doubtful since it was digital only for vita and I ps4 probably got a limited print since digimon isn't exactly very popular. Plus to my knowledge its english sub so with no dub that makes me think even fewer copies would of been printed. Slightly off topic but you could get a physical copy of the vita version from a canadian sight for like 14$ more after conversion rates since canadian money isn't worth as much. I did that since I rather own physical and it looks like a good smt like game.
where do you see it on VITA for 14 more or are you talking PS4... also the import vita is any of it english dub

They are talking the Vita physical import being higher. Play Asia, and another Canadian company which I can't think of the name has it
It should be the same, Japanese voices with English subs.

So many digital games, so little space. Anybody knows of a good deal for a 7200RPM HDD for PS4? Could be 1tb or 2tb. That would help games load faster.

Has anyone picked up Firewatch yet? I saw something online that said it was a little like Metroid Prime? Is that true?

EDIT:

If someone were to get one with 7200 or even a SSD, would load times in the game load faster?

for example, if I installed Fallout 4 on an SSD would the in game load times be faster than a 5400?

Two friends who bought it said its crap, just a lot of walking and bad story. YMMV of course, I suspect if you liked Everyone's Gone to the Rapture you will like Firewatch.

Same here, and even if there is not a speed difference, just being able to click on "download/update" without having to care or think "do I really want to delete that 50GB game" is just marvelous
Agreed I have the same one and my PS4 HD became a nice 500 gig backup drive.

The asian version is physical and in engrish and a canadian site called videogamesplus carries it. here's the link. https://www.videogamesplus.ca/digimon-story-cyber-sleuth-asia-english-vita-p-23713.html

yep. After conversion its around 54$ on videogamesplus and since its in canada less red tape importing and what not for us residents I imagine. The game doesn't release there until the 12th however so I will be waiting at least another week until I get my copy I imagine.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about CyberSlueth
same. Only bad thing I have read thus far is the game story wise was extremely lazy and kept the same dialogue with male pronouns or whatever so even if you choose to be a girl they will still refer to you as a dude and include stuff from the mc's side.

Thanks, but I am looking for 7200RPM. I replaced the 5400rpm PS3 hdd with a 7200rpm, and the difference was notable in many games.
To my knowledge there are no 2TB 7200 RPM drives for PS4. If you absolutely must have maximum speed, install an SSD. But IMHO it's currently not worth the cost of an SSD for what little time you're going to save.

All I want is a good Hybrid 2TB drive.

I am still laughing my ass off at an IRL friend who paid a fortune for a 1TB HD from a local store due to it being labeled "Playstation"
We're talking like $150 or more last year.

Don't knock it. That's a "Game Drive" not a "Hard Drive." They're pretty sweet for boosting your k/d ratio.

Firewatch looks pretty neat. I would play it. Same with The Witness. I just don't see the of the game being what they are charging so I am waiting,

Yeah, $40 for 80+ hours of gameplay (if you don't cheat) and $20 for a game about as long as 2-3 movies...sounds like a giant ripoff.

https://storybundle.com/games

Story Bundle has a new bundle of video game books with one being the most recent edition of Boss Fight Books featuring Shadow of the Colossus written by former CAG, 1up writer, and current Sony indie relations guy. It's a part of the $12 tier and you can have them send the whole bundle of books to your Kindle account to use on whatever device you read them on.

It should work fine but I just wanna point out that the one kelo posted was on sale for $70 recently, so unless you need it immediately, you could have waited a few weeks/months for it to go on sale again to save that $20. On the other hand, that would void the warranty on the external so depends on how you feel about that.

You just missed a 1tb HGST 7200rpm drive at newegg last week. I bought it to put in my laptop. Keep an eye out for another as HGST is considered the most reliable. Though they're owned by Western Digital now. Which is still fine.

But the puzzles are all rather samey, and didn't look appealing.

I just listened to Yahtzee bitch about it in his latest review, and I rather agree from the small time I played

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/116783-The-Witness-Bombshell-Review
If you've actually played The Witness, you'd know that the puzzles are not the same at all. They use a similar interface for many of them, but the context of the mechanics and rules for solving them are radically different for most of what's in there and that's what makes it such a fun and inventive puzzle game for me. Rarely do puzzle games offer such a simple set of mechanics throughout the entire game and just builds levels and puzzles around them to push you to rethink how to use them in new and interesting ways. The only games I've seen do this are Portal, The Swapper, and Box Boy and each of those games could be reduced in the same way you use for The Witness, but that would be selling them incredibly short in a very short-sighted way. If you're not into what it's offering, that's fine, but that doesn't really change how successful the game is at what it's doing.

It's too bad the Zen Pinball Deadpool table isn't on sale like it is on Xbox. The regular Deadpool game is on sale for M$ and Sony for the movie release

Driveclub has a new event going on from now until 2/15 where you can get Double XP with every car/bike in the game. Their events have usually been tied to specific manufacturers, so this is a nice change of pace to let you level up more quickly this weekend.

Frisky check your pm. Sent you an extra hitman beta code.

Thanks, for that heads up. I really need that for the bikes to cut the grind for the plat.

just got it installed tonight, it was worth the extra couple bucks to me to not have to tear apart the enclosure of an external drive. i just wish that WD made a 2tb drive that would have fit as i am partial to them.

working great so far

I only played like an hour or so at a friends, hence the "From what I played" portion.

I know I didn't even scratch the surface, but every review/preview always seems to show a variation of the same or similar puzzle types with the same interface.

When I initially heard about the game (on CAG no less), I honestly thought The Witness was going to be more of an Adventure game with puzzles like Myst and it's ilk.

(Hopefully that explains it better, I know I've edited this like 4 times now!)

Yeah, you haven't seen much of the game. Reviews and previews not going in-depth on that stuff is probably more to do with them valuing the discovery of that stuff to not spoil it for readers.

I had similar assumptions about it an hour in and it did a great job of exceeding my expectations of what they would do with what appeared to be "just line puzzles" at first sight.

Do they all stay the same interface with a screen/etc/etc
It seems to be the only thing I can find..

(Also if you watched the Yahtzee review, was he at the end?)

Don't know if this matters to anyone here

Destiny is getting another large expansion like The Taken King later this year, and Destiny 2 will be dropping early next year (it was pushed back, out of 2016 so this is an estimate)

This is a great video to show the difference in load times etc.

I have the 2tb 5400rpm drive in my PS4, works great for me. As the video shows it's faster than the stock 500gb drive and 4x the capacity. I can live with it being a little slower than the SSD's.

There might be something more in there. I didn't watch the video since I have no interest in Yahtzee's opinion on anything.

Well speak o' the devil. HGST 1tb @ newegg. Promo code: EMCEGFF34 to bring it down to $50.

So what is the history when it comes to Valentine's Day flash sales? Likely?
I'd say much more than likely. Most definitely it should happen today especially considering the flash sale last month matched up with the historical data for flash sales in January.

Nicely last year had a really solid sale with fighting games... hopefully we get something as good this year as well.
