Any active PSN cards/credit discounts at the moment?  Looking for a discount to combine with yesterday's 20% off coupon.

Even if it's only 5% or 10% off face value I'd be interested...

I know right? I used to live for those 30% off pcgamesupply PSN codes deals. eBay too... seems like the last solid deal was 15% off 50$ cards from PayPal two weeks ago... sigh

I used to use Bing rewards to redeem Amazon credit, and then turned the Amazon credit to PSN credit.  Unfortunately the Sony/Amazon feud has resulted in PSN credit being removed from Amazon... (again) sigh

wow I didn't know that happened as well

oh well I let my prime expire a few months ago anyway so I don't get the 5% rewards on it anymore

I pretty much have no reason to click amazon anymore which is crazy considering how huge it was for my shopping for well over a decade

Damnit, when did this happen? I just bought some credit last month, and was going to buy some credit to get God of War with the 20% off coupon. Ugh.

It has been this way for years now, so it is obviously a fine business strategy.
So any poor behavior magically becomes "obviously" acceptable merely because "it's [already] been this way for years"?

waiting about 2 years to save 20 - 40 dollars isn't much of a deal if you really wanted to play the game at launch
Speaking for yourself, I suppose. Guess I've outgrown this "GOTTA GET NOW WHILE IT'S FRESH" mentality. The point still stands: EA is not invoking good faith towards its most valuable consumers. So as a result, now I'm increasingly becoming one of their invaluable customers. Not making an empirical statement, simply sharing how it affects me and its result.

Just going to correct my original claim. Looks like the lower PSN credit amount of $10, $20, and $25 are no longer available on Amazon, but PSN credit amounts above $50 are still available. If I had to guess I'd assume Sony is no longer supplying Amazon with PSN credit codes. Amazon probably sold out of the lower denominations, and the higher ones will probably be gone when they run out as well...

Still, it's the lower credit amounts that were most convenient to purchase, so this whole situation is annoying.

Funny enough the whole time I played Far Cry 4, I kept thinking how much better Far Cry 3 was. Far Cry Primal on the other hand was fantastic. Haven't started Far Cry 5 yet, but seeing you say this makes me sad that the series keeps degrading.
Far Cry Primal was really good, but I'm very glad I played it before I got to Horizon Zero Dawn, because HZD is like FCP but with an incredible SF plot layered in. I think it might have ruined me for FCP if I had played it first.

I see you just corrected this above, but I was going to say I just bought a $50 PSN from Amazon yesterday. It's always nice to get some no-rush shipping discounts on those codes.

PSN credit codes have gone out of stock in the past, and were back in stock after a couple of days. And it was the $10 and $20 codes that went out of stock.

It was more concerning when it happned shortly before God of War was released because all Sony digital codes went out of stock; PSN credit and PS+ subscriptions. But this time the higher PSN credit values and PS+ codes are still up.

I'm guessing the much more popular $10 and $20 codes just sold out. The only thing I might worry about is if Sony decided to allow Amazon to sell the codes they still had, but weren't going to provide Amazon with any more once those sold out. But that's just guesswork. I'll give it a few days.

I’m pretty sure Heavy Rain is included with the deluxe edition whether you preorder or not. Read the description carefully as it’s listed right under the included extras for the Deluxe Edition and I believe it’s another cleverly worded store description to make you feel the need to preorder but based upon what it says I think the only thing you’re getting with the preorder is an exclusive theme and the ability to “instantly download and play” Heavy Rain rather than wait until after release.
Did some research and it does indeed come with Heavy Rain which more then likely means it will probably be free for PSplus in a few months but I'ma just wait till game goes live tomorrow and use my code then. Thanks for the heads up

Hey guys, I just got a PS4 this past week and was wondering how often the Uncharted games (Collection/4/Lost legacy) go on sale digitally. I’m coming from the Xbox side of the sales where store parser would tell me when a game has been on sale and what price it was at the time.

I was also wanting your recommendations on the earlier exclusives such as the latest Killzone and Infamous. Worth buying on physical or do they also go on sale digitally pretty frequently?

The Uncharted Collection is pretty regularly on sale for $8.

Infamous and Killzone both go on sale quite a bit digitally. Infamous I would say is worth playing but Killzone not so much. U can get Infamous for around 8-10 bucks digitally if u have PSplus if you wait on a sale. Uncharted games have been on sale in past but it's been a little while iirc so probably due for another sale on them soon. First game you should be looking into and playing that is Sony exclusive thought is Last of Us followed closely by Bloodborne and then Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War.

I ended up getting 3 out of the 4 games when I got my PS4. I will for sure get bloodborne at some point. Thanks for letting me know about infamous. I have a lot of catching up to do on the exclusives.

You need Horizon: Zero Dawn.

There's no way to see the code right away after redeeming points on Sony Rewards, right?  I know at one time there was a trick to it but I'm assuming I'm stuck waiting a few days.

Bloodborne. It doesn’t go on sale that often but you can probably pick it up for 20 or less these days with the dlc. And you definitely want the DLC.

Debating going completely digital

Can anyone tell me the pros/cons?  Also I don't sell games if at all, so I don't have to worry about that.  Trying to see if it is finally time to ditch physical media and make my life less cluttered and easier lol.

Do it! You've already answered the number one reason people tend to hesitate so I can't think of any reason you shouldn't. The biggest perk for me other than the obvious not having to get up to change games is that I have multiple systems in my house and me and my son can play the same game at the same time together. That might not apply to you whatsoever but it's pretty nice.

I have so many sealed games that are worth a good amount of cash, it is stupid lol. Also not even counting the LRG that I have accumulated over the past year.

Physical:

Pro: You can always play the game. Provided your system works and you take care of the disc, you will still be able play it whether it's next week, a year from now, or 20 years from now.  Being online is not a requirement to install the game (so if you lose the internet or we lose net neutrality, no worries.)  If you have little space on your hard drive and need to do a lot of installing/uninstalling, it's faster to install large games from disc than download ~60gb of data from online.

Con: Discs can be damaged, lost or physically stolen.

Digital:

Pro: No need to get up and swap discs provided the games you want to play are installed.

Cons: You don't own the games, you only license them. Sony has the authority to remove them from your account if the mood takes them. No guarantee they will keep games available forever; for example, they may stop allowing you to download your PS3 purchases in 5, 10, whatever years because they don't think anyone plays PS3 anymore. Need to continually install/delete games because you'll run out of space fast, can't rollback to the first version of a game if a later patch nerfs the game.

I'm doing it. If I see a significant sale on a game I own physically I'll pick it up digitally. Then I'll pull it from my shelf and set it aside for when Gamestop trade values are up/there's a significant promo boost. Been using that trade credit to put towards money for my PSN wallet. It's a cycle, and I'd like to say that I've actually made a bit doing it too (being a CAG and all).

You forgot that friends can borrow your game and you can sell or trade it if you need money or don't want the game anymore. Usually cheaper too. Physical will always be better.

Damnit, when did this happen? I just bought some credit last month, and was going to buy some credit to get God of War with the 20% off coupon. Ugh.
I last purchased a digital PSN gift card from Amazon on April 30th. Came back later that day to buy another and found they were out of stock. Almost a month later still waiting for $10 or $20 to be restocked.

I am debating about the street fighter v arcade ultimate edition for $39.19 after the 20% off since season 3 pass is $29.99 by itself

I like digital for games that I want to pick up and play for short bursts.

Grand Theft Auto IV recently had a ton of licensed tracks removed from the main game and DLC episodes.  If you download the digital versions you can't recover those tracks.  So big pro for the physical version in this case.

Is there a way to use the 10 digit discount code (20% off) when preordering a game?

Nevermind, Looks like they don't work on the preorders.

You do not know what this word means unless you're saying you buy all of their games at launch at full price along with all of the DLC at full price.

Can anyone familiar with The Elder Scrolls Online tell me if this:

The Elder Scrolls® Online: Morrowind

Includes the base game and all addons except Summerset?  Or is it just the base game and Morrowind but none of the other addons?

This is a great idea, one that absolutely should happen. It's chances of actually happening though approach 0%.
they were cool though about not offering external by making sure a large majority of the games are ridiculous in size when compared to other systems of the same generation

so that was nice of them

They were. Issue with the keys and only Steam ones were ready. They are giving them out via fangamer site. If you have only console, you get a temp steam key.
I'm not that disappointed with the delay. I could play it on Steam but I'm getting Detroit tomorrow and that should keep me busy for at least a week. The Steam codes for Curse of the Moon expire on June 8th so I'm assuming that's the longest it will take to get the PS4 keys out to backers.

it includes ESO base game and Morrowind expansion. If you want all the addons, then you should go for ESO Gold edition. I'm not sure if they have updated that to include Morrowind tho

Any active PSN cards/credit discounts at the moment? Looking for a discount to combine with yesterday's 20% off coupon.

Even if it's only 5% or 10% off face value I'd be interested...
GMG currently has 8% off Playstation stuff with the promo code: PS8
https://www.greenmangaming.com/consoles/ps4/

edit: It says on titles, but I remember an earlier post saying it works on other PS things.

8% off Playstation items at Green Man Gaming with the voucher code PS8. Can be used on games, credit and PS+ memberships.
