It looks pretty ugly to me too. The usual uninspired Sony design that only looks somewhat cohesive when standing on it's side. The controller is even worse.

It really could use a bit more blue and lot less spider.
 
I also felt Enter the Gungeon was too punishing for its own good, but 2 hours with the game probably isn't enough to make that judgement unless you just hate the genre in general.

Gamestop has the physical Afterbirth+ (super-full version) on sale for $29.99 new ($24.99 used if you're lucky enough to find a copy used)

That's the way to go for the game, it includes a ton more in it...and you can sell it easily if you ever get bored with it. It's such a rare game physical that it will always retain its value.

It was free for PS+ when it came out in 2014, went on sale once in 2015, and hasn't seen any discount since...so no, it doesn't go on sale.

I really like the new console. Better than some Nathan Drake piece on the side, to do the full color and symbol is a good choice.

I am tempted to upgrade to the pro with this after trading in my old ps4 of course but then I’m reminded I’m a cag and the ps4 has about 2 years left in its product cycle and a new console probably isn’t a good investment because I’ll probably jump to what’s new because I like new electronics.

I'm with ya. This console gave me the push to finally get my first Sony console. I already have a Switch and Xbox One.

I love the design, but I also love Spiderman (and am excited about finally being able to play all the other exclusives).

 
I just think it's funny that Insomniac/Sony doubled down on all the hate the white-spider-emblem design received from fans, putting a huge white emblem on the console and making all the buttons on the controller white!

I'll give my full agreement to this. I am horrible at BoI vanilla and never beat Mom once EVER.

But my kids bought me Afterbirth+ physical and I hemmed and hawed about opening it....and I am so much better at it. It's just a better game with more things to unlock and an overall better time. My kids think that I am great. Best my money that they ever spent.

Might be if you could resell it before the announcement for a shiny penny. If Spiderman becomes a cult hit, it'll be a good investment.. unlike the SWBF2 lol

That's the way to go for the game, it includes a ton more in it...and you can sell it easily if you ever get bored with it. It's such a rare game physical that it will always retain its value.

It was free for PS+ when it came out in 2014, went on sale once in 2015, and hasn't seen any discount since...so no, it doesn't go on sale.

Grabbed a copy earlier. Had it on Switch but I sold my console almost a year ago and really want to play it again.

Must be rdcent, i got hit for it at the very end of the mudsummer sale.

However, I kind of liked it because it always gave me a few psychological dollars off the next purchase.

Just now I ordered a $10 code through the desktop website using only rewards points, and I also got the coupon code on confirmation page. I guess Sony Rewards updated the way they handle PSN code purchases. I added the $10 to my account a couple minutes before I got the Sony Rewards confirmation e-mail.

Between the Sony Rewards trophy passes and the points I earned from PSN purchases I have already redeemed two $10 PSN codes this year. Usually I have to put in an extra $3.00 or $4.00 when redeeming a $10 code shortly before the points I earned expire. I think Sony Rewards has become really awesome.

We can still complain about the 10-limit cart capacity when there are 10/20% off coupons.

And that we can't buy games we have PS+ while we are subbed to PS+ when they go on sale.

And the fact that there's absolutely no option/way to change my PSN username. At least I can pay $10 (a bit pricey) on XBL to change my gamertag if I want to.

Yup, those no rush credits expire. Search your email for "Benefit Confirmation for your Order" and you should found the exact date. Just a heads up, Amazon limited what they can be used on earlier this year. My $2 no rush credit with a Sep 5th expiration from two March orders still work for psn, but I've read that the ones that expire in Oct are no longer working.

I am willing to bet a significant sum of money that once they turn off the servers for PS3 and Vita, you will be able to change your name. Plus for PS3/Vita ends March '19. I give the servers about 6-12 months after that so either Xmas '19 or Summer '20 at the latest.

Lol. What servers are you talking about? Store? They aren't turning those off. Game? There are no 'vita' servers. There are psn servers, there are store servers, but im really scratching my head trying to figure out what you think they are going to turn off.

Yes, the store. It may seem like they would want to sell you stuff into perpetuity, but remember, Sony already closed their PS Mobile store. Vita already has it's own storefront. I'd wager that to be the first to go.

The point being that purchases tied to Vita and PS3 store is most likely the hardest thing for them to account for on the backend. If not for some sort of architectural limitation, it would make no business sense to prevent this. Reasoning would suggest that the PS3/Vita stores are the big problem.
