Not as great for Vita as I was hoping, after last week.

I did finally pick up Dungeon Travelers after holding out for a discount. Now I can delete Demon Gaze from my system and try to forget it ever existed.

Anyone get their $15 for the spend $100 promo yet? Also, anyone have any opinions on Soma? Im debating between that or The Talos Principle.
Anyone get their 15 dollar credit from the spend 100 promotion from two weeks ago? I know they said it'd be delivered by the 5th. Going to look through the sale now to see if anything piques my interest.
They tend to arrive late at night on the day mentioned.

Really? I bought a physical copy, have put over 20hrs into it already playing coop with a friend. It's not the most visually appealing game and it most definitely is still alpha but was worth what I paid for it through BB GCU
I don't know what it's like on the PS4, I own it on PC (I actually backed it years ago, I rarely ever back a game in Kickstarter etc)
Put a TON of hours into it, it can be a little frustrating at times cause it's not designed for people to "win" like other survival games do.
I haven't played it in a while, but there really was no "safe" base you could build, at night YOU the player were at the disadvantage.

So many times people would hide in an attic or on the roof, block any access up/down and hope the survived the night. (Many didn't, many a house has crumbled with players on the roof. Torn down by the horde below)
Then the devs added flying bee zombies... And zombies that could climb walls.
Seems every time players find a way to protect themselves from the zombies completely, the devs think of a way to put the player back in harms way.

7 days to die was always meant to be a game you WILL lose. (Lose meaning die)
Back in one of the earlier betas, surviving 7 days without a single death was a big achievement. (And it was not easy to obtain)

I won't be buying it on ps4 since I already have it, but anyone interested in the game should really watch videos on YouTube. It's not a typical survival game, you start at the bottom of the food chain... And pretty much spend all your time there. There is no (or was anyway) "build this" and you can survive forever.

If my kids unlocked a ton of (and maybe all?) of the goats on their Android tablets, is it worth getting Goat Sim for them?

I mean it's the same exact thing, right? Maybe even less content (since PS stuff often does)?

Hmmmm....they would play it again though.

Oops, almost forgot.  Is Never Alone good enough to get the DLC?

I have it, I guess, but I've only just gotten the wolf (today, mind you, I just started it on a whim and boom, DLC is on sale).

I guess I can just play it more but does anyone have experience with it or the DLC?

Here is some freebies from playstation lives online quest event thing thanks and feel free to redeem just let others know if u used the codes

Drawn To Death Beta : DGGA-76NE-C6NA

MLB The Show 16 - Standard Pack : L53D-EBN9-QFPM

Kill Strain Beta : EB7G-HPN6-D7QK

Haven't played the DLC, but I plan to pick it up. I just played through Never Alone a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it. Nice to play a 3-4 hour platformer with decent enough controls, good puzzles, and nice graphics. For a little over $1, it's worth it to me to pick up the DLC

Is Demon Gaze that bad? I've had my eye on it for a while but it's never been at a price I felt comfortable paying. Dungeon Travelers 2 is on my short list of things to buy this week. Think I'll remove GoW 3 Remastered from that list and add Talos Principle based on the praise it's getting here and elsewhere.

Anybody have experience with Lost Dimension? I'll also throw in a recommendation for Super Mega Baseball for $6. Got it on Steam at launch and had a ton of fun with it.

Demon Gaze is an okay dungeon crawler but nothing great. If you like dungeon crawlers and need more, it's an okay buy if you can find it for less than $20. If you're not familiar with the genre, there are far better games of it's type to dip your feet in.

Lost Dimension physical has reached $20~ before. I really didn't like it tbh. The characters and story were terribly bland and one dimensional. It's actually hurt by the random nature of the traitors which was a key gameplay mechanic. Only redeeming factor of the game was the combat which was alright but nothing revolutionary. If it ever goes down to $10, which it might since it's published by atlus, it might be worth a buy then.

I did the 2 TB seagate expansion to ps4 hard drive swap and now it matters little to me what size things are. Good investment.
Same here! Except my reasoning was to be able to install all past purchases, play those and stop spending so much. Now I'm determined to fill up the 2tb with more purchases. Plan=Fail!

The changelog for the new Alienation update, which has some cool stuff in it beyond the big thing. The leagues seem like a cool addition where you're matched up with nine other players for a week where your XP totals are tallied up and the top five move up to the next tier along with getting a cool reward, which is a new ruby ammo color. There are three new trophies with two focusing on local co-op. The rest seem to be more tweaks and new stuff for the DLC.

On a different note, I just got off chat with PSN and they had to verify and issue my $15 code through there. No clue as to why it did not show up in email or through messenger.

Demon Gaze is a decent dungeon RPG, and I actually kind of enjoyed it (I typically hate Wizardry-like games). My wife (who typically loves drpgs) really enjoyed Dungeon Travelers 2.

Thoughts on Lost Dimension? Is it worth the sale price?
I really enjoyed Lost Dimension. The combat was fun, as was the traitor mechanic (since you can equip other characters with the slain person's abilities to open up some new skills). I got a review copy and went through the game almost twice before I had to move on to other stuff.

I loved it enough to take the time to get the platinum. Game play wise it works similarly to the Valkria Chronicles turn-based combat on a grid system. So if you like that you will like this I would think. The traitor mechanic ensures your walk through will be different then others' and you won't be able to game faqs your way through it, making it challenging. With careful logical reasoning you will be able to identify the traitors or at least get it down to 2, making it a coin toss situation. I highly recommend

yeah the random isn't random enough since many people have commented getting the same traitors in a row. Which really sucks since some party member combinations are better than others. Plus you have to play through the game twice to get the true ending >.>

I bought it for around 16$ during a go hastings sale :D

Got my $15 code which confirms that Vue sub payments do count for that sort of thing. Expected it to but you can't count it until it happens.

So I just played that Paragon for 2 matches, and yup, I guess that's a moba. Got my taste and no desire to play it anymore. I can see why some folks like it, but ehhhhh, not for me.

From everything I've read, go with Talos.

Think I'll remove GoW 3 Remastered from that list and add Talos Principle based on the praise it's getting here and elsewhere.

No, Demon Gaze is definitely good. It's a beginner's DRPG, none of its systems are particularly complex and there's some cool lewt mechanics. Balance is solid, there's one early boss who can give a whooping but it's a skill gate -- learn to use summons you have and it's easy.

Demon Gaze is an okay dungeon crawler but nothing great. If you like dungeon crawlers and need more, it's an okay buy if you can find it for less than $20. If you're not familiar with the genre, there are far better games of it's type to dip your feet in.
I actively disagree with this. If you're familiar with DRPGs, there are much better games out there. But if you're not too familiar with them, I think Demon Gaze is perfect for that. It's often named as a 'beginner' drpg just like Jeanne D'arc is a intro to srpgs.

Once you've played Demon Gaze, you're better prepared for more complex mechanics like Stranger of Sword City, Operation Abyss, or Dungeon Travelers 2.

There is no challenge to the traitor mechanic because you can replay levels as many times as you like in order to narrow down your suspect list. Then you will use at most 1-2 deep vision points to find the true traitor. You're given more than enough deep vision points to get through the whole game as long as you are properly identifying your suspects.

Combat wise, I would say the addition of powers gives the game more variety than Valkyria Chronicles. You'll be using all of the characters throughout the game so it's good that they tend to feel unique to one another. Especially with the mandatory multiple playthroughs to get the true ending and the plat.

Is PS4 notification the only way to get your $15 voucher?  I'm sorta on a different continent.  :/  For some reason I was thinking that it would be an email or added directly to my wallet.

@NotEric-you said it yourself when you said "as long as you are properly identifying your suspects". That is the challenge. Point is you have to solve problem and no one can do it for you.

I misidentified a couple times going into the voting room, using up all my vision points in the process. So i was left with 2 suspects each time going in. I went 1 for 2 on those occasions. No i never cloud save scummed in there at any point, either

I enjoyed Lost Dimension. The PS3 disc version has been cheaper than that before (I think the low was gamefly for $15), but that's the cheapest the vita version has been.

Here's a review I did for it.

Its better than most and I do have about 30+ hours in it, but late game becomes very party dependent and there are some parties that become incredibly difficult when the difficulty spikes for some bosses. Since you can't keep extra party members trained, you either become very reliant on RNG to win a fight/find better gear or you have to take the three or four hours to grind a party member up in the "correct" class.

I could maybe recommend it if its cheap and your aren't a completionist because the first 20+ hours are great intro dungeon crawling and it has some great enemy and character art. If you don't mind difficulty, DT2 should be better all the way around. The only caveat on DT2 is the fanservice is a bit obnoxious.

Thanks for the info here guys, I appreciate it.

I thought I had missed it. Do they always send them out this late?
One more comment: Demon Gaze was probably the best dungeon crawler on the Vita til Dungeon Travelers came out. And it's still better than Operation Abyss (same people as Demon Gaze). Only one I'm not sure about is Ray Gigant, cause I haven't played it. So it's still in the top three, IMO.

That said, based on the above, and its age, I still would say don't buy it over ~$10.

I do agree Demon Gaze is a pretty good DRPG. The customization for characters is somewhat lacking, but the dungeons and challenge are good. Also the item system is alright too, though it could be hard to get the items you want. I have only played Dungeon Travelers of the rest, but it's excellent and very tough. It also has a lot of post game content. Plus very cute girls!

I went into DT2 expecting a huge learning curve, but it was actually OK. Really loved that game, I did a very detailed team composition break down before so don't want to repeat it, but main point is have expensive but powerful AOE skills aided by Maid's auto/manual recovery, grinding is a lot easier this way.

DT2-2 is in the works right?
