Can someone confirm that the 2.10 update still limits you to 100 apps for the entire system? This makes no sense, I'm holding on to the slim chance that they meant 100 per page with the folders.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/04/09/ps-vita-system-software-update-v-2-10/
Create folders to more easily manage your favorite application icons on the home screen, with up to 10 icons in each folder and a maximum of 100 on the home screen (including icons inside the folders).

I'm hearing the 100 app limit is still in place. Also, the card icon that shows which game is in your Vita is to the left of the clock, though it's REALLY hard to see that it's just the artwork on the game card. Edit: Yeah, what the two above me said.

Also, to create a folder, press any area on the main menu for it to allow you to re-arrange games, then press the "..." button next to a game, then "Create Folder". You can fit 10 apps in a folder & rename it. While 10 seems limiting (guess since that's how many can fit on screen, that's how much they could work with), it's nice that I can fit all my PSP games, PSN downloads, & the misc. stuff like friends, maps, browser, etc. into their own separate folders, making the main menu much more clean & going down from 4 screens to just two.

Seriously, long time coming with my multiple memory cards.

Ooo, didn't know that, definitely a plus.

Weighing in on "is it worth the price...". Absolutely.

There's a demo for Page Chronica, but I wouldn't even recommend trying it. You can skip it at this price.

Really liking this Vita update, probably one of the best so far. Finally some organization! Btw does your icons save automatically or is there somewhere you have to tell it to save. Also double tapping an icon in edit mode will also bring up the create folder, delete, etc menu.

I have not played Amy and I have yet to see a fellow cags post that he/she liked that game. Its like its not even a debate that the game is really really bad. With that said... Its $2 very cheap tho it could def get cheaper(doubt sony will embarrass themselves by offering this for free to + folks lol). If i ever have that much left after getting a $20 card this weekend I will buy this game just to witness a trainwreck of a game. Like I know before coming into this game its horrible, but how horrible can it get? I would like to know:D.

Finally a vita folders update. Its been a long time coming.:)

Is it just me or is the Borderlands Bundle $20.99 for PS+ price? Because that's a pretty solid deal considering Borderlands 2 itself is $19.99

its pretty good if you didn't get borderlands 1 from ps+ already. OR if you'd just like to own it for a buck with the second game.

Sorry, I know this is off topic, but I just updated my Vita for the first time since it joined plus, is there a setting I need to change to auto-upload game saves or does it just happen?

In the Setting section, check under the "Playstation Network" button, then to "Automatic Update Setting" and check the stuff you want.

You have to set it up through the Content Manager app.

Online Storage > Vita to Online Storage

Click the "i" button to set each game to automatically upload saves for you and then it'll upload them later on while the system is sleeping. Or if you want to do it right then, just click select all and upload them manually. Card saves can also be uploaded as long as you have the card in the slot at that time.

Then go to the Settings app. PlayStation Network > Automatic Update Settings > Upload Saved Data to Online Storage

Sorry if this is a bit off topic but to all the people who own the Playstation Card from Capital One, do you actually use the card? I know a lot of people signed up for one a while back to take advantage of the year of PS+ and $50 PSN gift card, but is it actually a good rewards card if you make many PSN purchases? Do your points build up fast and are the rewards any good? Plenty of people probably just leave it sitting there since there's no fees

10X points on all PlayStation®Network purchases

3X points on all PlayStation® and Sony® purchases at Sony stores, Sony.com and authorized retailers*

3X points at quick service restaurants, movie theaters and on your mobile phone bill

1X points on all other purchases

The points will build up exactly based on how much you spend. You can browse all the rewards right here. I've only ever looked at games and PSN cards there, they're usually priced at a penny per point (as in a $20 PSN card is 2000 points). I leave the card on my PSN account, but I haven't actually funded from that account in months since usually I use BB Reward Zone certs or other gift cards to buy PSN card.

This discussion has popped up here before I think. I personally don't use my Playstation Card at all, I much prefer a cash back card. You can make cash go farther than Sony Rewards points.

My backlog is telling me no, but the CAG in me is saying hop on Borderlands. Tried the trial the other day of 1 and enjoyed it. Not sure when I'll get around to them, but the deal is amazing!

I tried to play through the forgettable demo of it on 360 quite a while back.
It was terrible, awful enough that I won't consider even buying it for $2. :nottalking:

Tempted to re-buy Jeanne D'Arc which I never finished on PSP, but I seem to remember it being extremely difficult. Enemies spawning on top of you, turn count limits, restrictions like "no one is allowed to die". Not sure if I'm willing to try again at $15.

Can't wait to pick up Guacamelee with my $20 of incoming PSN credit :D

It isn't that hard. You just have to learn to use the rock paper scissors combat and attack enemies with the proper type of units.
So guacamelee is awesome. The last 3 hours of my night just disappeared.
This. Almost exactly what I came in here to say:)

Labyrinth Legends (this weeks free ps+ game)

i wasn't sure what i was getting going in, i'm a huge fan of dungeon crawlers (nethack, etc) but the vids made it look arcadey... and yea, it's
1 part (easy) dungeon crawler (no permadeath)
1 part zelda style fast arcade combat (hearts for health, find equipment)
1 part puzzler

basically, you go into a dungeon (there are many, each with with secret rooms, 5 stars to find, optional time challenge, etc). you're a knight, though you'll eventually unlock at least one teammate (ai controlled for help in combat and solving puzzles). combat is super simple and very zelda-y... swing sword, etc.

i'm only done the first 5 dungeons, but i'm actually pretty impressed so far. puzzles are pretty darn cool, the game plays fast and easy. dungeon design is definitely where the game shines so far... teammate ai isn't perfect, but it isn't really meant to be (hard to explain).

recommended. not sure if i'd pay more than $5, but for free it's an easy play.

as others have said, it's not a particularly hard game. very fun though. if i remember correctly, there are some levels where when you advance to a certain point you can get ambushed, but that's pretty standard in SRPGs and as long as you're advancing tactically it's never an issue. if anything, i found the game too easy because i accidentally leveled up my chars a bit too much. had a blast with that game.

how is rainbow moon? Ive been meaning to try it, but the graphical style was really lame so i never gave it a look. I did hear decent things thougth. Is it a dungeon crawler? or a FFT style game?

Oh and if it is worth getting, is it worth paying the xtra buck for the 'premium' edition? Im a PS+ member so its not a big difference

Anybody else download the ps+ version of Borderlands 1 and bought the Bundle with both games? Borderlands 1 still says it will expire when ps+ does even after redownloading and installing it.

Thanks. I realized I've never set this up.

Why is the Borderlands Bundle more expensive than Borderlands 1 + 2 seperately? Are either of these versions the GOTY edition?

I really don't like Gearbox, but it's hard to turn down the first game at $7.

Edit: I think the front page post is in error, isn't the Borderlands bundle $19.99 for PS+ers? That would make more sense lol.

Kingdoms of Amalur is a must buy at $20. I love that game. If you were bored of it before, try playing a different character like the Thief-Mage hybrid. Yggdra Union at only $5 is a no-brainer. That is one of those rare PSP titles that I just couldn't put down until I finish the game. It's a gem, and so is Jean D'arc. It's one of my favorite role playing game over-all, on all systems.
Has anyone played ---

Hyperballoid HD - $2.99

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - $19.99 - Permanent Price Drop
solid game. got bored after around 20 hours, but solid game. combat/weapons are really well implemented, but the characters/plot is a bit meh.

Yggdra Union - PSP - $4.99
an absolute steal. really cool combat system. i have this on my psp account, will rebuy to my vita.

Jeanne D’Arc - PSP - $14.99 - Permanent Price Drop
great game. if it was 9.99 i'd rebuy.
Judging by the gameplay I watched on youtube, it's an SRPG with grid based movement/combat. Top world travel has visible monsters so that you can avoid encounters if you choose to and supports day/night system. The premium edition includes a (digital) soundtrack and a starter kit which I believe includes extra starting money (maybe pearls for skills upgrades).

If the game were more than 50% off, I'd probably bite... but seeing as it's a 1/2 discount, I may wait until the vita version releases to see if there is any bonus incentive. I'd rather have the portability on this game, given all my other SRPGs on PSN.

Hitman Absolution is an amazing game. Any of you guys who haven't played it and have EU plus, you are in for a treat.

I don't really like ripping on games but Rainbow Moon is a very mediocre SRPG. There is really nothing worth noting about this game.

I love PS+...but seriously, EU is getting some great stuff lately. Not that US+ isn't full of great games, but I would really like to play some of the EU stuff. My hopefuls for next month:
Catherine
Dead Space
Hitman
XCOM
Terraria (not likely, I know)
Persona 4 Arena
Sly Thieves in Time (would be awesome, but probably wont show up on plus for a while)
Mass Effect
Ratchet & Clank FFA
Okami HD
SSX
MGS HD (even just one would be great)
Rayman Origins
Saints Row The Third
If any of those are in May, I will be very happy indeed. Probably won't be, but one can hope;)

EU is great for retail games but 90% of them I already bought on disc when they came out

While there are some I'd love I prefer getting psn games I never would have bought were they not given out for free

Admittedly I wasn't much of an sprg player when I first tried it, but I just have vivid memories of enemies spawning on top of my party with no notice, getting the first move and using burning auras to obliterate me. Frustrating when you have a 'keep every part member alive' requirement and they literally dogpile your weakest link. For what it's worth, one review on rpgamer says its difficulty is moderate, and one ranks it as very difficult.

Oh, many thanks to those that recommended P4G during the Persona sale! Finished it last night.. It was fantastic. Very glad I got P3P at the same time.
EU+ IGC selection is superior, the best of all + regions. Is this even a debate anymore?
There's no doubt the EU PS+ does a better job at releasing newer games that usually hold more value (although you can get a copy of Hitman for $17 on Amazon at the moment). Whether that makes them "the best" region is still a matter of opinion. I've read lots of different comments for April's content, I personally prefer EU's Okami and Virtue's Last Reward, but tons of people seem to prefer Demon Souls over both of those, despite its age. I also think Malicious and Labyrinth Legends are great "obscure" choices that, even though they only cost $10 each, I much prefer over LotR War in the North.

You can put lipstick on a pig...:)

I don't question the value of US PS Plus because it is great regardless, but the gap in desirability and value between EU and US seems to be growing wider each month.

If you're talking about value based on the going price for each game at the time it hits PS+, then you're probably right. (I'd be interested in seeing a list sorted by value, EU definitely wins for April because of VLR). But desirability is still a matter of opinion. I personally hope the US doesn't get Hitman Absolution, it does nothing for me because I've never played any of the original ones. I just bought the HD Trilogy, so by the time I get those completed and get to Absolution, I should be able to pick it up for just a few bucks.

Of course, taste and usefulness is highly subjective to each person. For me, it's pretty much all about having PS3 and Vita games, cloud save back-up, automatic updates, discounts, and the other benefits I get with US PS+ while I'd only get PS3 games on EU PS+, which wouldn't be worth it to me. It's no contest that US PS+ is way better for me.
