Wasn't saints row 3 supposed to be part of the psn plus free games? Awww man, bummer because I was kind of looking foward to that too :/

Somewhat back on topic do you Vita owners think an 8GB card is going to be sufficient if aside from Persona 4 my whole library's going to be PS+ games? I'm kicking myself for passing on a 16GB for $30 when I had the chance and its making paying $47 for one seem even worse. On the other hand an 8GB is still $23 but back ordered for 2-3 weeks...
It depends on how frisky you are with what you have on your vita. I've had PS+ for 2 months and an 8 gb memory card and it has worked so far. You just gotta complete games to get them off the memory card. I basically played Gravity Rush for 6 hours yesterday in order to get Sound Shapes on it.

I'm officially tired of this question popping up.

Completely unrelated, can anyone tell me when Virtue's Last Reward is coming to PS+?

@Tyler Thanks for the input. That schedule does make sense. I'll always have my vita, but I don't know when and if I'll get a ps4 so I'd like my ps3 to last as long as it can.

It's totally a guess, but I think it makes sense. I'm hopeful they stick with a schedule similar to that. Like you I'll have my PS3 and Vita for a long time, but not sure how soon I'll get a PS4.

So you can only play these until the 14th, regardless whether your US Plus subscription on the same system is still valid beyond that?

Good find! Thanks.

... Did you read anything that was posted?

It will work regardless of what subs are on your system, since you need to make a new asian or at least one that has NEVER had plus on it before. It will also work for 14 days, though the offer expires on the 24th.

I'm highly biased because The Unfinished Swan was made by a very good friend of mine, and I bought a PS3 to play the game. That said, I found it genuinely moving. And while short, it's very much a game. You engage with rule sets and proceed through (relatively simple) puzzle situations. It's artistically done but I think it falls squarely on the game side of the game/art divide, to the extent that you believe in that distinction.

Also, a bit of a spoiler about the voice talent that seems to not have gotten much press but I thought was a cool touch:
The king is voiced by Terry Gilliam
.
Please ask your friend to adjust the field of vision in future titles. I tried the demo for Unfinished Swan and wanted to love it, but I kept getting a bit of motion sickness during gameplay. I had to finally give up. Never had that issue with Halo, CoD or just about any other fps aside from just about every Valve game. I still can't get through Half-Life, damn it.

Wooh there, dear boy! I did read what was posted, and have downloaded 4 of the games. I miss-typed the date of good until the 14th, when I meant the 24th. But you answered my question, old chap. Now go get some rest. You are way too bent out over E3, $500 and that job. You'll bounce back. You always have before. :boxing:

That's all fine and dandy, but you're still wrong. That is assuming you meant to say "So you can only play these until the 24th", which is what your reply seems to indicate. The offer is good till the 24th, but you still get 14 days regardless. So if you redeemed the stuff today, you have till the 27th to get your fill of those games.

Also a random side note for those that care, there is apparently a Plus exclusive Okami theme on the Asian store. Can't seem to find it, but someone else is welcomed to try. Also according to that page some things are expiring on the 19th, so we should get additional games.

Finding out that the digital version of Uncharted 3 is 40 GB has salvaged my night/morning for today.  I bought the disc version from Blockbuster's sale and was kicking myself for buying the game before I even played UC 1 and 2.

Don't get me wrong it is going into my download history still. Should I ever find myself having to sell the disc copy.

Yup, I remember seeing that and downloading it. I don't remember where exactly, otherwise I'd give you more specific instructions, but I think there's some section for miscellaneous freebies accessible from the main PS+ menu-- one of the splash icons, similar to how there's a splash icon for getting to the games section. Their PS+ menu is a little weird compared to the US store's PS+ menu.

I saw that Okami theme on Plus when I was there browsing their staples of games. When you first go to there Plus page, which is quite different from ours, at the center of all their advertisement, towards the bottom of the 3rd Anniversary Playstation Plus ad, you can select the "For users over the age of 18." Click on that and it will take you to a list of all the free offering from Plus. The Okami HD Dynamic theme is right below the Hysteria Project free game. It's on the 2nd row.

Found it. It's the middle 3rd anniversary page that leads you to a complete plus offering. It's fairly hard to click and oddly you can't search for the theme directly.

If anyone wants to see what it looks like...

Totally forgot that was my 500th video. Oh well, guess I'll make my 1,000th count!

If you go into your download list, you'll see that the Uncharted 3 game you had placed on that list has multiple files for downloading. You can skip all the languages, 3D movies to save yourself from having to download the full 40 GB.

Given that PS+ is losing Soul Calibur : Broken Destiny next week, it will very likely be replaced by Gods Eater Burst, with Saints Row 3 and Virtue's Last Reward added on 6/25.

Hmm, I just tried out Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I was really looking forward to it, having heard good reviews, and having heard it described as an RPG, my favorite genre. But all I'm seeing here is an FPS, one of the few genres I can't stand.. sigh. People really need to stop throwing around the term "RPG" so loosely.
I don't think I've ever heard anybody describe it as just an RPG, as it's a stealth game with RPG elements. I'm guessing that you only played the first sequence, which is just a scripted shooting before things happens and it changes up as you go on your first mission.

I realized that my PS Plus subscription doesn't expire until 1/2018. Guess I'm future-proof once the PS4 comes out.

I do plan on buying another year of PS Plus when I pick up The Last of Us @ Best Buy. Hoping Sony does a 3 months free when redeeming/purchase a year subscription so I don't redeem that code until that promo happens.

The Okami theme is super beautiful on the big TV. Love that the stock icons have this sort of painted look like the Okami logo, Okami HD so needs a really good sale or to come to Plus.

To put a little in perspective. I only have pure VITA games. And 16gb has been too little for awhile now. So im upgrading to an 32 GB next time I see it for $80 somewhere.

Was planning on trading my 16gb to GS for ~$25.
Well they're $83.60 on Amazon right now, I wish I wasn't waiting for like $100 in credit to come through. Have about $60 in credit still so maybe I'll go that direction... that's just so much money for a freaking memory card.

Agreed that is a ton for a memory card but for me it will be worth it. And I have been stalking the 32GB price on amazon. It seems to drop steadily from $86 to $80 every two weeks and then repeats the cycle. It never goes lower than $80. Next time it hits $80 (which will probably be a couple of days) im getting one.

I just can't decide whether to spend that much on one, the difference over a 16GB is a retail game after all. At the same time I'm having an awful hard time paying $47 for a 16GB. I guess in a couple months I'll probably have enough PS+ games to justify it, especially when Blazblue and Uncharted alone will be like 6.5 gigs.

I think in the long run you would benefit more from a 32GB. Finding one for a great price though is a lot harder than finding a 16GB for a decent price (i know Target has had some 16/32GB memory cards on clearance, of course to no luck for me personally). I thought I would be happy with a 16GB at first but it just isnt cutting it at all. So I essentially wasted money getting this first and now having to upgrade. Wish I could of put that $50 I originally spent back towards the 32GB.

I am really excited to add Virtues Last Reward later this month. And granted I get a 32GB really soon, I would like to go back and add Dokuro and some freebies like Ninja Gaiden back to my VITA. Those All Stars updates on VITA have been killing my memory.

If it makes you feel better you can trade the 16GB to Amazon for $38.40 right now. I'm the dummy that passed on 16GB cards for $30 at Target two weeks ago assuming I would never buy a Vita and now it's going to be here Friday. So I'm in a pinch now, already gonna have to upgrade to next day to have it on Friday (at least that's only $4 with Prime). Only one Target with 16GB gigs in stock nearby still and probably not on clearance but will try tomorrow anyway on the off chance before I order from Amazon.

I dont keep cardboard packaging. Didnt know amazon required every single little thing. Because of cardboard my card will only be accepted as Acceptable which is like $11 instead. Not worth the trouble. Good luck to you on getting a memory card though and welcome to the wonderful VITA world!

EDIT: Just found a like new 32GB memory card on Amazon for $60! SO excited!

Just imagine how big games will be on PS4/X1 500GB really isn't a lot of space (465 usable and probably minus another 20-40 for the OS)

I haven't downloaded UC 3 yet but 40 GB is insanely huge.

SO excited!
amazon is a dick about memory cards i got a memory card off walmart for 25 (16 GB) and then found 60 like new 32 gb on amazon... SO i figure I make 10 bucks off the 16 gb one... now been waiting and its still in their wherehouse and it says it would be processed in 2 days and its been 4 WTF

Heads up the 32 GB only has 29.7 free space on it when you get it ... hell im down to 17 GB already (15 after good and zero comes out)

hell if the dont accept it i will NEVER NEED MEMORY AGAIN

LOL
got

Figured they would be a bad route for trades. They are so nitpicky.

They're a dick about anything that isn't a game really - accessories, consoles, etc - even if you have all of the original stuff it takes longer. It's possible that they actually test it, who knows.

For those of you looking forward to Beyond Two Souls and want it day one, it's at newegg right now for $8 off and free shipping. Here's the promo code they game me via email: EMCXPWT62

Don't know if it's restricted or not though.

And I'm a little late to the Vita Memory discussion but to chime in, if you can afford to get the 32gb card I would say go ahead and get it instead of a 16gb. You'll love having that extra space. However, if you can't right now or just don't want to fork the extra cash over 16gb is perfectly doable for management. Only reason I have a 32gb is because I took advantage of some gamestop trade in offer and got rid of a  bunch of crap games for one lol.

What's worse than U3 being 40 GB, is the thought of downloading 40 GB via PSN! :)
Ugh, I know. It took over a day to download Deus Ex at 9+ GBs. This is part of the reason I still prefer retail over digital, because my internet isn't that great for downloading such huge files & it just takes forever.

Gave Machinarium a shot last night & had some decent fun with it. There's some tough puzzles, but overall, if you know what you're doing, it'll take around 3-ish hours to complete (trophies are non-missable as well, for those that care). It was kind of annoying that the screen felt zoomed out at times, even on a 32" HDTV. This was sometimes a pain, and while the game does give you a zoom-in function, if you're in a small area, it likes to scroll the screen to the void of nothingness instead of staying focused on the actual area you're. And it was a pain trying to click certain things that're either close to you or close to another object/the edge of the screen.

Only other complaint was there was a dungeon explorer mini-game right near the end that I really didn't enjoy due to a couple of reasons (mainly, hard to aim your gun to shoot at enemies). Otherwise, I will still say that if you enjoy point & click style games, this is still a good one and I'm glad I played it. Really can't go wrong with free, so might as well check it out. I feel like the Vita version might be slightly better due to the touchscreen controls, making it easier to access items and put them on objects, but I haven't tried it.

This is one area I hope Sony improves on the PS4. These downloads take way too long when compared to XBL. However, free is free.

Also a random side note for those that care, there is apparently a Plus exclusive Okami theme on the Asian store. Can't seem to find it, but someone else is welcomed to try. Also according to that page some things are expiring on the 19th, so we should get additional games.

That theme does look great, I wasn't going to do that Hong Kong account thing but I guess I will now. I love how there is a green brush stroke right in the middle of the theme that lines up with the letters on the XMB.

Glad I did, that theme really is great on so many levels. I know it's one of those unofficially official sort of features but the sharing between PSN accounts on a system is really such a great feature for so many reasons. Hope they continue it with the PS4.

How is this for off topic?
i know every one has complained. But my god I am getting headaches trying to read through posts with multiple quotes. Awful looking and hard to tell who is posting what.

Just discovered that there's a Gradius Collection on PSP. Now to stalk it like a lion waiting for it's prey to... go on sale.
For some reason I read that as Grandia Collection and I was wondering where that had been all my life haha.

@wrencrest Ditto. I don't know why anyone would think multi-threaded quotes would be a good idea. Time to find the programmer who thought of it years ago and smack him.

Are you talking about the nested quotes? Or are you talking about when someone replies to multiple different quotes in one post? Both are awful, I'm just curious which one you're referring to.

Tyler I guess its nested? But honestly I don't even know what the hell that means other than its the new way they quote now. All I know is i never had trouble reading quotes before the site upgrade

You can go over to that thread and tell him that you want to smack him for that.

I'm talking about the guy who came up with it for forums in general. I figured it was in other sites as well haha. Or is it tiredjohn's own creation? If so, it'll just be a shameful shaking of my head in his general direction instead.

Nested quotes have been around forever.  CAG was one of the few sites I used that didn't actually use them, well that is until they transitioned to CAG 3.0.

They're really not that hard for me to read, the reason I don't like them is because they take up so much damn space.  And I still wish the quote boxes stood out more, they still really blend into the page way too much IMO.

I can tell that you guys are relative newbies. CAG used to have nested quotes for a long time before they got rid of them due to memory issues along with lots of old, big, and legendary threads.

You can yell at John about how bad they are and that they need to be removed.
