From what I read the studio that made Just Cause 2 didn't work on 3 or 4 at all.  The JC2 studio made Mad Max and is working on Rage 2.

How is Just cause 3 is it worth the XXL edition purchase?

Sale is already over, but I would say if you do get the game, you will want the XXL version. The first DLC (which you can play a couple chapters in) gives you access to a rocket powered wingsuit with weapons that you can use during the campaign which makes it much more enjoyable to fly around. It basically turns you into Iron Man. The 2nd DLC gives you big mechs, which I got less use out of than the rocket wingsuit, but still enjoyable. The 3rd DLC gives you basically Knightboat, which I did not use much.

Basically you will want to decide at the top whether you want to get the DLC or not, and then play it as they become available in the campaign. Their primary benefit is they provide quality of life improving equipment so If you are going to save them to play at the end of the campaign then you might as well just skip the DLC. Only the first DLC, the sky fortress, has a unique locale. The other 2 are pretty generic locations.

edit: Oh, I forgot the 3rd DLC also comes with the lightning gun, that is fun to play around with.

I knew time was of the essence so since it is under 10 bucks I did pick it up the XXL version but thanks to everyone who responded. And I will use the DLC stuff as soon as possible.

Lol, if you cant find it in you to give these Devs $18 for their amazing and incredibly unique game, then you should probably stop gaming.
The writing, story, and voice acting are some of the worst I’ve experienced in such a high profile game. The uniqueness is a novelty that wears off after a little bit of play time. It’s not worth over $15.

I realize everyone has opinions in a wide spectrum, but this is the first highly positive one I recall seeing for A Way Out. Pretty much everything i've seen and heard has been mediocre to abysmal regarding opinions on this game. I have not played it, so I have no opinion except the limited amount of preview, etc. I saw did not look promising or interesting. Perhaps it all hinges on the play partner...

I was highly interested in A Way Out but it seemed to be all but forgotten in the gaming world when it released, nobody was praising or panning it that i saw

when there's no buzz it usually means it's average at best

it's a year old now, i think it should be on sale for about 10 at this point

Can finally rebuy Burnout Paradise after trading in my physical copy at GameStop when it was trading for almost $20!

For all those talking about A Way Out... Played it with a friend when it first came out. I really really enjoyed it. The acting isn't the best but it's such a different experience from anything else I've played. Really unique and really cool and I would argue worth $18

A lot of these EA sales feel even more mediocre if you have a gaming PC or Xbox One to use EA Access with. Something I've been meaning to do just to play a couple titles (A Way Out, Unraveled, The Sims 4)

Just read on Twitter that Path of Exile is finally coming to PS4 on March 26th, along with its new expansion Synthesis. I'm excited to try it.

I looked around the thread + check some stores.
Does anyone know of a cheap place to get ps+ currently? I just want to be able to add MW Remaster to my collection from PS+ before it disappears.

Sony in “advanced board level discussions” to buyout Rockstar parent company Take-Two – rumor

According to a MarketWatch report (via Daniel Ahmad), Sony is currently in “advanced board level discussions” regarding the acquisition of Take-Two Interactive. It’s said to be looking at a “cash deal,” value the company at $130 share, per Joel Kulina of Wedbush Securities.

Huge if true. Wow. GTA and RDR exclusive to Sony platforms if this turns out true.
Why would they cut the money that is being made on those games in half?

Exactly. There is no amount of money Sony can give them that would come close to what they would continue to make long term being on both. Pretty sure their history doesn't indicate that they hate money, so this would be a total shocker.

Xbox looks like it is going third-party, streaming Game Pass to anything with a screen. And Microsoft/Nintendo definitely is not even close to half of the market when you have PC, Sony, and Mobile on the other end of things. Odds are they will continue Take Two as its own thing, just like MS does with Mojang/Minecraft.

Because an immediate 35% premium return to investors is an offer you have to take seriously.

No profitable company would ever merge if what you said was a commonly held belief.

They would also realize a lot of cost savings from leveraged practices and sadly reduced headcounts.

They could theoretically guarantee their investors a large cash windfall and give the company extended life as part of a merger.

There are always reasons to listen and negotiate on these things. But ultimately it is the boards job to deliver value to shareholders and I while TT makes good money they aren’t going to return 30%+ to their shareholders that fast.

And No Sony won’t operate them as usual. This acquisition would be to position Sony and their next console and future streaming services/PsNow for the future. Remember Google is coming.

They may allow historically PC games to stay that way and current multi-plat projects will finish out that way, but future work will strictly be focused on the Sony brands and platforms.

You buy a company with a library lf TT knowing you will lose some revenue stream with the acquisition but you will gain lowered costs and competitive advantage by owning those desirable Ips

Doubt they would let Take Two do their own thing.  So much exclusive money to be made, and it would sell their hardware like no other.  Then again, who knows.

I think Sony and Microsoft see the writing on the wall and know that proprietary hardware isn't going to last in the long run. Buying up IP and developers with a solid track record is a good move when considering the future of game streaming and mobile/PC marketshare.

Very interesting if the rumor turns out to be true.  I mean, a good collection of exclusive games is the biggest factor that made PS4 number one this generation in my opinion, so I wouldn't be surprised if Sony makes GTA 6 (if it's not already in development for multi-platforms) or RDR 3 a PS5 exclusive.  Even within the latest trend of games-as-a-service, game streaming, cross platform, no physical discs, and so forth, exclusive games are here to stay and will remain as an important factor for an average consumer in deciding a platform.

I personally think it will not be a good thing for the future of Take Two though.

I'll believe it when I see it ... was Dec then Feb then early March then GGG went silent until yesterday
Not exactly. They said December then February, then mid March and also said they would give an announcement about 2 weeks before launch.

But I see your point.
