currently, otherwise I might have ordered it already. Play-Asia still has stock, so hopefully it's not to limited and maybe they will have a sale at some point.

Holy crap... that's a huge box and the artbook is quite large... for the premium, i would have though it to be hardcover. SDOJ even came with the arcade flyer and the 2 disc soundtrack and an artbook. No game manual though... what a bummer! I know almost all vita games don't come with one, but when you promote LE's... that's definitely one way to draw me in. Also, I love this guy and his shmup reviews on youtube. Between he and serflash, i'm good with my shumps.

Song of the Deep will launch this summer for $14.99 on PSN, Xbox Live and Steam. You'll also be able to get a physical copy at GameStop.

Damn, that looks rather cool, count me in. I don't have a next gen system yet, but hopefully next holiday I'll get a PS4. I'll for sure grab the physical release.

Went ahead and bought much of what I wanted from the S/E sale.  FF Origins (FF-I&II), FFIV-Complete, FFV, FFVI, FFVIII, FFIX, Vagrant Story, Front Mission 3, Parasite Eve 2, Legend of Mana... and there are still 1 (FFIII) to 3 more games I may grab from this sale and then I can pretty much ignore the standard S/E sales.  I just need to grab another PSN store card when I go out later.

Oddly some of the games like Vagrant Story which say $3.00 on the store page were $2.99 in my cart and that's what I was charged.  Not that an extra $0.01 savings is a big deal but it was weird to see a price difference like that.

I'm hoping we get a better sale on the Persona games in a few months so I can finish my SMT collection off too.  75% off would be excellent but I think I'd be cool with another 50% off sale.

Just used my almost useless gamestop credit to get a 10$ psn card towards sleeping dogs. I loved this game on ps3 and I never played the zombie dlc. Ill platinum the game this time !
I'm actually in the process of trying to platinum it, but dangs way more stuff to do over the PS3 version since we get to do every single thing not just the main story stuff.

Still great freaking game

I'm debating getting rid of MGS5: PP and GTA5 since I can 40% more than I paid for them on trade in, and I am pretty sure I'll be able to get them for the sub $30 price again later this year.

What do you guys think?

Thanks, I'll chance it.
Let me better explain..

25% of the time, my version of Final Fantasy 3 says it's not compatible.

All you have to do is refresh your system and it works.

I just found out that FF1 and FF2 anniversary editions are digital in every other region but the US.

If they came out to the US, I'd buy them without asking price, I loved FF1 AE.

I don't know about GTA V. Are gamestops trade values that great right now?

So weird that I have to buy FF3 on the PS3 which will not run the game, and then go to the download list on the VitaTV to get it. Oh, and also FF3 simply doesn't show on the VitaTV store for some reason. I don't know why Sony can't get their act together on these things.

The new game from the former heads of Criterion Games is called Dangerous Golf and will be out on PS4 in May. Looks like the Crash Mode of Golf games set inside environments with lots of stuff to smash.

"We Are Doomed is a twin-stick shooter where you zap polygon baddies with an absurdly overpowered laserbeam."

That sounds awesome.

The PS logo in the lower left corner of the screen hides the "S" in scooter to make things a little odd when it's talking about "Pimp Up Your Cooter".

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIII-2

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Dissidia 12 Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection

Yep, which is why I buy everything on their website ( https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/home/main ) and tell it to download to my VITA or TV.

They really dropped the ball on the coding and support, I still feel the Vita died due to the proprietary memory card.

I am in Australia and have a PAL copy of both games on the PSP?
Physical or digital?
I got rid of my PSP and all the UMD games due to how flimsy/cheap the disc containers were.

From regular use, a few were showing cracks and wear, and needed to be replaced.

I don't know about GTA V. Are gamestops trade values that great right now?
50% bonus to all trade in till Saturday, got $35.20

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIII-2

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Dissidia 12 Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy III

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection

These are currently in my cart. Are any of them worth buying?
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Decent MMO, didn't get really into it due to having no one to play with. Plays decently on PS4 but requires the expansion for the later parts now.

Final Fantasy XIII-2

IMHO the best of the XIII trilogy. Pretty fun with the best combat, but the story is rather sparse and in many ways feels like it apes on Radiant Historia/Chrono Trigger with varied and branching timelines.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Not worth it, Dissidia 12 comes with Dissida included in the game

Skip it.

Dissidia 12 Final Fantasy

Pretty good game, all the problems with the first game are more or less fixed.

The original game and story is unlocked by playing through 12

Final Fantasy III

Eh, the precursor to FF5's job system. Pretty fun but has some balance and grinding issues.

Many of the jobs were rebalanced too far in the other direction, making them almost worthless (NInja and Scholar)

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection

By far the best version of Final Fantasy 4, far better than the SNES/SFAM, GBA, WS, and 3D releases.
Good balance, lots of growth and exploration, and the (lackluster) sequel series all included in one set.

Breath of Fire 3 coming to PSN for $10 next month.

Edit- This is the PSP version and not the PS1 one.  I don't think we got this so it's probably the EU release.

The Witness has gone to some really great places since that video I did earlier. Really impressive way of extending that core idea out into many forms around the island.
