This is a decent sale. I might grab The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight Season Pass.  I can wait on The Taken King DLC when it hits less than $20.

Sweet, that 20% off is going to do work this week! Bloodbourne and minecraft... Going to see if the wife will let me pick up FC Primal too...

Will wait for the weekend to see if a flash sale shows up too though. Well played Sony.

Hitman GO is *NOT* cross buy. The Vita version also has a plus discount but isn't being featured on the Plus Deals page. Search for it!

SOMA for 16.50 looks really enticing....but isnt it supposed to be like really really short? Dunno if its worth the 16.50 or not
F*** the time it takes to play the game. Stop basing game quality/worth on that metric. Otherwise I'll make you a 1000 hour game filled with nothing but bulls*** padding and stupid fetch quests, and charge you $100 for it.

Soma will provide you one of the most thought provoking games I've played in a LONG while. It's a beautiful game, very creepy, and is one of the most philosophic games I've ever played. It's so totally worth $16 - It'd be worth it at full price. Not to mention Frictional Games are an awesome indie developer that deserve your support for trying to make new, innovative games that push boundaries and don't just conform to the usual molds. (Granted, I said try, I won't claim that they always succeed in this task.)

So yes, SOMA is so totally worth $16, even if it is on the shorter side. Because length is only one aspect of whether a game is worth it or not, and shouldn't even be the main considering. <end rant>

Yeah, I used mine on The Witness, Firewatch and Divinity during the valentine's day sale. Thinking I should have waited now...

You can keep on waiting. We already had a Flash Sale this month. You wont get another this weekend.

I think the problem is that the Playstation 4 owners who are uninformed that you don't have to actually download their free games, just "buy" them to download later at their own leisure. On a similar note, you can also buy games on platforms you don't own if you go onto the Playstation web store.
I think you guys are off base on this. While I'm sure some of it's true, there's a lot of people who are simply very closed minded about a lot of things in life and won't even consider the thought of something outside of their wheelhouse- even when it's completely free with no obligation.

Sweet Until Dawn and Life is strange are great prices. Kind of would prefer physical versions but those are hard prices to pass up. Until Dawn will occasionally hit $20 on disc but is hard to find on the reg at that price and I will probably play it more than once.

I already own a lot of that list otherwise, but that's still a good sale

The 20% discount codes are only good 1x/account, correct?  Or could I grab another off the trading sub to use, after using the one that came with my PS4 ~2 weeks ago?

I think they just messed it up, the PS4 version is 500ish MBs, but vita version is listed as 1 GB which is around double, which usually is a quirk of crossbuy when all the file sizes are added together. It was announced as crossbuy.

This week's sale is phenomenal. I can finally get Volume at the price I want. Overall I'm looking at:

Volume

Soma

Bit.Trip

Hitman Go

I'd love some thoughts on Soma as I generally love story based games, don't care for horror games (Until Dawn the exception), and can't tell if it's going to get much lower.

SOMA will go lower, but if you like story based games, you will like it. Especially if you have a passing interest in futurism.

It's a good price, but if you have a decent PC, I'd play it there. I played SOMA on my brother's PS4 after playing it on my PC and was underwhelmed. It's probably the kind of stuff that you won't feel too salty about if you haven't been exposed to the PC version, but it's a little rocky on the console. Mod support on the PC too and some people have made some cool stuff.

So many games that I want and so little time since I just bought a bunch of stuff....

Looking at the following games:

Rocket League (didn't have PS+ when this was free)

Life is Strange

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (heard this one sucks compared to the first but I loved the first so....)

Hitman GO: Definitive Edition

Amplitude

Tales from the Borderlands

Which should I wait on that will eventually go cheaper? Or just stick with what I've recently bought and not add to the backlog?

Tales from the Borderlands was just announced for physical, so that might sway some. I can't see the price since I own it. I got it for less than $5 and was quite pleased with that. I don't know why you'd add too many of these to your backlog since Sony seems to recycle games on the same sales quite often lately and some might become PS Plus, etc. I'd bet you'll see almost all of these on sale again in the relatively near future since they've all been on sale before multiple times in many cases (except Hitman, of course).

Are the 20% off PSN vouchers stackable with the spend $100 get $15 back promo? Thanks!
As long as the final price, after applying the 20% off, is $100 or more.

Haven't played Hitman GO or Amplitude. Rocket League, Life is Strange, and Tales from the Borderlands are great. Hotline Miami 2 is good, just not as good as the first.

Based on the games I've played, as well as their price history:

Get Rocket League and Life is Strange. Wait on Tales from the Borderlands and Hotline Miami 2.

Hotline Miami 2 doesn't suck at all and you'll like it if you liked the first game.

I don't think there are very many people that will play every single game they get, even free. I don't think it's being close minded at all to restrict yourself and even pass up free games. I don't buy sports games. I don't like rally racing videogames (tried many because I love racing, I just don't find them fun) or sim racing games.... but I LOVE arcade racing games. There's nothing wrong with knowing what you like and focusing your attention on that, it's just being self-aware. Some people would rather spend an hour playing something that they love rather than wasting that hour trying to find something else to enjoy... especially wasting that hour on a genre they don't enjoy. Some people want to sample everything and that's fine too.

I'm sure there are people that don't get all of the free PS+ games every month for many reasons. I'm sure there are many that get them all and barely download or play any of them. I certainly fall into the second group because I don't fire up all three systems and play everything on PS+ any month. I doubt many people here actually do because there just isn't enough time.

Life is strange looks interesting, but after going through Broken Age I really think I should stay away from point and click games (except Until Dawn, I really want to see what that one is about even though I hate scary games).

Do you guys recommend it or just watching a play through in youtube will suffice. Sigh MGV is also on sale...might be time to bite.

Yo dawg, we heard you like the Vita. So for its birthday, we're putting two games on sale, and permanently cutting access to your PS Mobile purchases!

I bought Life is Strange and hated what I played (maybe half the first episode). I found the dialogue and characters extremely cliche. I'm definitely going to finish it because I think like a good book I'll get acclimated to the tone and style and enjoy it more but I definitely prefer the TellTale stuff.

Also, I've beaten Until Dawn and it's quite great. The choices aren't as amazing as I'd like but you can have a pretty broad combination of people live or die in the game which is miles ahead of any of the choice you'd see in the competition.

So is EGttR worth $10? I enjoyed Firewatch for the most part but this game looks like it's a 100% walking sim.
I bought it because I was interested in the religious aspects and how serious it was going to take everything. The game could/should have been two hours because there are way too many times that the characters don't matter or that traversal is just boring. The music is phenomenal though and some of the ideas are interesting.

Trying to figure out what to get for $100. Definites are:

Firewatch w/Theme ($22)

Rocket League DLC ($14)

Soma ($16.49)

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture ($10)

Trying to figure out a combination for the other $38. Debating:

Gone Home ($20)

Rebel Galaxy ($20)

Crypt of the Necrodancer ($15)

A Boy and His Blob ($10)

Unravel ($20)

Any PS2 Classic besides GTA (haven't played any of them)

Any recommendations?

Honestly getting 15 back isn't that good if you are buying games like Rebel Galaxy at full price. You only need to buy 3 of those games when they are on sale for 5 dollars off to "save" as much money as this promo

Most games you listed like unravel etc can be bought at half price within the next month or 2

I recommend you not spend $100.

There's no need for the recommendation.  We all know that he's going to end up spending over $100 on this sale anyway.

Thanks guys. The only full priced game I'm married to is Firewatch so I guess it doesn't make much sense.

If you were a true CAG you wouldn't spend $100 on games in which some aren't even on sale!

Ok what are the ps+ prices in black ops for the base game and for the version with the season pass?

I've already purchased it and everything is making me login automatically no matter how I try to access it lol.

So MS has four retail games next month for GwG. We already know about Broforce, but would love to see some retail love from Sony this month too.

Awesome sale, think I'll pickup:

Axiom Verge ($12)

Bloodborne ($24)

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture ($10)

Tales From The Borderlands ($6)

Considering some of these games to hit that $100 mark and get $15 back:

Amplitude ($14)

Among the Sleep ($7.50)

Firewatch ($20)

Mega Man Legacy Collection ($15)

Soma ($16.50)

Until Dawn ($24)

The Witness ($40)

I recommend playing LiS. I will say first episode is a little rough. Doesn't pick up till episode 2. From there I was more hooked. The characters get more fleshed out and the story gets more interesting. Give it a shot. Either now or in the future. You shouldn't watch the game.

how does hitman go compare to laura croft go? i've played a bit of that and it's turn based puzzle solving... i assume Hitman is similar, but how significant are the differences?

Hitman GO has a more board game like setting and it's obviously much more focused on stealth and not being seen as opposed to traps and a more "action" focus in Lara Croft GO.

They play similarly. But still feel quite different in tone.

Both are great games. But they still seem better suited to mobile IMO.

Awesome sale? Sir, your definition of awesome is entirely different from mine. Then again, I don't have a PS4 yet, which could be part of the problem.

How well does Far Cry value hold up? I'm considering throwing it in the cart for 20% off but I know it will be a while before I can get to playing it...

I know they go on sale but what kind of time frame until FC Primal goes for 20% off or more?
