Is the jurasic world game entertaining? I played harvest moon for ps2 and i enjoyed that type of game. Is Jurassic world game similar gameplay?

I wouldnt mind it if its similar to harvest moon. Got a toddler obsessed with dinos and this could be amusing for him to watch me play.

Jurassic World seems too daunting. I would need to work up to a whole world.

I wish there was just a Jurassic Park game for PS4.

Red faction guerilla remarstered feels like a future ps+ title...
It is a great game for complete destruction if that's your thing, though I can't justify re-buying it simply for a graphics bump. I'd much rather have an AI fix for their overly-twitchy guards when you're not doing anything and they just unload on you.

The final level though is a real slog: keep your vehicles alive as long as possible or you're not going to make it outside of one until the final segment.

I thought the entire way they monetized PoE was by selling you more inventory space ...
They sell stash tabs, but there's no way to increase your small inventory. It's not so bad if you use loot filters to hide most of the loot.

Far: Lone Sails is coming to PS4 on 4/2. It's definitely in the vein of a Limbo or Inside, but you're controlling a steam-powered vehicle that have to maintain, refuel, and upgrade on the journey you're on.

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2019/03/18/playstation-vue-launches-multi-view-on-apple-tv-today/

PlayStation Vue on Apple TV has multi-view now. The PS4 version is getting the ability to add/change channels in multi-view in real-time without redoing the set-up and filters for sports and news channels to make it easier to find them.

Oh man, the +1 variants. Those are going to be tough to farm solo (online seems dead). I am having fun playing through it again. I forgot what a beast Maria is. First two chapters weren't too bad on my own, but I suspect chapter 3 is going to be tough (-edit- nvm, wrecked chapter 3 boss first try with Julius).

For fans of Castlevania and gear grinding, Harmony of Despair for $3.74 is worth a look. The base game includes 7 characters and chapters (ie maps). If you want some of the dlc, I recommend Maria, Richter, and chapters 8, 9, and 10. Admittedly though. the game was a lot more fun (and easier) when it was active (6 player online co-op ftw).

Castlevania Harmony of Despair dlc is finally on sale! Never thought I would see the day. This was one of my favorite Xbox 360 titles (well over 500 hours put in). Already got the main game when it was on sale before, so dropping $10 to get all the dlc and play through it on PS3. The music packs aren't necessary, but you will want all the extra maps and characters.

Also got :ps4: SotN for $10 and NBA Live 19 for $4.
I actually bought castlevania on sale maybe like a year ago, but never did more than the first level. I should probably commit and get all of the levels and maybe ritcher.

If you are going to get into it, you really want the DLC levels. A lot of the must have items are from the DLC. Also be prepared to die a lot.

Emerald Shores is 40% off ($5.99), has separate trophy lists on PS4 & Vita, and cross-buy is mentioned on the Vita listing: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0770-PCSE00859_00-EMERALDSHORES001

IIRC, this was developed by a CAG.
That CAG is me lol. Thanks for posting it :)

Strategy guide is available online here for anyone who wants to breeze through the platinums, maybe 2 hours each with a guide: http://fordesoft.com/strategy-guides/emerald-shores/cover

Remothered: Tormented Fathers is on sale?  I didn't even know it was on the psn store.  Thats something to remember for the future.  Now I hope that Night Cry gets on here some time soon.

You should get a video up if possible so we can all see it in action.

I was wondering myself why there was no preview video or even a single screenshot on PSN.

Oh weird, you're right - I didn't notice the Vita page doesn't have the screenshots and video on it for some reason. The PS4 page has em though: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0770-CUSA04403_00-EMERALDSHORES001

Here's a video that shows about 90% of the game's Normal mode content:

I'm interested in seeing what that External Exodus is all about if that's one of yours.
Yup, that's the game I'm working on right now. Aiming to have it done by the end of this year. :)

I should have some cool stuff to show in a couple of months here. The things I'm chipping away at now are mostly things that aren't very interesting to show: menu screens and such. Think those will all be done within about a month, and then I'll be focused on dungeon design, cutscenes, boss battles, etc. - all the cool stuff that I can put into screenshots and trailers.

Agreed that all the levels are really good. 11 is brutal though, especially solo, so if you want to skip on one, that's it. 11 has some of the best gear though...

I've been playing the past few days. Finished 1-7 on normal and am now farming them for the necessary gear to take on hard mode. I've only died to 6's boss so far. To be fair, I played the hell out of this years ago and still mostly remember how to navigate the chapters and fight each boss. Newcomers should prepare to die, even on normal difficulty.

I've been working with Soma, Maria, Julius, and a little bit of Shanoa. Maria is strong from the get-go and in the end game, so don't let her appearance fool you. Julius is also strong with his ranged whip attacks, powerful sub-weapons, and teleport martial art (which I'm still farming for). Soma is very weak at first, but as you gather some souls and get him a good weapon, he becomes arguably the strongest in the game.

At least we can expect a discount at some point, unlike the Switch version.
It was $2 to pre-order on Switch through Mexico's eShop, if that counts as a sale >_>

Emerald Shores actually looks interesting and I do like the graphics, and I'm always up for supporting fellow indie devs and CAGs, but I'm a little skiddish after reading the "pros and cons" list at the playstationtrophies.org game forum. Have any of those issues been addressed in a patch?

Just looked it up, and wow that's the most negative review I've seen. FWIW, it looks like all of that guy's posts on the forum are just negative reviews of random games with the username "ThisGameSucks". Some of his criticisms are valid, but some don't really make any sense or seem accurate. Like "blind jumps"... aside from one kinda sketchy spot at the end of the first cave level, I think all of the falls have coins to lead you where you're supposed to go.

TBH, reviews are kind of all over the place on this one. Some love it, some hate it, but if you search for Emerald Shores reviews, the average tends to fall somewhere right in the middle. Which I think is spot on: if I were looking at it objectively and didn't have any involvement in it, I'd give it about a 6/10 myself, which is where most of the reviews ended up. Nothing amazing, hence the cheap price, but a good and unique experience if you're into challenging platformers that have a lot of variety. It's a tough one, but the level-up system is there so that the difficulty slides depending on how much grinding you do, allowing you to hang back and feed on the spongey enemies if you find it to be too difficult.

The controls/physics are basically the sticking point that determines whether someone enjoys it, and I've found that's been a very subjective thing that varies depending on who's playing it. I've seen reviews that say the controls are "loose" and I've seen reviews that say the controls are "tight", lol.. complete opposite reactions. Basically comes down to: if the controls feel wrong to you, you probably won't like the game much, but if they feel right, you probably will. I tried to model the feel after Super Mario World's physics, which I personally think was the best feel of the series, but I know a lot of people disagree there. The hitboxes are a common source of criticism too, and there are definitely some issues there, but it's mostly fine after you get past about level 2-1. Even there, I've seen people play through it without ever running into any issues. I released a patch that resolved a lot of issues that were present at launch, but there are still some to fix.

All that said... one major strength of the game is that I worked to put a ton of variety into it so that the game never gets stale/repetitive, and that's something most reviewers picked up on as a major positive. A bunch of minigames, a handful of sidequests that give rewards useful in the rest of the game, various level-specific mechanics (ride on a sleigh in the winter levels, make sure you stay hydrated in the desert levels), a multiplayer co-op "Tails mode" type of easter egg (just press X on a second controller), and so on. Even the soundtrack has a lot of variety with 20-something different music tracks. And then there's the Remix Mode that gives you an opportunity to play through the game with some subtle level rearrangements that make it a bit more challenging.

I love CornShaq reviews, but damn, he was harsh on this game, he rarely gives below a 5.

I'm going to do the same, especially since they went through the effort to make a proper trophy list and a vita port.

Congrats on the game Josh1billion!

Congrats on your game. I wish I would have know about this when it was first released. I would have bought it day 1 to support you bc this website has saved me tons of money. Plus I love the style n the game seems interesting plus it has a platinum trophy which is nice. I believe the critic was too hard on the score. I was not expecting the 4/10 from the things that he said. I didn't get the impression the game was that bad so I'll be the judge for myself. Let us know when ur next game comes out. God bless you!

How soon do you guys think we will see a sale on DMC 5? Reason I ask is that I have some PSN cards right now along with some GS credit and after skipping games so far this year I want to get a whole bunch at once right now with a 20% coupon and I'm debating if I want to pick up DMC 5 at $48 (w no tax here in CA on PSN) or wait for a sale since I've already waited and not bought it day one. I know stuff like EDF 5 and MK11 I need/want digital, but I wonder if I should wait for disk copies of DMC 5 and Sekiro on sale in case I want to trade them in after I finish them. Decisions, decisions...
could be a while since it's only 2 weeks old, i assume it sold well because it's gotten tons of praise from critics and gamers

Resident Evil 2 is a Capcom game too, it's 2 months old and there still hasn't been a digital sale
