Man the feeling of accomplishment after finally beating sephiroth.  Course it would have been easier possibly if they hadn't locked things out.

 
Aren't we supposed to be getting Path of Exile relatively soon(ish)?

A friend (who primarily plays on Xbox) suggested it to me because she knows how much I love Diablo 3.

When it was delayed in December, they said out would be out in early February. I don't believe they've commented on it since then, but given that it was a certification problem rather than a technical one, chances are good it will be out soon.

Honestly the way I tend to look at it is that KH1 is made for people who are looking for an action/adventure game where as KH2 is made for people who enjoy pure action games. For example in KH1 environments are made primarily for exploration: puzzles to be solved, (meh) platforming to be done, lots of hidden nooks and crannies, running around talking to NPCs to progress the story.

Compare that to KH2 where most areas are clearly designed as a battle arena and nothing else, the tight spaces of hallow bastion where like 5 spiky ball enemies will spawn and try to trap and spin you to death, the areas in nightmare before christmas that all have environmental hazards you have to watch out for (or can be used to your advantage if you lure enemies into them), the pirates world being based around having spots of moonlight beaming down and you are only able to kill the pirates while they're in those hotspots, and so on.

Obviously that goes for every other part of the game as well but that's a really quick and probably one of the best examples about the different design philosophies the two games had. I don't really think it's that weird to prefer the first game over the second, unless you really care about learning all the ins and outs of a combat system and fighting the toughest foes KH2 doesn't have much else going for it. KH1 is a much more varied experience with the trade off being that no one part of the game is really that amazing or awesome, just solid. Not going to continue my wall of text here but I will end by saying that KH3 (especially now with all the leaked gameplay footage out there) seems like it will strike more of a balance between the two games.

I like Tower Defense games... a lot. And the ones I've played of these just aren't very good. They require you to upgrade the units in a very specific order. And, the upgrades are permanent, so there's no going back. They do this as a Pay to Win setup where they sell additional upgrades and make money from that.

With that said, I powered through one of them to grab all the trophies mainly as a form of protest against the Pay to Win setup.

 
If anybody actually cares, it's cheaper to buy Mutant League Football + Dynasty Mode Fully Loaded for $17.39 total than it is to get the same content in Mutant League Football Dynasty Edition for $19.79

 
Man it's been a long time since gohan looked like that.  I hope this rpg ends up being good.  There aren't that many good action rpgs on the market.

Two big take aways I read are build an elemental damaging class character and don't spend you skill points as soon as you get them from level ups. Skill points are hard to come by and you'll want them to flesh out your build later in the game to wreck end game dungeons.

Solid advice... I played the first game and about 5 hrs in I was not doing well. Found a guide and started over. I need to finish this before I buy the 2nd game

Have you checked out anything on it? It's a brand new game built from the ground up so while it's mostly the same game story-wise, there are plenty of changes and the modern graphical and control upgrade cannot be understated. I wish lots more games got this kind of treatment as opposed to slightly boosted "remasters" that get rushed out for a cash grab.

Even the crappy RE games usually sell millions of copies, and this one's a remake of one of the most popular classic games in the series that fans have literally been asking for for probably well over a decade.

Lol. I literally edited out like 5 words at the beginning and end (for example, it started out with a "Maybe because"). Was just responding to the snark I may or may not have correctly read into the OP's "It was that popular or release calendar thin?" comment. But it was pretty minimal snark by CAG standards, at any rate. Sorry to disappoint.

I honestly played very little. 2018 was me mainly playing masses of PC VNs and other PC games mainly. I don't know why I didn't play more. Mine was 60 hours.
