Eh I've always been curious about The Escapists so I'm grabbing that on the cheap and then Lost Dimensions on Vita because I've been waiting on a good drop on that.

 
For 50% off, I  think I'll bite on the GTA PS2 games. But I don't get why it's basically three for the price of two. Oh well ..

And is it just me, or does it seem like there's a Rockstar sale like once a month.

Might get the GTA Trilogy. I have a 20% off code I need to use by the end of the month for PS4 games, wanted to wait on Zombie Army Trilogy but this may do.

 
Do any of you know if there are any rumors of the Escapist Games coming to Vita at some point?  The game looks interesting to me but it definatly looks like a game I would be more inclined to play on my vita over the PS4

 
This is random but recently played old PS+ Dragon Soup on PS4 this weekend. It was frankly pretty bad. My eyes were hurting a bit with the graphics. Maybe the PC version is cleaner but this version kind of blows. It seems to lag when moving...it feels very janky. I know on one mission I was supposed to protect sheep. Well one wolf got spawned at the extreme other end so I went to kill it (hard to read the mini-map) abd blam immediately a bunch of wolves spawned and I couldn't reach it so I lost the mission cause I was on a bad part of the map. I generally like rogue likes/lights and well this one I didn't like much at all. I will get it in an indie PC bundle, but yeah it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I also generally dislike the crafting as it means you have to go up to every tree and knock them down to collect wood....just gets old quickly. Random rants but generally was just trying to get through my PS+ backlog.

I also played Hands of Fate PS4 and am one mission away from finishing story mode. Pretty fun though the difficultly ramps up heavily in the last 2 rows in story mode. It's well worth getting in a sale and has a nice Batman Arkham type fighting though the guy is less limber. It gets a bit repetitive but is pretty fun anyway. I think I should be able to finish it about 10 hours or so.

Yeah, Dragon Fin Soup is pretty unplayable on PS. It's a known issue.

Creators of Dragon Fin Soup Can't Fix the PlayStation Versions

 
So basically Dragon Fin Soup blames the sloppy port on Bitworks (who own the rights to the game they ported, thus can only be the one to issue patches). Meanwhile Bitworks blames the bugs and sloppy port on getting incomplete source code, porting it as fast as the code was provided, basically up to the game launch.

I love reading about game development, it always amazes me how on point studios really are. They know most all the bugs and bad design issues, but in one way or another a game has to be released.

Not sarcastically, but unless I can't wait, I now wait 2 weeks to play a new game, I know by then the day one and additional patches are released.

Gotta wonder how much of an "upgrade" the PS4 version of Rainbow Moon is. Also concerns me if this becomes a trend where games that may have been crossbuy start getting discounts instead of free versions on the new platform.

The game itself has been $5 probably dozens of times on Vita.

Rainbow Moon was never Cross Buy before. They did the same thing when the Vita version was released, so your concern is unwarranted.

 
Disappointed to see that Snow Days is no longer an option for online play in Rocket League. I'd greatly prefer they bring back the Mutator Mashup playlist with that as an option at least instead of this set-up where there are the four main Unranked options and one temporary playlist.

 
I have been debating getting The Escapists what are peoples thoughts? I am a Walking Dead fan so do I get the bundle with both games or is that just redundant?

That's tempting but both games will probably hit (or have hit) the $10 mark by themselves.

Also have to say that's a very odd pairing for a bundle.

Edit: screw it. It's my birthday. Think I may dive in anyway unless someone can talk me out of it in the next 30 minutes.

This all boils down to personal preferences. I enjoyed my time with Firewatch (even though I thought the ending was kinda whatever), and I think $18 is a totally fair price to pay for it though I'm sure it will go on sale sometime between next month and 3 years.

I'm at the point in my life where I'm starting to prefer shorter experiences over massive games. I only have so much time to play games like Dark Souls 3 or Persona 5.

If I can get a good 3-8 hour game for the price of a Blu-Ray or bottle of Jameson, then I'm absolutely fine with that.

The Wishlist on the web store got an update to offer privacy options (Friends or No One) and you can view PS4 friends' wishlists. I could see gifting through this feature being an option in the March Firmware update. The wishlist limit still seems to be 100 items at the moment.
