Man, Ys Origins is not on sale anymore. I thought the sale was going to last at least til Tuesday.
It was extended ~3 days or so. It had already been on sale for 1-2 weeks.

Just got an email from PSN for Monster Hunter:

You've battled Xeno'jiiva, unraveled mysteries and slain the Elder Dragons. Astera is deeply thankful for your service, brave hunter. Use the code below to download a set of two custom PS4 themes and six avatars.

Anyone else have PS4 Zen Pinball 2 tables on their wishlist, but now they have switched to Pinball FX3? Really forcing the buying of Pinball FX tables. Weird.

The PS4 versions have been delisted for a while, you'd want to buy the PS3 or Vita versions instead, which were on sale for a couple of weeks during BF.

I bought those tables last week, just hadn't noticed the change in the wish list. Not that it matters, I can't get the tables to sync with ZP2 on ps4 anyway. No big deal.

I believe somebody mentioned that if you grab the other version (PS3 or Vita) of those tables, it'll fix that.

Apparently not for me. They've installed on vita, and ps3, but not ZP2 on ps4. Transferred perfectly to Pinball FX on ps4 though. Again, not a big deal (just annoying).

I also with difficulty could get the tables to appear in FX3 on PS4 but not in ZP2 on PS4 despite having them on ZP2 on PS3 and Vita.

I'll just play them on FX3 but it's the principle.

Looking at some titles in this current sale.

Eagle Flight

Dark Rose Valkyrie

Omega Quintet

Cyberdimension 4 Goddesses Online

School Girl/Zombie Hunter

Any thoughts on any of these?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Agreed. My son, for some reason, loves watching ZP2 more than FX3, so he gets a little upset when I try and explain it to him.

Just watched a review on Eagle flight and it’s a 4hr campaign with a CTF online multiplayer mode. Looks fun but it might be a PS+ freebie in the future if Sony keeps offering VR games for plus.

Managed to take out Sean Bean in the new Elusive Target mission in Hitman 2, though it was easier than I was expecting:

This is what bugs me about the way Hitman does the elusive targets.. I'd love to do all 3 of those scenarios they suggested. I'm playing RDR2 still... not stopping to start an entirely new game just for those targets.

I love how they have them, just not the ability to go back later and try them in a different way or even be able to do them when you buy the game on sale months after release. I just picked up Hitman 1 over BF for cheap, can't do any of them.

IMO what they needed to do is lock them behind a timed achievement/trophy instead. After that time expires... you can still do them, but zero achievement/trophy.

I'd think an archive of the Elusive Targets to let you play them afterwards with no rewards attached to them would ideal and doable.

I would absolutely hate that. I wouldn't even buy the game if they had unobtainable trophies. I rarely play a game the moment it comes out, so if I was being told, "Hey, you only have a limited time to get this trophy before it expires," I'd just pass over the game entirely. I'd rather they not include elusive targets at all over tying them to trophies.

Hitman 2 has no plat? Again? They are cruel. I heard hitman 2 has all the missions of 1. Is this true? I only did a couple missions in 1, the free ones.... The mansion, etc... But I did each a ton of times, perfecting the various challenges. Hitman 2 physical worth it for 30?

Or am I better off getting hitman goty for 15?

If you own the first season, probably the GOTY version, the DLC pack for Hitman 2 is free. It basically gets you two trophy lists for the $15 in both versions, which is well worth it. If you enjoyed the bits you've played of Hitman so far, it's well worth grabbing the GOTY while its on sale and Hitman 2 to have all of the content, which will last a long time.

Quick reminder for anyone like me who almost forgot to grab what they wanted from the flash sale. Also, the Vita version of Cosmic Star Heroine isn't 6 GB like it shows in the store:

So I have two PS4s. I've been able to access all my games on both because I researched what needed to be done in regards to which system to make primary and all that good stuff back when I got my second system last year. Just now I go to play The Show on the system I ALWAYS play it on (including less than two hours ago) and there's the lock symbol. Of course my first thought is to restore my licenses but I get "An error has occurred (CE-38732-3) every time I try (three times total so far).

Any ideas?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. Seems like PSN is down? That would certainly do it.

I think PSN is down at the moment. I couldn't get to the ps store website.

I'd think an archive of the Elusive Targets to let you play them afterwards with no rewards attached to them would ideal and doable.
This is a good idea. A lot of the fun in Hitman is seeing how many ways you can take out a target, and when you only get one shot at it you feel shoehorned into only using certain methods (in Hitman 1 it was the exploding fire extinguisher "accident kill"). I would love to try out a few different methods on each target without having to use an entirely separate account, especially an account that wouldn't have any unlocks.

That being said, there's definitely a sense of elation you get when you can get the kill and escape unseen, knowing you have no save backups. I just finished the Sean Bean hit and it was a thrill to get the Silent Assassin rating. 45 minutes of running around, multiple disguises, luckily running into the camera recorder room, until I eventually found his photo and was able to use the robot to kill him, only to realize I didn't know where the exits were. Good stuff.

If you bought Hitman 2 during Cyber Monday and were putting off playing it, at least load up this elusive target to unlock the explosive pen.

Note to self: PS+ codes from Amazon can expire. I got my money refunded but a week after sales have ended doesn’t do me a lot of good.

Should have told them you wanted a replacement rather than a refund as the price has gone up since you initially purchased it. Sometimes the rep is nice enough to work with you, at least they have with me on physical goods.

I hope they have something good this week.
Usually when PS+ games drop the sales tend to be pretty weak. That said we might see the start of the Christmas sales. Last year they did 2 2-week sales which lasted throughout the entire month of December. But that was different than previous years, so who knows if we will see that again.

I know it isn't currently on sale, but does anyone have anything positive or negative to say about Steep?
It's a pretty fun game solo with an excellent indie/electronic soundtrack. It works best when it's focused on racing, as the sense of speed as you're threading the needle through a patch of trees with crunching snow or flying off a cliff is a real rush. The chill vibe on the missions where you just have to get from point A to B down a hill are cool to zone out to as well.

What doesn't really work are the misc. specialties like the wingsuit (turns into a frustrating Battletoads hoverbike blind muscle memory scenario towards the end) or paragliding (intolerably slow with awful controls, and if you miss a gate you have to start all over again). The trick system is also not particularly good. It's fine in conjunction with the point A to B missions, but if you ever come across halfpipes or obstacle courses its weakness becomes apparent. Finally, the always online DRM prevented me from playing multiple times even within the only few weeks I had the game, which is annoying.

Yeah, it was meant to be a refund and then promo credit to make up the difference when reordering but it turns out promo credit doesn’t apply to digital goods.

Sorry for the spam again, but my game Emerald Shores just launched today on Vita (& PlayStation TV).  It's cross-buy with PS4, so if you bought the PS4 version that launched a few weeks ago, the link should show up as Free for you: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0770-PCSE00859_00-EMERALDSHORES001

edit: also, the trophy lists are identical but separate, so trophy hunters can get two fairly quick platinums for the price of one

How old was the code you were trying to redeem? I still have a card or two in a drawer I bought from back when they were on sale for $30. I'm going to be very annoyed if they don't work either.

Digital code from last Black Friday. Figured I could skip out on buying this year because I had one sitting around.

Mine is a physical card and still works. I bought it five years ago. I did have a PSN wallet card expire after a couple of years that I lost money on since I wasn't able to get it refunded or replaced.

How come no launch discount on the vita version?
I was on the fence with that - I wanted to, but thought it might suck for people who bought the PS4 version, especially since I know many of the PS4 purchasers bought it mainly to play on Vita. I wanted to do a PS4 launch discount last month, but I got sidetracked with all of the rest of the publishing+patching stuff and didn't submit it in time.
