No Man's Sky is $9.97 "new" over at GS. That was my buy price and the copy I picked up was still factory sealed. Of course this doesn't help you if you only want digital versions of games.

A couple times I've gotten ready with my headset, headphones, and controllers, then saw the blue disc icon when I went to launch the game; "shit".

I also prefer to have my PSVR games digital, but a few physical sales have been too good to pass up.

 
I rarely ever play more than one game at a time, so I don't have an issue swapping discs. I start a game, the disc goes in my drive, it doesn't come out until I've completed/platinumed it. Only once a week will I briefly put a disc or two in when I'm in the process of a different game; Doing the weekly "Extra Battles" in Street Fighter 5 and collecting the holiday loot boxes in Overwatch when an event is going on. I don't know how you guys keep track of everything happening in a bunch of different games all at once.

 
For anyone who cares, Castlevania Requiem is back on sale...for $5 more than it was a couple days ago. Even if we do get a 20% off coupon tonight, I can't get it now just on principal.

I only play one game at a time too. But I can watch a movie or let my kids watch a movie without needing to take my digital game out. In addition to the basic convenience of this, it also means I can just keep my game suspended in the background, which is a big plus.

Dirt Rally is close to the pinnacle of the rally racing genre. For anti-grav racing I would recommend Wipeout Omega Collection over Redout any day of the week. Also, Redout was on sale for a couple bucks cheaper last month.

I prefer digital for all the games that have daily/weekly quests like Street Fighter V, Injustice, Mortal Kombat, Battlefront 2, Forza Horizon, etc. where I can drop in and mess around for 20 minutes or so. If I had to constantly swap discs I would just end up never playing them.

Seems like about 200 games were added to the Holiday Sale page, including the Flash Sale games for some reason, so I'll have a list of that stuff in a bit.

I can't do it either. Just remembering the different complicated control schemes is a whole other ball game. I play one game, beat it or ditch it, then put it behind me for the foreseeable future.

How many games are you playing in a single VR session? I pretty much never find myself in need of switching discs mid-session unless I’m showing of the VR to a friend, in which case I don’t have the headset on anyway
 
So I often do mini reviews here, so maybe some of you know my tastes. Twin stick shooters. Puzzle games. Card games. Tactical games. Hard turn based combat. Tower Defense. Roguelites and Rogue likes. I also like AAA games, but my general tastes mean that I just scoured through like 1500 games over the past 2 weeks trying to come up with a list of games worth buying.

Some of you may be interested, because I doubt many people would put as much energy as I just did into researching 1000+ obscure games.

Here's the list of games that I'm probably getting. In no particular order...

Road Redemption. This is part of the flash sale. Extremely well-reviewed, if you like Road Rash get it.

Road rage. Unlike Redemption this one gets bad reviews. I'm still going to check it out.

Atomine - cool looking dual stick shooter

Transcripted - mashup of a dual stick shooter, Match 3, and Zuma that gets solid reviews

Stardust Galaxy Warriors - co-op dual stick shooter

Blacksea oddysey- roguelite dual stick shooter where you hunt bosses with a harpoon

True fear - cheap but solidly reviewed hidden object game / survival horror.

Lovely planet - looks like a cute little shooter for $0.49

Limelight - cheap puzzle game

Neighborhorde - cheap Co-op dual stick shooter

City skylines - I'm probably not going to get this cuz it's over budget, but it looks like an amazing City Sim game. I might spoil myself and get it.

The above are all games I haven't actually played. I posted a list of hidden gems that I have played last week if anyone's interested.

If anyone has any feedback on the above list, let me know. If something sucks oh, I wouldn't want to get it.

Also, can I get some feedback on Thumper. Is it a rhythm game or an action game? I'm not really into Rhythm games but I do like games like rez

Regarding the alert idea - psdeals.net seems promising for this exact purpose. I don't think you can import your wishlist, but you can re-add those items from your wishlist onto their site once you create a profile. I just discovered the site yesterday and about to register now.

It's kinda a rhythm game but it takes a lot of skill. Rez is an apt comparison. It looks really great in VR mode and there is an excellent demo on the VR demo discs, but not sure if there is one available just for that game.

I got tired of waiting for a sale on that game and eventually purchased it for $19.99. It went on sale sometime in Feb of this year, I believe for $13.99. This is only the second time it has been on sale.

It is a great game though.
 
Maybe with all of the revenues Sony gets from these sales, they can fix their fucking shit ass website.

Does anyone know if ARCADE GAME SERIES 3-in-1 Pacman/Dig Dug/Galaga) is three separate downloads or one launcher program that you pick the game you want (like say Pinbal FX)?

It would bother me aesthetically if I had one icon for the launcher and one icon just for Ms Pacman (which isn't one of the three pack).  Four icons is fine.  Or one master launcher that I could add Ms Pacman to the list is fine.

I know, crazy.

Its mainly some of the japanese games like ys the seems to not go down to the price that I want it.
Also anyone still waiting on the 20% off code like me. I might just bite and purchase.

It is very easy to find reliable lists of Xbox X enhanced games. Is there a good source for finding what games are PS4 Pro enhanced? Especially interested in a list that included what the enhancements provide, i.e. resolution, frame rate, etc

I know right? That's why I research every game, no matter how silly or uninteresting a title is. I thought Ace of seafood was going to be a low-budget cooking game instead you are a school of fish that shoots lasers & uses the DNA of victims to evolve and develop into a stronger school of fish in a game that looks like a space shooter in a aquarium.

I remember the same thing happened with 'the castle game'. I almost ignored it but it turned out to be one of my favorite games this generation. Base building meets Tower Defense meets the old arcade game Rampart.


I probably missed a few gems even trying to get through the entire list. So many games.

Anyway, I'm glad you found something on that list that interests you.
