this would be awesome, as XCOM is one of those games I really want to try, but am not certain enough to buy it. Really hope this comes to fruition:D

Spring Fever 2013 details:
With winter finally coming to an end, it’s time to celebrate the changing of the seasons with our annual Spring Fever promotion on PlayStation Network!

We’re championing independent developers this year, with a new indie title coming each week. You may have noticed during GDC that we are focusing on bringing the best independent games to PSN, and we’re happy to reinforce our dedication to indie developers with this year’s Spring Fever. Each week during the month of April, we will bring a gaming experience from noteworthy independent developers, such as DrinkBox Studios and Frima Studio. Additionally, each title features Cross-Buy functionality for PS3 and PS Vita, and PlayStation Plus members get at least 20% off each title during launch week!

Spring Fever also offers sales on a number of games and add-ons from popular franchises each week, as well as some great deals on movies themed to each week’s sale, which you’ll learn more about in the PlayStation Store Update posts each Tuesday.

Wishful thinking I admit but a man can dream right? :)

I wish there was a way you could TRADE disc copies of games for the digital version. I would more than happily give my xcom ps3 to gamestop or best buy in exchange for a code for the digital version....

Seems like a no brainer to me, basically turns profit for the companies since they will sell my used copy for more than the code the publishers give them to accept

well I expect that would create some weird problems, considering who gets the money from used sales. I can see it happening in the future though, in a similar fashion to walmarts "DVD to Ultraviolet" promo, which basically has you pay a buck or two for a digital copy. Not sure how many people would actually do this though, at least not until cloud gaming becomes more mainstream. HDDs just aren't big enough for most

nice, will get guacamelee at that price!!

Should I buy the game on ps3 or vita? It does not matter where I buy, I will have access to the game on both plataforms right?
Also I could swear GTAIV was on sale on Xbox just a short time ago. GoD and DLC.
I'd be interested in getting the Episodes of Liberty City game on sale, which isn't on Xbox Live at all so I'm looking forward to this sale.
I'm trying to remember what Spring Fever was last year. Was it just a series of sales or was it a "buy more, get more back" promotion? Did they have a bunch of new games for Apring Fever last year? These sales all blend together.
It's always been a promotion, besides the weird 2010 version, about promoting new releases with some sales to go along with it. I don't know why people around here expected a sales-heavy promotion besides the obvious point of this thread.

If it shows up on GameStop's DLC listings, then you could trade in the physical copy for a code.

I would highly recommend just buying it (not necessarily on PSN). It was probably my biggest surprise of 2012 (probably because it was my first real strategy game). MSRP is $40 now, so finding it for closer to $20 won't take too long.

These sales are decent, but since I built my latest PC in Sept a lot of my purchases have been for it. Between, Amazon, Steam, and GMG, Can't beat PC game sale prices.....

Best Buy had it for $15 last month. I almost picked it up, but my backlog talked me out of it.
hooray! i can finally hide the default apps i never touch instead of keeping them all on their own screen, taking up real estate :D
My thoughts exactly. Plus if they're seriously bringing over 100 games to the platform this year the Vita needs this badly. Now where are those reasonably priced 64GB memory cards we all want...
Where can I find pics of sarcasma? I google imaged sarcasma tits best like you said but no evidence of this sarcasma.
I almost made a similar joke, buen trabajo.

As for the Vita folders thing, there still seems to be a limit of 100 apps, so the folders don't really do too much. I guess it'd make navigation faster as you could have all the folders on the front screen rather then swiping down to the correct page.
It seems Hot Shots Golf is forever on sale. I just got the Vita version on sale a few weeks ago for under $10. It's good to have returning items on sale just in case people missed the sale. PSN needs to have a little more variety on sale and PS+.
When was the Vita game on sale for under $10? Even during the Vita anniversary sale it was still $17. Been waiting on that one to hit a good price digitally, it would if the normal PSN price wasn't still $40.

It was after the anniversary sale when they announced some new DLC for the game. I'm too lazy to look it up...

I'll most likely bite on Guacamelee since it's going to be on sale for PS+ subscribers. I'll have a little over $14 credit once my $10 promo credit kicks in, so if it had been full price I would have passed since I don't want to add any funds to my account right now. ;)

The cross play helps too, will be nice to have something else for the Vita...assuming I can free up the space on my sad little 8gb card.

E3 2013. But please remove "reasonably" from that sentence.
I'll most likely bite on Guacamelee since it's going to be on sale for PS+ subscribers.
I may do the same, but I need to try a demo first. Mutant Blob didn't really do anything for me, although these are clearly very different games.

Speaking of which, anyone know when we'll finally get this!? GAWD!!!

I'm new to the "free games" aspect of PS+, and I have a question: I know that those games are only playable as long as you have a current PS+ subscription, but if I download a free game for the Vita onto my PS3 then transfer it to my Vita, will that still be the case? I suspect it will, but I wanted to ask to be sure.

Yes... Why wouldn't it?

You may already know this (I'm not sure if it has been mentioned) but there won't be a demo released today unfortunately. I'm like you, I like to demo 99% of the games I buy.

Yes, that's always the case. Free games are only playable as long as you have the PS+ subscription. As far as I know, Sony has done a real good job to make sure there are no loopholes.

I reached the game limit a month or so after launch, so the limit has needed to be removed for about a year now. It wasn't hard as a PS+ member for a while before the IGC started.
It was after the anniversary sale when they announced some new DLC for the game. I'm too lazy to look it up...
You're wrong.

The game itself was on sale for $17.63 on 2/26 as a part of the Vita Anniversary sale and it hasn't been on sale since then. The DLC pack was on sale for $8.99 on 3/19, which I'm guessing is what you thought was the full game.

Yes, it's all tied to your PSN ID.

Guacamelee doesn't support Cross Play, as it's local multiplayer only on each platform. It does support Cross Buy/Save/Controller though.

I just get the terminology mixed up - not that it's confusing or anything. :p I want to play the game mainly on my Vita with the option of continuing that save on my PS3 if I so feel like it. Whatever that's called.

Sorry for the misinformation. I thought it seemed like an incredible price. I was on the fence to get it then and had kind of been kicking myself for not buying it. I feel better about it now.

fuck!!!!! I was excited to hear that they were going to discount Guacamelee for PS+, but I just knew it was going to be $11.99. I'm $.03 short....
Do we know when the guacamelee sale ends? I don't see it mentioned in the spring fever post, but maybe someone saw it elsewhere?
On 4/16.

Borderlands 1 and 2 together for $29.99 PSN and $20.99 PS+.
If it wasn't for the Mechromancer pack being extra, I would gladly trade in my 360 copy for $20 of PSN points just to avoid paying for Live.

Gonna just have to hold out for the inevitable GOTY edition and maybe sell my copy anyways as it gathers dust. My friends list seemed to abandon the game after a couple of weeks, not even long enough that I could blame Halo 4.
