It's not listed on the sale page, but if you're like me and you still only have the Final Fantasy XV base game, both the Royal Pack and the Season Pass are $7.49 each, making what I guess is basically the Royal Edition $15. So HU.
So I would need to buy both expansions to make it the same as buying the Royal Edition?

Also, I have the Day One edition on disc, so if I buy the DLCs digitally, would I still need the disc to run the game, or would it run from the digital DLCs?

They're just DLC for the base game, so you'd either need the disc or buy the Royal Edition that includes the Season Pass and Royal Pack.

Me 3 weeks ago: Man, I don’t see AC Origins Gold hitting anywhere near this $33 price again anytime soon. Better get on it.

Me today, Origins download finished 3 hours ago: :<
Me 2 weeks ago: Man, I really want AC Odyssey and I don't know when it will be lower priced than $30 so I guess I better grab it while I can. It's my birthday week, I'm gonna treat myself!

Me today: See AC Odyssey on sale for $10 less than what I paid and the "gold" edition for $32 and instantly get a little bit salty over it. Even though I've been playing it and it's a really fun game so far.

I guess, unfortunately, that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

Am I still entitled to Assassin's Creed III/Liberation Remastered if I have the physical AC Odyssey Gold Steelbook Edition? I haven't opened it yet, but I wasn't aware that those games would be included like Far Cry 3 Remastered for the Far Cry 5 Gold Edition/Season Pass.

Yes, I also have the steelbook dlc and I believe so. The remastered titles release March 29. The final installment of the first dlc wave released today (downloading it now).

Thanks, that's great to hear. I'm not ready for Odyssey just yet--I have Syndicate next, then Origins with all of its DLC--but I'm glad for the added value.

Cool. My PSN wallet has just enough in it to buy World of Final Fantasy and the Maxima upgrade. Maybe now I'll finish Final Fantasy VII. The only other Final Fantasy game I've played is XV.

Wow, Fear Effect: Sedna is 90% off. If Fear Effect: Re-invented becomes available for pre-order on PSN I'm guessing Sedna will be tossed in as the pre-order bonus. Or maybe it will be a PS+ title next month. I bought it back in January for $5.00. I haven't played it, but I did download it.

About dang time, been waiting to catch a sale on the royal pack for a while now, me and all 86.5 gigs of the game just sitting on my PS4 harddrive waiting patiently.

Ive jad a lot of fun with it, really liked getting the tame animal perk and the stat to give animal 50% more health and 100% more damage by killing that epic lion in the kill animals questline, then go find a good respawn location for alpha lion or bear, they can deal massive damage and can near solo battles, lots of fun for me

Origins is the good current creed game, right?
Odyssey and Origins are both good. Origins has none of the boating, dialog choices, and special abilities in combat that Odyssey added to that formula that makes it a bit better for me.

To add another wrench into things.... you also have to consider that you get AC III free with the purchase of Odyssey Gold.

I've noticed that since I have MLB The Show 19 MVP Edition digitally preordered, it shows the Digital Deluxe Edition for $30 in the store since that's the difference in the price.

I'm a big Diamond Dynasty guy and while the price may not justify it, what are the odds that if after I download the MVP edition when it launches that I can then still pay that $30 and double up on the digital bonuses?

Does that make sense?

I'm going to stream some AC Odyssey at 8 PM ET for those that want to see it in action. I'm still pretty early in, so spoilers shouldn't be an issue.

Man, I am Setsuna just refuses to budge from that $20 price point. It'd be a for sure get for me at $10. Is the Maxima upgrade worth getting for World of FF?

Here are the new deals for today:

*sigh* I guess I'll accept that in lieu of any other free games. :???:

I'll admit I don't know anything about Fear Effect, but $1.99 is a price point that piques my interest. Is this a good place to jump in or should I wait for Re-invented?

Doing that now, I did that when I got this PS4 though.
Also re-downloading.. gonna see if the site then shows I own it.

Oddly enough, I tried to contact Sony over this issue and got THIS message

I had contacted them 2weeks ago because my PS4 drive was burning out.

I haven't played Sedna yet, but I don't think it would be a good way to start the Fear Effect series. The original Fear Effect games were kind of similar to the original Resident Evil games. Fixed-cameras and tank controls, but more action and less survival. Sedna is an isometric tactical-strategy game. It has completely different gameplay.

A few years back Square Enix announced they'll be open to letting indie developers make games using some of their IPs if the game sounds good. An indie pitched Sedna, and Square Enix said okay. From what I've read Sedna isn't that good. My interest in it is soley because it's using Fear Effect. A series I enjoyed on the PS1.

But, Sedna isn't all bad. It got the gears in motion for Re-invented. Re-invented will keep the gameplay of the original Fear Effect, but have new graphics.

Again, I haven't played it yet, but I'm guessing Sedna is only good for people who are already fond of Fear Effect, and are happy something was done with it again.

As I said, I get Download the game through the console.
I just go to LIbrary and download it, but it's showing up on the PSN site as if I do not own it.

Debating on Secret of Mana for $20. Only been on sale twice, both times for $20, in the year+ since release.
Isn't that game supposed to be a complete mess? Maybe just wait for the rumored Secret of Mana collection for switch, if you have a switch that is.

DIdn't they release that as Japanese only?
The game is OK, the gameplay is a 3D rendition of the original Mana, but the music and sound effects are horribly remixed and hurt the game.

It is rumored to be getting a western release with an English translation.

I'm playing through it right now. There's nothing wrong with it outside for being a lower budget remake. As in everything is rendered in 3D now but not 4k ultra HD graphics. The character models also don't move their mouths during dialog. That's about it. You can switch between classic & new music and sound effects too.

Debating between Far Cry 5 for $14.99 or Watch Dogs 2 for $8.99. I own Far Cry 3 on PS3 and 4 on PS4 and still have never played them, lol.

It was a mess when it launched but apparently the patches have considerably improved things at this point. Probably grab that and the AC: Odyssey season pass since a sale on an Ubisoft season pass is pretty rare and I enjoyed the main game so much.

The store doesn't have a listing for the bare bones version of the game you bought from Best Buy. What you are finding in searching the store is the Bundle version with the bonus DLC esclusive to the PS Store edition.

You'll have to slum it and download the game from your purchase history while in the store on the actual PS4. If you are saying even then the game isn't working then I got nothing. Call support and tell them you bought it from BB but when you download it from your purchase history it won't load.

I loved the Secret of Mana 3D remake.  Started it the day it came out and played straight out through until plat. Yeah, I experienced a couple crashes here and there, but the autosave was a life saver and from what I understand, they've patched things since then.

I found the graphics were just right for the game. I wasn't expecting hyper-realistic characters with ultra-high res textures and moving mouths. This is Secret of Mana, not The Witcher. I though the graphic style was charming and perfectly fitting in the spirit of the original game. And even if it wasn't native 4K, it looked sharp and beautiful on my 4K TV.

I don't remember a lot of the music from the original game since I haven't played it since the mid-90s, but I found the music enjoyable, and from what I understand, there should be an option to switch back to the original music in the menus.

I highly recommended the game, especially if you're looking for the same charm and spirit as the original game, except in HD/3D. But of course, different strokes for different folks and all.

No, separate bundles of content. I've played maxima (considered it worth it at $16, for sure at the current sale price), but haven't bothered with the creature pack which is very optional and not near as much content as you get with maxima.
